we have one going on at Preschool as we speak (or write), they've promised the kids whoever sells the most gets a pizza party etc....I hate them! We don't need any of the junk in there!

What makes me a bit upset is we do give tons of books and supplies each year and I know - ESPECIALLY working in Finance what the daycare's budget and what they spend is....

we just got our supply charge 110. for each girl and luckily the daycare rate did not go up for hospital employees!

The PTO does great things for the school, it truly benefits all kids, but I think sometimes they get carried away. There are lots of things our kids would never have if not for these dedicated people.

I just have always HATED selling.

I am not a salesman, and many times we buy the stuff ourselves to avoid the hassle. It just makes me crazy that I could write a check for the same amount to the PTO, and they would get ALL the money.

Oh well . . .

We are going to an out of town football game tomorrow night - travelling with the team, and eating at a great pizza shop in that town about 45 minutes away (Kim, we are going to play Wooster!). Should be a fun night - as long as we win!

Well Holly, I knew you would be ahead of me - but V? I am shocked! I think you started out slow V, and it is only a matter of time before you pass me up. I think I am the only guy on that list - and in second place!

Gator is doing great - I can't remember if I posted last night about this, but my mom has a dog run area which is a sep fenced area to put the dogs when people come over because let's face it, Rottweilers are not everyone's favorite animal....well she put Gator in there to get her acclimated a bit to the property and to Big Un (you know, I have no clue how to spell that!) and her plan was to walk her around the perimeter and introduce her to the property (they have a cow, some chickens, a couple turkeys.....don't ask, it's Polk county)

well sometime before bed Big Un let Gator out of the pen. Now my parents leave the driveway gate open and you know, she just snuggled with Big Un all night. So she's happy.....I do miss her, but I was a very bad parent to her so at least now she has constant companionship....

and Pixie (my Pixie Dust as I named her) my sister's teacup chiuaua - however you spell that! She has to live at mom's too since Amber's apartment won't take dogs...apparantly she is WAY jealous! She's an inside dog and wants to come outside!

well you guys know I babble....

it's funny, when I was at UF in the dorms, to dial room to room or from a campus phone it was just a 4 digit dial, I can't tell you how many people just call a fake number to call someone --- my roommate would get so mad because I would just talk to anyone who called. I was very lonely, all my friends went to FSU. I really would strike up a conversation with just about anyone.

My first roomie was ok, I even saw her last year at a Gator game, she played Sax in the Gator band and her boyfriend was the first lead singer in the band Less Than Jake (named after a dog) they stayed up late and smoked a lot though.

I have a few buddies in the IS (IT, Computer) department at work and I have been working them to get me a hot pink laptop. They do have my director convinced about the laptop just not the color! But then I really do not want to work from home, nor have work contact me.

John is snoring so I turned it. The X Files Movie is on..never knew they had one. I loved this show.

I don't want to speak too soon but the guy I am playing has Reggie Bush....and so far we are 0-0......now watch Rex have a game! My only decent RB is Willie Parker.
John is losing 9-0 but he has no one playing and his opponent only has the I kicker.

Amy is like John - she just lurks most of the time on the DIS.

I was pretty quiet in school and college - but changed after that. I get a lot of my communication needs here - I like to meet people with the same interests, and I am the talker instead of Amy. Now, once Amy gets to know someone . . . different story as you know V.

I have found it tough to have good friends here because:

1 - job gets in the way - I am the enforcer for the company, and when you think about it, most people have most friends from work.

2 - Don't drink much.

3 - Don't golf

4 - Love Disney (considered odd for a 47 year old by most I know)

5 - School board member - no one in the community wants to be your friend (in general, not always) unless they want to bend your ear, or want to grind thier axe.

6 - Technology Geek

7 - Undergrad in Art (what?)

8 - Homebody

9 - Tell people what is on my mind

and the last Letterman top 10 reason . . .

10 - have been married more than 20 years . . . almost everyone we know has been divorced at least once.

you know, I feel like a horrible mom....


my girls are trouble at times but usually so very sweet. Especially apart from one another.

I feel so bad, but I can't wait until we can all play games together and have fun. They are just a bit in between right now. Johnny and I ---- as my sis and mom - loves games!!! Especially during hurricane season when we usually lose power for a bit.

I have to win though!

Hi All...I'm home and I'm tired and exhausted...spent the day out with my brother and my legs feel like concrete right now. Will catch up with posting tomorrow, I'm not going to stay on long right now. Will tell you all about the lawyer tomorrow too and the update with the wound care center and the doctor.
