HSM2 AGAIN! - But the baseball scene...love it! "I don't dance."

DD has watched it every day since it came out! I've only caught the whole thing once. Thought it was good, but a bit cheesy!! (But I love Cheesy!!)

The baseball scene is excellent!

I got her the soundtrack as a back to school gift. Can't beleive she starts school tomorrow!

We will be in Knoxville in a few years for the Oregon vs Tenn game. Have always wanted to see a game in Knoxville after driving through there when we moved from Washington D.C. to Arizona. It was game night and we couldn't find a room at a hotel until two hours outside of town.

Hey there been2marceline! Sorry I haven't said hi lately, but its been rough around here the past few weeks, and I haven't posted much! Hope all is well with you an yours!:thumbsup2

Leslie won't say anything, but we are quite proud of her.

Yesterday they held a really nice awards ceremony at the college she teaches for and Leslie was presented with an award. She was named the top instructor for all of the Bio Sciences. Since she won't pat herself on the back, I will!

She also won't let you know she turns 38 on Wednesday. Love to bring attention to someone who really doesn't like it. Gotcha!

V, at least three times that I can count, on the podcast they have said how good the Yachtsmen's Steakhouse is. They have said it is a well-kept secret - great food, easy to get reservations, and not as pricey as the California Grill, or Canada. If you like seafood, I have heard good things about Cape May too.

Can't tell you anything about the Maya Grill, every time we have eaten at Coronado Springs, we have eaten in the Marketplace Food Court - and really liked it.

We have eaten at the Yachtsman last December for my Birthday. It was very good and we really enjoyed it! We will plan to visit again in November.

We may have been at Cape May on an off night, but we aren't buffet lovers either...

WOW, you guys can chat! It took me 40 pages to catch up again! Thanks, I had nothing to do this afternoon anyway....

Noel, my surgery sister, you know what I'm going through coz you'll be in the hospital soon having yours. Your words comforted me.

Heather, you are soooooo like Holly, you amaze me, such a giver in life, I'm fortunate to know you now....can't wait to cruise and do Vegas baby!

EVERYONE, your care, concern, prayers, support and hugs and love are coming back to you tenfold....I got em, I feel em and I'm giving em back!

Lucy and Bob came in person and I got a minnie face pillow and she's beautiful and a really cool box that has mickey and friends on it that I don't want to throw out.

Best yet, is the beautiful flowers, lime green carnations, that I got from everybody with a cute teddy and balloon....the teddy's name is DISy I thought it was clever coz I was dizzy at the time and it's love from my DIS family.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

You really don't know how much you have all helped. For every miserable procedure they did to me.....I closed my eyes and turned my head and I was hugging all of you on Mickey's ship....of course, drinks were in hand.

I'm finally showing signs of improving today...and John brought me a broadband adapter today so I could WiFi at the hospital. YEA! Happy Now! It has been very hard....after surgery....I threw up from Friday until this morning....YUCK! I think we finally got the meds right now and I'm doing way better. They said no follow up surgeries, so I'm happy about that....the legs are progressing, so I'm happy about that.....I can eat now, so I'm happy about that! It's all good now....we just want to go home.:flower3: :goodvibes :flower3:

Deb,

So happy that things are looking up! I'm sorry that you had to go through all of this, but now things will get better and so will you!

Deb...glad to see you back on line and posting again, which means you are feeling better. So happy to hear that things are improving! :cool1:

You guys were so busy chatting during the last 3 days of my convention there is no way I can catch up :sad1: Hope everyone is well, happy and healthy!!!! If some great plans were made, count me in :lmao:

I reconnected with a HS friend this week in PS and I think we now might be heading to DL in October for a weekend trip. Scott has to go there for work, and they (he and his wife) invited us all down to stay with them and hit DL :dance3: :cheer2: AND Scott said, sounds great!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, to see about ticket prices and soccer schedules. I was getting very sad that I was going to have to go a whole year without a Mickey fix, and it might be fixed. Doesn't DL do something like MNSSHP?

Have a great week everyone! Taylor goes to her Kindergarten open house tomorrow am and drops off all her school supplies....my baby is starting K, where does the time go?!

Kaylee,

You'll probably see this after tomorrow morning...

I remember when my soon to be 7th grader (tomorrow) started Kindergarten! I cried as she (smiling all the way) went into her first day of Kindergarten... She was so little and cute.

Sometimes I wish that we could turn back the clock, even for just a few minutes...

Hi Bubba!

Haven't had much time to look at Aricam as I've been working so much and it doesn't work very well on our Vista machines at work.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE Microsoft Vista!!

I do have it up now though and am enjoying the wildlife!

Good to hear from you!

Karen

All by myself...

All alone again, Digga, Dang, Digga, Dang...

Been a while since I said that!

Karen

Hi Karen,
You're not alone! Of course I'm on here--it's early for me! Although I've got to cut it short tonight as I have an appointment w/the eye Dr. at 8 a.m. tomorrow:scared1: ! I would never make an appointment that early but I have to get in and have him recheck my eyes. I got a new Rx about a month ago and ordered new glasses and they're awful! I've been wearing progressive bifocals for over 15 years and have had my Rx changed in the past with no problems but these are killing me. I wore them for 1.5 days because they said I had to give them a chance (which I understood) but that was all I could stand. I wonder if part of the problem is that these lenses are smaller than the ones I've had (therefore less in-focus space at different distances). Well, I'll find out in the a.m.

Deb,
I am sure there will be a whole group of us from the cruise hanging around together - feel free to help us out! I am sure Angie and Dennis will enjoy showing us around too!

Oh boy, oh boy! (as Mickey would say):mickeyjum That'll be so much fun! Deb and John, too!

Deb,

Not sure you REALLY know what I meant . . . by 34 year teacher, I meant she has been TEACHING for 34 years . . . She is in her mid to late 50's - and probably near retirement. No, 34 years old would be YOUNG to us!

I totally misread what you wrote, John, just like all the others! How funny! She's probably close to my age--now you're talkin' OLD!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Good luck Cherie! I'm past due to see my optometrist as well. My eyes have changed a lot in the last few months.

KAY EIGH WHY...

Got very busy with cleaning the kitchen and just now got back on!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning.

Deb - how lovely to see you here and so chatty.:thumbsup2 I'm sure you will soon be home now your legs are improving. Lots of love.

Cheri - Mushy peas. I found this recipe of the traditional way of making them. I think Marrowfat peas are a variety of peas, but they could just be dried large old peas - not sure, but they are dried.

"My old Mum bought dried peas (marrowfats if she could get them), half filled a basin with them, and put a teaspoon of baking soda in and boiling water to the brim. She left them over night to steep, washed them thoroughly to get rid of the baking soda and then put them in a pan with just a covering of water, a knob of butter and a teaspoon of sugar. She brought this to the boil and then simmered it until the peas started to break down, stirring from time to time to stop them sticking to the pan bottom. Result - a veritable moutwatering side dish to go with fish and chips or owt else. Since we cannot get marrowfats here, I buy the local "blue" dried peas and get excellent results. So there we are lasses, the ways and means to produce Mushy Peas"

Nowadays people don't bother making them, they just get tins of readymade.

This is what they look like!!! On the whole young people do NOT like them.:rotfl:
