I'm yawn yawn yawning here! And even more so on reading the word yawn!!:rotfl:

So, off for a bath and then bed.

Have a good evening all. Thanks for the chats.

No Deb today yet, hope she is ok.

We have so many people coming to AZ that our old neighbors were actually from England. Their son lived out here and they moved here to be closer to the grandchildren great couple:goodvibes For us it was either move to Germany(not the nice part), Singapore, or AZ. I was expecting so needless to say AZ sounded best to me:)

Oh yes, Arizona by a long shot!

Can't wait to visit again.

Hope you have a good night:goodvibes I've been procrastinating on doing my housework before the babysitter comes. It's only 2:30pm here...she'll be here at three and our Gator Game starts at 3:30 our time. DH and I heading off to a date night dinner, football, and other Gator Alum...what more could you ask for:cheer2: Have a good night Marilyn:)

I agree...sometimes I'm not as creative as I want to be:confused3 I'm hoping when I call they will give me some ideas...maybe I'll wait a little closer to the day but not too long

Shirley was very helpful when I called her about DGS's sand bucket. I had no idea other than the sand toys what to put in. He was thrilled with her selection.

21 years last May for us.

We first saw one another on 13 Dec 1985, first spoke on the 18th, DH proposed on the 23rd, and we got married on 17 May 1986.
My father (and probably many other people) said it wouldn't last. :rolleyes1

22 years for us during this cruise too.
My DH says you don't get that long for murder! ;)

May 18th, 1991 for us. Sounds like we will be celebrating a lot of aaniversaries and birthday's during this cruise (my b-day is May 20).

Sounds like a perfect date to me, only it would be with Southern Cal alum of course.;)

Have any of you had the Bon Voyage things before? Just wondering whether to.

John would think it a waste of money, but I thought it might add to our first cruise.

Before our first cruise I kept wondering about ordering one of the Bon Voyage petit fours and wine packages, but eventually the Yorkshire in me won ;) and I decided against it. In my defence, they all include alcohol which I don't drink and DH wouldn't be bothered for. Then when we arrived in our stateroom, it was sitting on the table. With the compliments of DCL - we've never really known why but presume it was because we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.

I did eat the chocolate strawberries and some of the other goodies, and DH had one glass of the wine, but we didn't really appreciate it because we'd just eaten at Parrot Cay. I did put the remaining goodies in the 'fridge' but there's so much food available on board that they were just binned in the end.

It was a nice surprise, but I wouldn't order it myself.

I'm thinking of ordering something from Shirley for my DH but can't come up with any ideas.

Have a great time today! Hmmm....I was considering taking Tyler to the zoo tomorrow. Our local zoo is really small. You can see the whole thing in an hour. So we like the Detroit Zoo. It takes about an hour to drive there, but it's large enough to be a whole day adventure. In fact, last time we were there, we were there about 7 hours and didn't see everything. MIght end up going there tomorrow. I just can't decide! But the weather is supposed to be absolutely beautiful today & tomorrow, so we'll definitely do something outside. :thumbsup2

The zoo was awesome. We were only there for a little over an hour. the second Saturday of every month they have an early entry called Hour with a Keeper for donor level members. It's great - usually they have one or two enclosures where they are doing extra enrichment activities witht the animals. One month we got to go in the Giraffe's quarters. this month was Children's zoo - so in the little thater there they brought out 4 different animal ambassador's to learn about today.

First up Indian Crested Porcupine -

Next Diego the Ocelot -

then a Milk Snake -

and finally a Chinchilla -

If anyone has extra time after the cruise I strongly recommend a trip to the San Diego Zoo (about 1hr 45 min from LA).

Here are a couple of pics from our last trip up to DL 2 weeks ago. We finally made it out to the new Pirate's Lair Island. They've added some nifty new pirates things there.

OMG guys- I missed 25 pages!

V- what great pictures! The palo ones had me drooling.

Deb- What a pain about your mom’s house! I hope it’s not too much work to get it cleaned out- you need to be resting your legs! I’m glad the hospital will help you find another doctor.

Holly- I’m glad Tyler is adapting well to his strict teacher :) LOL about sitting near the cute men in your classes. I did the same thing in law school! One of those guys is my best friend to this day- though romantically it never would have worked (he was ALSO sitting himself near the cute boys!!)

Lisa- your exchange student is adorable. I hope the rash is clearing up!

Kaylee- LOL about the computer having an “accident.”

Marilyn- I hope John’s BIL is ok! We loved the Grand Canyon as well! I don’t think I’d try it on July 5 though, since it’s a holiday week in the US and would be very crowded.

Jackie- I may have to look into those gift baskets from The Perfect Gift! Yours looks really cool!

We were running around all day. DH went to work. I worked this morning and then had to do a lot of things to get ready for DBro’s wedding. Everything is coming together at this point!

Good Morning...I just woke up....The visiting nurse came today to wrap the legs and it was a lengthy and taxing process....All the paperwork and trying to get her to understand my degree of pain and what I would and would not do. She had orders from the doctor and needed to stick to them. She wanted me to scrub the legs today. I said not today. They still hurt so much from last Tuesday's experience. I said I soaked each of them today in Hibiclens (surgical cleansing solution) and that's all I was doing until they stopped hurting again. She almost walked out on me. Why is it so difficult for me to protect myself against procedures with the level of pain that I have? Finally she wrapped the legs, all went well and someone will be back on Monday. I may have to go through this all over again with another person. Great!

After she left I was supposed to do the walk through at mom's house with my brother, but just could not. I hurt too much and took a pain killer and went to sleep. Tomorrow is another day, I'll do the walk through then. :hippie:

I've been keeping up with the reading, but I'm about 50 pages behind in posting back...I don't think I'm going to be able to catch up...so if I didn't get back to you about something, please ask me again. Thanks.:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I can not even imagine how much this must hurt. I am so sorry.

Don't worry about the last 50 pages.....just start up again. That is what I have been doing and I don't feel like I have missed anything!!

Well, we had quite an adventure today. Vanessa got up at noon and the rash had spread more. It was behind her ear and it really started looking like poison ivy to me. She had never even heard of that.

We studied her insurance and decided on Urgent Care. We went and her insurance was fine, but they would not accept the faxed copy of her parents permission to treat. They said it had to be an original. The administrator decided that if we could get her mom or dad on the phone, then they would accept permission to treat over the phone. They were pretty nice but had to follow the rules. Well, I knew her mom was on some island with her cousins on vacation and her dad was teaching a photography class in Northern Norway at a resort. We came home and got her phone card and started calling. We got her dad out of dinner at the resort and he said we could go back to the Urgent care and he would wait for us to call back to give permission.

That went all smoothly and they gave permission and after all those hours....she had poison ivy!!

They gave her some steriods and hydrocortizone cream and benedryl at night. She should get better soon.

I thought that once Wilson was in school I'd consider going back for a law degree...no time... too much going on right now and my DH lawyer would be none to happy having another shark in the family :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

VA Tech just started.......First bad penalty on Tech. this is going to be very tough

do any of you guys watch Solitary? on the reality channel? We've gotten into it. Today is a marathon, new expisode is on now....:happytv:

Lisa: How'd she get it? I know that sounds like a duh question, but is it around anywhere you would be concerned about?
