I have just spent ages scrolling through past pages to find the post I wanted. There was a lady on our cruise who had brain tumours, and I have been thinking about her and didn't want her to be lost in all our postings, but I couldn't remember her username. Well I have found the post, the lady is Tina, tlb2864. I think we should still be praying for her.

I know this is far off, but does anyone else have a cruise booked after this? Dummy dates for 09? John did you have something? and Kim? I am going to make sure I bring a deposit to rebook on board!!

I plan on booking a dummy date in December. 2009 will be my 60th birthday and I'd love to do something special (Med-N. Europe!?!?!!?) IF I have any $$$ left

Thanks everyone for giving me the reinforcement that I needed to fight this guy. John wants to do the same thing that Holly said she would do.

I don't want to go back to him, but I think I'm limited with my insurance options....I'll have to check it out before my next appointment in one week.

John wrapped both legs for me tonight and they are much better now. The visiting nurse is due to be here on Friday. No thanks to him, I will continue to heal.

Deb, that's awful...not sure what you're going to do about it, haven't caught up yet, but-- I was talking to my mom about this (she's a nursing admin at a major hospital here in Houston) she says you should report him to the AMA immediatly, and to your insurance company. you absolutely do not deserve to be treated like that.

Jackie and Peg-had a great time last night loved meeting with you the down side was that all that fun and talking about the cruise and then I had to come back to reality that we are not on the cruise and some months until its here I can't wait to meet everyone and fun and relaxation

Everyone else "hi" anything big I'm missing I hope everyone is well. A little fun thing was I got my disneyshopping.com order in last week it felt like Christmas...I hid most of it for Christmas presents for the kids.

On a trivial note my DD asked me last week what rides are on the disney cruise? That was too funny her last DC was for her 3rd birthday so she doesn't remember much expect she was conviced there were two minnie mouses on the cruise

So, I just realized that tomorrow will be the first Friday in 9 years without some type of companion. Since I had Jaide, I started working 4 days a week so I could be a full time mom on Fridays and we would always try and do fun things on that day. With Taylor in full time K, now I won't have any kids on Fridays. Scott thinks I should start working more full time now Not sure what he has been drinking recently I will probably head to the school to volunteer since I will be lost! Or, I could hit the mall without kids, hmmm, there is an idea.......

Yes, and go to the Apple store and buy those iPods!

We have a dummy date for January '08, which I need to transfer to DU. I also need to do something with that date before the deposit is due. We booked two cruises the last time onboard - one dummy date, and the one we thought we were going to take this December. We already had one booked that was the other date in December, but cancelled two to book this one.

Anyway we are thinking January 2009 for the next one, and want to move our dummy date to that.

No date picked yet V - will be waiting to see the itineraries. We are thinking early January. Want to make sure that most of our friends can make whatever date we pick, and now we will probably have some great friends from this thread too.

And YES, Amy said you are ONLY allowed to book cruises with your friends!

Amy and I would rather write a check directly to the school (yes, I know some parents cannot do that) - plus they get the kids all pumped up with promises of prizes and parties that you are stuck.

Most of this comes from the PTO that keeps pushing the fundraisers because our schools cannot afford the extras for the kids and the teachers (all worthy - just hate using the kids).

I would just love to be wealthy and say to our school, this year, there will be no fundriasers, I would donate all the money they wanted to make so that no kids or their parents had to be salespeople, shilling cookie dough, entertainment books, discount cards, and expensive wrapping paper.

Lisa, that is very good, even the pros only have to average 200 to get in to the PBA. I averaged 170 last night, a little better then when we finished last year, considering I did not throw a single ball all summer, bad Pj.

I want the team to change it's name from Open Season to Dirty Gutters, we'll see.

I know he is a good bowler. Some VA state tourmament he told me if he had scored three pins higher, he would have bowled on ESPN2 for High School

we have one going on at Preschool as we speak (or write), they've promised the kids whoever sells the most gets a pizza party etc....I hate them! We don't need any of the junk in there!

What makes me a bit upset is we do give tons of books and supplies each year and I know - ESPECIALLY working in Finance what the daycare's budget and what they spend is....

we just got our supply charge 110. for each girl and luckily the daycare rate did not go up for hospital employees!

Until we cruised with you guys in December, we had always done January. I think January is a little nicer than December. Seems a bit sunnier. While everything is not decorated for the holidays, we have seen that enough now, and it seems a little more laid back.

The other thing that has worn us out, is being gone a week in December before the holidays. Last year was really bad with Mom's death, but we have always regretted it when we got home and had to scurry to prepare for the holidays.

Finally, the boss told me no more vacations of more than a few days in December. Real nice to be missed
