Indiana Jones and the Temple of Dooming showing now...what's going on with the rest of the gang tonight?
Eating pieces of hard salami wrapped around jalepeno slices. Half watching a Lifetime movie, but not paying much attention to it. Watching my ebay auctions and searching for other stuff on ebay. About to go read more of my book.

Playing around on-line to avoid doing housework! And watching/listening to Sasquatch Mountain on Sci-Fi. Love cheesy sci-fi/horror movies.

Also contemplating the ice cream in the freezer...

love sci fi too, the bad ones even better...we all had ice cream sandwiches to chase our steaks.

Just watched the Sandra Bullock/Julian McMahon movie Premonition and now watching the Astronaut Farmer with Billy Bob Thorton/Virginia Madsen. DH has an ear infection so we are relaxing before we go to Napa in the PM.

Yum....steaks! After all the steak talk on here recently, I think I need to go buy one tomorrow for dinner!

I loved Premonition! I've been wanting to see the Astronaut Farmer.

Lunch today was a light salad with sliced leftover steak. Dinner tonight is tabbouleh in pita bread and wine.

we watched Zodiac the other night on pay for view cable. I tell ya that's one handy feature. sit on your hinnie and punch a button for a movie. okay not much more action that my current sit on my hinnie order the movie it comes in the mail, well with that one I have to load the DVD.:lmao:

I'm trying to motivate myself to start scanning my old non digital pictures. They are taking up 2 floor to ceiling cabinets in our family room, I'd love to use the space for other things...wish me motivation after the movie.

Ok - I'm going for the ice cream. Maybe I'll load the dishwasher while I'm there...

I say dishes after ice cream, then you do them all at once...

we are on a video pause....wilson is on a snack run. (seems he didn't eat much dinner tonight) he is not a steak eater.

DH and I were wondering the other night what did we do before our DVR and pay for view? I hardly ever buy or get DVD movies anymore. Too much on all our channel. By the way, anyone watch Big Love? We are HUGE fans!!

So I was looking at a Halloween catalog that came from Oriental Trading today. Halloween has always been my favorite time of year and it seems Tyler quickly adopted my love for fun decorations. Last year he asked me if we could make our house look like a haunted house for Halloween. So this year, while we were both checking out the stuff in the catalog, we saw tons of fun Halloween themed games & activities and he said, "Mom, I have a great idea! We should have a Halloween party and have all the kids from class come!" I must have been temporarily insane because I said, "Yeah, that would be fun!" :scared: I think he has 12 kids in his class. What do you do at a Halloween party for 5 year olds? Just play a few age-appropriate games? Make it a costume party? Order a bunch of pizzas? Hand out fun goody bags? With my complete lack of experience with kids, I'm not sure I could organize all that. But on the other hand, Tyler's birthday parties have all been a success, so maybe it really would be fun! And knowing Tyler, I guarantee he'd be eager to help. He's already throwing ideas at me. I think he suckered me into it.

Holly: our house was the Halloween party house for many many years with out play group. we were about 8 families at the height of the group, now we are 3 (with sometimes 6) parties are fun with little kids. I was under my role of "Nartha Stewart" in those days...gummy worms in jello was the favorite. google Halloween kids parties and you'll find lots of ideas. I suggest potlucks at this age and since it's Halloween you should have to do all the work. Be prepared it might be a tradition once you begin! For sure take group pictures one of the things that we love now (10 years into these freindships) is looking back at the kids to see how they have grown.

Thanks for the tips! One of the first things I thought of was that if I do this, it might become tradition. I'll mull it over for a week. My house is just so tiny, I'm not sure if it would even work. Not sure I could plan something in the back yard because we never know if it will be raining or snowing around Halloween.
