I watched (just the other night) a movie based upon a interesting perspective of a reporter who's boyfriend was murdered because they were uncovering details that Diana was MURDERED and that it was not an accident. I don't know - however, if it was true... but the video from the tunnel "disappeared" and lots of other evidence...
There are several conspiracy theories regarding the trajedy. I recall Dodi Fayed's father had a website with photos and security videos, and offering a reward. Interesting stuff!

Hi John, nothing happens when I click on a smiley that I want. The box that says - disable smiles in text in not check and my posting rules says that smiles are allowed. Is there something else that I can do?
Thanks, Anige

Angie,

I seem to remember someone else having this problem on another thread, but cannot remember the solution . . . you may want to try the technical support thread. My guess is that it is something within your browser or your system causing the issue.

All the smilies also have keyboard equivalents. Have you tried using them? If you hover your mouse over the smiley, it should show you the keyboard equivalent to the smiley. For example, if you type a colon followed by a close parenthesis, you will get the plain old smile :). There are lots of people who do not click on the smiles, but have memorized the keyboard equivalent to the ones they like to use.

Jackie,

If you put a Bouchon (special stopper for Sparkling wine) in the bottle and keep it in the fridge it can last up to a week!

Karen

Thanks, I'll pop in to my corner wine store and get one today. Guess I'd better put that bottle in the fridge to chill!

We arrived at Heathrow the morning Princess Diana died. It was very eerie driving around London, listening to the news. The mood the entire week was somber, and we saw tributes and flowers (stacked four feet high!) at churches and at Harrods.

Woody

Hey Mr. W, hope you have an especially nice day today! ;)
Which day is the race? I hear Seaulater (Linda) is participating and some more of our cruisemates are too! Good luck to all of you doing the 5k/half marathon this weekend!

Hi Kathe and Happy Birthday. I noticed on page 1 that you are going solo on this cruise and I am too ( my first ) And I am from Alberta. I mostly have been reading the many many pages but have been posting these last few days. I hope I can keep up. I am wondering if we can maybe link our dining? I am on late dining but I have no idea how to link ressis.
Enjoy your Rosa Regale... I love that wine. I tried a glass at Epcot in 05 and I am hooked. I even found it in our small local liquor store. I read some where on another post that it is cheaper to get a Costo so I am planning to bring a few bottles in May.

Thank you Angie for the birthday wishes. I have trouble keeping up here too, but I sure do try! What part of Alberta do you live in? My son just moved there in Feb this year. He is living in Hinton.BTW we can't buy liquor in Ontario outside of a liquor or wine store, so Costco isn't an option.
I'm sending you A PM about dining.

Way way behind on the thread, but ESPN game day in Blacksburg this morning, GREAT SHOW!!

Don (my DH) and Vanessa (exchange student) are in Blacksburg to visit Daniel and go to the game. SO EXCITING.

Turn it on and watch it, if you can...!! I love Blacksburg VA!!

Lisa- I’m glad your exchange student made it there safely at last! How long does she get to stay with you?

Vanessa will be here the whole school year!! School starts Tuesday, which is my 50th birthday!!

This is frustrating, I keep losing my server connection:headache: I just called and guess I need a new modem from them, but it will take 4-5 business days to get here:sad2: I will have an awful lot of catching up to do! In the meantime I keep trying, but every few minutes I lose my connection, ugh!

Hi All...it was a rough day yesterday, I never even got online. I'm about 20 pages behind in posting, but up to date with all the reading. Today the brother mother hen comes home. YEA!

Yesterday I went to my first follow up wound care appointment. I learned a lot. My condition is not just the result of the puppy scratching. That's how it started, but that's not why it happened. Initially it was the edema and they have to find out the cause of the edema. They will do diagnostics testing at my next appointment which is on Tuesday. They said it's either vascular or arterial...one carries blood to the heart, the other out of the heart. One or the other or both has a problem. I told them of my Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and my AutoImmune Disease and they told me that they wish they had a dime everytime they heard those diseases mentioned along with the edema, infection and wounds that I have. They have a vascular specialist working with the wound care as well as the infectious disease specialist. They commonly interrelate. I have been seeing a rhumotologist and I thought that's all I needed to do...apparently not....so now begins another level of diagnostics and treatment....all of it extremely painful....hope they give me good drugs....at least we'll get to the root of the problem and get it fixed.

From that appointment, we went to the moseleum with Ray on his and mom's 21st wedding anniversary.

Then we had an errand stop to run and then went out for some lunch. By the time I got home, I was exhausted and elevated my feet and crashed.

Now, back to where I left off posting....I believe I was about to repond to Bubba.....

I don't care what medication shes on right now,GrumpyJohn, were in trouble dude!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Jhalkias must not have seen my op because he hasn't chewed me out yet!:lmao: Our only hope is to recruit as many suckers as possible so we have someone to hide behind!:rotfl2:[/QUOTE]

Since you're not recruiting many senioritas for this tequilla tasting...might I suggest you invite seniors and senioritas for a tequilla party...offer other forms of drink as well, ie, champagne and beer, and maybe you'll get a lot more takers....everyone is always up for a good party! Then there would be no need for wigs to be involved!!! Although I would love to see the pic. :rotfl2:

What was the "game" of it? This is totally unfamiliar to me. If it was a jump rope rhyme then the reason for that is I am and always have been a total klutz. I was so glad to learn that word in college from my freshman roommate. If it existed in Yiddish, then I was not the first one!

A hand clapping game that you played with one or more others and it was said during jump roping.

How are you feeling today Deb? How is Angel behaving?
Jan :earsgirl:

Today is a better day since I have rested last night. Angel is still misbehaving, but now she's at Sandi's DD house down the road. I can't see her until I'm fully healed, which could take a while. :rolleyes1

Hello cruisers,
I have been asked to give you a message from your friend Nan (nskjerven):

Hello dear friends:

I’ve just come home from a morning mammogram/ultra sound appointment with my mom. My mom has been diagnosed with a breast mass (or 2) and I’m the point person to work with her doctors on getting a biopsy (with in the next few days).

It’s not looking good and I expect that we will shortly be scheduling surgery at a minimum course of treatment.

Mom is also is under care from her eye doctor for a laser treatment for glaucoma. (okay, and a bad tooth and so on and so on…it’s hard getting old)

Prayers are much needed for strength to get thru the next few appointments and find out what is the actual diagnosis and treatment actions.

I’ll keep you updated as more news unfolds,

Nan

(jen/tigg/aisling/jill: If you guys have a chance to drop in on the West Repo thread can you please post them a note on what is going on with me and let them know I’ll be back when I can)

Nanette R. Skjerven

Wishing nothing but the best to Nan and her mom...it is so scary to hear this news. Fortunately they have made strides of progress in this field medically and hopefully they will get Nan's mom well very quickly. Lots of Love, Hugs, and Pixie Dust to Nan and Mom.

Deb, I am so glad you posted. I was trying to read the last 50 pages to try and figure out how you are. You really will need to take care of yourself.....youhave a long road.

I have edema bad. That is why I went on my quest to lose weight (now about 30 pounds). they have checked my heart and million other things and can come up with no reason. I hope you have better luck!!

Take care, I am thinking of you and praying for you,
Lisa

Deb - I did wonder about you yesterday. I knew you were going to the mauseleum with Ray and was worried it would be too much. Sorry about the less than good news on the legs, but in the end they will get to the bottom of the problem for you. For now -

HollyTyler - Thanks for the Welcome
Deb - I have not booked a room yet but I am thinking the Radisson? I love Grills, we were there on our last trip in 05. Yes I am a Tink fan, it took me forever to figure out how to load a new avatar, thanks, I will PM you, with my info.

Lisa and Darryll from this cruise are staying at the Radisson. You're welcome to join us at the Grill, if you'd like.

Aisling - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mum.

I saw something a few pages back about Mothers day being on CC. I lost my Mum Dec 22, 2001 and I would love to do something on that day and I am also Mum to 2 beautiful girls.

Then you definitely will join us, probably Serenity Bay on CC in the morning. It'll be nice for all of us.

Can someone tell me why my smiles are not showing up??
:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi Deb,

I do the same...one day at a time. Some days are ok and others can be really hard. After seeing my aunt yesterday I was barely able to make it through the rest of the afternoon at work. When I got to DH work and knew that I did not have to keep a "stiff upper lip" the water works started.

Mom and I had the same doctor, who called me when she was notified. She told me that if I wanted she could perscribe something, but her best advice was "Just cry"
I was on vacation from work to day, but kept busy doing some power cleaning. So today was an ok day.

I do have two siblings. big brother and little brother. I have the task of handling her finances. They were both helpful when we had to make the arraingments and clean out her apartment. Now we are planning on what we want at her Life Celebration we will hold in October. Her birthday is Oct 10th and we wanted to have a celebration which would not be as somber and more of her siblings and their families would be able to attend. We are planning a BBQ at a local park. Mom loved BBQ. I want to do a butterfly release. My older brother and his family are making a photo display of her life.

It will feel good to celebrate her life....it's beautiful what you are all doing.

 You will be in my thoughts tomorrow when you take Ray to the moseleum. I know it will be hard.

Thanks, it went ok....as well as can be expected.:sad2: :guilty: :sad2:

Hi,
What part of Alberta? Darrell (my DH) did his Master's degree at the University of Calgary so I lived up there for the last year he was there. We loved living there. Spent a lot of time in the Banff and Edmonton areas too. Lake Lousie was one of our favorite places to visit. And we also spent a lot of time at the Calgary zoo. And it was great being so close to Hockey too!

I can't wait to try this Rose Regale - NOt sure we can get it here. Had some chocolate covered strawberries last week and enjoyed, but John says strawberries and chocolate don't go together!!:confused3 More for me!:rotfl:

Darrell doesn't think they go together either! More for me that way :cool1:

Kathe, Lisa, Marilyn....thanks guys....it seems we will get to the source of things now...Lisa, they told me about the weight thing too for the edema. They said sometimes it just clears it up and sometimes it doesn't. But it's worth a try. I just received my first month's worth of food from NutriSystem. This is my first order with them and I started it today....so hopefully, it will help and when I can I'll add my exercises at the ballet barre that I just got.

In 7 days I gained 13 lbs....mostly fluids because I threw up for 3 days in the hospital and ate a hospital diet for the next couple of day...so it's not the food intake this last week....yet I gained another 13 lbs...in one week....that's a lot of fluids!
