Well I think I'd like to change to the logo pjpoohbear is using! Sorry to whoever designed the original one, but hers DOES look better! Anyone with me? Only if it's o.k. with her of course!

BubbaGrump, I am flattered, extremely.

But the design was voted on by the thread for about three weeks back in March/April. I did have designs, which were very different, but Pirate Mickey won hands down (Designed by a DISer's daughter, who is a real artist). I will be using the one in your signature for any giveaway I may do on the ship.

John, do you see the difference between the two now that I brought it up? Can I use yours P.J.?

Your room too PJ . . .

Maybe I should explain this to newer people in our group before they start thinking strange things . . .

PJ became a great friend on our last cruise, and she is sharing a cabin with our family on this cruise - not just with "John". Believe me, I am not in that kind of demand.

John, it may be your name at the top of the ressie, but it is the whole family that makes this such a special trip.

Yeah, and I'm so dead set against ironing

Me too! I'm a wash and wear girl, I just make sure I get to the drier before it's done so that my stuff isn't all wrinkled....oh and the dry cleaners love us for our business. All of DH's shirts go to the cleaners. When we first got married I ironed his shirts and after a few weeks he went back to ironing them (I did a horrible job) and after a few years we started sending them to the cleaners...and never looked back!!! :rotfl:

Bubba, I only saved it as a single picture with my 2007 cruise logo, tink and the 2008 cruise, I could look at pulling it out, give me some time and I will see what can be done.:surfweb:

Just saw your post right before mine P.J.. I type VERY slow!:lmao: I forgot about the vote. I'll leave mine as it is , I guess! You do know I'm talking about the repo logo ,right?

Bubba you don't want to be a Champagne Girl? :confused3 :upsidedow

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Good idea for the explanation because some might start thinking that Amy is quite "modern" in her thinking...

Thanks for the pm pjpoohbear, but I don't want to step on any more toes as I got a warning on the regular forum today for voicing my opinion about a touchy subject!

Please all Repo DISer's read my tag <--, no way I would fit on the DCL sofa with anyone else, lol. :rotfl2:

John and Amy are like the brother and sister-in-law (I had put sister, but then thought better of it, ) I wish I had and Sophia is such a sweet honorary niece.

All clear, back to normal water-hole programming.

Alavro, I read your posting last year and can't wait to experience the crosing next year.

Ok, Guys has anyone see this custom shirt company, http://www.bluecotton.com/ I have been having a blast in the design studio. I did a design with the mickey head with a pirate ship inside, simple and cute, might pass. http://www.bluecotton.com/design.html?loaddesign=true&designcode=2186:624:532-57 , click on open. I wonder if it would pass, hmmm.......

Only issue is that the shirts would have to be ordered in a min of 6 units per order.

Love the Bluecotton shirts! We'd take 4.

I'm an anteater..........and so is Leslie (Gouodux)

Finally - starting with freshman year in 1987, the Anteaters have made it to the big stage and been successful. Sad, I guess that is 20 years now - ouch! Who's showing their age?

We turned the game on in the bottom of the 8th inning. Just amazing what they did. Hope they win against the stinkin Beavers. You know, Ducks and Beavers don't get along very well!

Go Anteaters (zot!)

Hi Jan, is the Radisson at the airport or near Port Canaveral? We're staying at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach. We have a suite with a private balcony that overlooks the ocean. We usually watch the ship come in and get all excited. I'm not certain of what other hotels are close to the Port. I know our tablemates are staying nearby and we plan to do dinner with them the night before we leave. You might want to get their opinion.

Lisa (LisaG520), if you're reading this....what hotel are you staying at again????
:rolleyes1 :goodvibes :rolleyes1
Do they provide transportation to the Port?
Are you up at 4 am to watch the ship come in?

Has Noel posted lately? I haven't seen one but might have missed it. Was wondering how she was doing with the surgery.

Did I post about Safariwest here in northern CA? All this animal talk has gotten me interested! We are going to go in July. www.safariwest.com. My parents are going on a real safari while we will be crossing the Canal.

You can see people on the decks on the webcam while it passes. I remember like it was yesterday getting up really early and watching the webcam. It was so exciting when Mickey suddenly became in view. I was like yelling to my DH and he was asleep. :rotfl:

PJ, love the shirts! You did a great job. Do we go on line and order ourselves? We have 6 in our family so we should be set!

I have my quarterly board meeting for work on Monday. It is always so stressful before trying to get everything to present. But then it is so nice when it is done! :woohoo:

Lisa, we are heading to Tahoe over 4th of July - thanks for the tips on the cruise! I think we will pass this time.

Anyone going to a Harry Potter party for the release? My son and I have the night all planned - 9pm-midnight at a bookstore. Should be fun! :wizard:

I had to learn how to iron right after I got married. When I was in my own apartment, and Amy would come over for the weekend, she used to do my ironing (work dress shirts) for me for the week.

Somehow after marriage, she lost this skill, and I have been ironing my own work shirts and pants every morning since. It must be some strange form of female amnesia yet to be explained by modern science.:confused3

Some of us were born with "Female Ironing Amnesia" (FIA from here on out!)

Didn't own an Iron, although my mom taught me how to Iron when I was younger, then she developed FIA. Bought a cordless Iron when I started quilting. Don't mine it so much when it's quilting...but anything else, severe FIA occurs!

Lisa,

Exactly the same in our house! I do GREAT laundry! That way... no ironing!! I am also great with a steamer and it's good for traveling too!

And our cleaners loves us too, same with DH's shirts! It's worth a buck and a half a shirt to me as he only wears nice dress shirts a couple time a month!

Haven't heard a word from Noel, I hope that she is doing alright.

We are huge Harry Potter fans, but we don't have any plans at this time, with me working ALL the time, I hope that we can fit the movie in on Sunday night! I'll be at Sam's club first thing in the morning of the book release date. They always have it and there are never any lines at 7:30 in the morning! Good price too!

Have a great time in Tahoe!
