Wanna bet?? He gets embarrased easily, but I am just hoping he can feel relaxed with everyone by then. Yes, I thought I would actually buy some pirate things and a tropical shirt(all as cheap as chips), and give them to him for Christmas!!! Must get a picture of his face for you.

I'm rolling on the floor LOL...you MUST get that pic...oh, so funny!!! Well if pouting won't work, get him liquored up and maybe that will work better! Ha Ha Ha Ha

Not sure if we know the specific nights, but someone mentioned having a pirates and a mexicalifagilistic night...no tropical night was mentioned, but I've had these on other cruises...guess you have to be prepared for anything. I'm thinking of going with the basic staples...black pants, white pants...white shirt, maybe a red shirt and a floral shirt. Then I'm covered no matter what special nights we do.

My packing list is getting longer and longer. Going to have so much to bring. You should see my list of things to buy that I have picked up on this board. Clock, downy release spray, extra power points, bungee cord for verandah door, wire coat hangers, sea sickness meds, etc, etc, etc!!!

I just think that once he meets all of us and we overwhelm him with fun, he won't be able to resist! Just make sure you pack his special clothes because he might not.

I think we have just about got him to agree to rent a tux, but he is not too thrilled!! We have friends who went on the Queen Mary 2 a couple of years ago, and they love dressing up to the nines. They were really encouraging him. Mind you I think she would like me to overdo things a bit too with proper evening gowns, but no way! I would like a long black dress, or a long black skirt and a couple of dressy/sparkly tops. My friend said she would lend some dressy cover ups/bags etc, but where am I going to pack everything? We will still have to bring a suit for John.

I will have to cut down on my casual things, but as I go through those quite quickly in the heat it looks like I will be spending plenty of time in the laundry!

BTW, Marilyn...you said you'll be available on Nov 25 just getting into town...right?...John said we're not leaving until the 26th...he wanted to add an extra day before driving home. Fine with me, the longer the better. So, if you're up for it, we could do a miniDISmeet on the evening of the 25th or if you have plans or want to relax that night after traveling, we could do bellini's for breakfast on the 26th if you don't have any plans yet. Maybe even do it with Karen and Ted on the morning of the 26th.

Our Dec cruise is our first ever cruise!!

I wouldn't like to plan a meet for the 25th as the planes have a habit of being delayed.

We have a problem with Monday as we are meeting friends for breakfast! They are coming down from Georgia to spend the week and that is the first time we are getting to meet! We are getting together for 3 meals and MCMCP and will be doing some park time together too. We met on the Dis as we were going to be at POFQ at the same time, and so met up a few times when we were there in Feb 2006.

It's a shame!

Thanks, kinda crazy to be 50 years old.

Started the morning with getting 4 kids out the door.
Vanessa (6:30am High School)
Annie (7:30am Middle School)
Drew (my nephew, going to commute to DC 7:30am)
Gretchen (time to get her up for 8:30 am school bus)

So far everything smooth.

Mom will get up soon and I will see how she is feeling with all the new meds.

Going out to dinner tonight, that is just perfect for a celebration,

Holly- Sorry your ex is driving you a little crazy. Good luck with the first day of school!

Well, he sent me an e-mail apologizing for forgetting about Tyler's orientation and told me he feels just awful about it, but that he's really happy I still managed to find a special way to make sure Tyler gets all the info he needs. (More on that to come...with pics...after I catch up on posts). AND he told me he's going to reimburse me for the $60 enrollment fee for the before & after school child care AND he'll just pick up that bill every week, because the only days Tyler will be using that are Thursdays an Fridays when he's at his dad's. The man came to his senses. Most people ask me how come I don't go off on him when he does stupid things, but patience & keeping my mouth shut work best.

Back to work for me today. I was just letting Olivia watch some Little Einsteins before we left. She loves this show now- she keeps shouting things at the tv to “talk” to them, and dances around to the music.

Too funny! Olivia's such a cutie!

So Angel puppy is still at DD Sandi's house and I'm told she's being good. She loves playing with all Sandi's pets...2 small dogs and 4 cats (and a bird and a turtle)...I'm glad she's behaving better. They have been working with her on getting her trained.

Ella kitty is sooooooo happy that doggy is gone. She gets me all to herself again and has the run of the house without the dog chasing her around. She's cleaning herself on my partially bare and partially bandaged foot and it tickles everytime her ears brush against my foot.

We'll give it another week or two and then think about taking Angel back home. Hopefully, I'll be much improved by then.

I'm just glad you had somewhere for Angel to go and it's good that she seems happy there! Your legs will keep getting better before you know it!

Holly, good morning. How was Tyler going off to school?

Finally caught up with the chatting! Love it!

Well, since inquiring minds want to know..... Here's the day so far: When Tyler's Spiderman alarm went off this morning, the first thing he said was, "FINALLY! School!" I've never seen him so eager and quick to get ready to go! We actually arrived at school 10 minutes early.

Most of the pics are blurry because of my cruddy phone camera, but it's better than nothing!

Tyler was thrilled to find a palm tree in the classroom because it matches his Caribbean outfit (which doesn't show up well in the pics):

He'll be headed to lunch in 10 minutes and I haven't received a phone call yet, so I trust he's behaving well. When I left him this morning, he'd already found a little boy to play with who looks a bit like him: blonde hair and glasses. Cute!
