I thought the ship of thieves logo we are using in our tags(?) was our "official" trip logo. If so , how come pjpoohbear has a slightly different one?:confused3

Because PJ is a whiz at graphics, etc and I bet she "tinkered" with hers a bit....

lisa, I could make it in photoshop and then anyone can use it at home. I don't know if this design would even pass on Blue Cotton, due to the Mickey head, but we could try. I know it would never pass at CafePress.
PJ-To be honest, I love the "professional" look your bluecotton version as opposed to iron-ons at home. They don't last and I've been known to mess up one or two.

PJ...those shirts look great! I agree Lisa, some of those ladies styles are really cute. I bet we could combine orders and make the 6 minimum pretty easily.
Kaylee-combining orders is a good idea. So many of us are meeting at Hyatt MCO before the trip that it might just be possible for a bulk order and then distribute at the hotel. I'd be happy to place the order (and I'll even wash the shirts so that arrive at MCO nice and clean)......

Wouldn't it be ok because it's a slightly different shape and proportion of ear size to head size as the real Mickey? Or do I just sound absolutely nuts? ;)
That's what I was thinking...(that it would be OK, not that you're absolutely nuts) :lmao:

Alavro, I read your posting last year and can't wait to experience the crosing next year.

Ok, Guys has anyone see this custom shirt company, http://www.bluecotton.com/ I have been having a blast in the design studio. I did a design with the mickey head with a pirate ship inside, simple and cute, might pass. http://www.bluecotton.com/design.html?loaddesign=true&designcode=2186:624:532-57 , click on open. I wonder if it would pass, hmmm.......

Only issue is that the shirts would have to be ordered in a min of 6 units per order.

PJ - that is SO COOL! I LOVE it! You can count on three shirts from us! It would be great to have the whole group in these shirts.

Are you sure you are not missing a calling in graphic design?

Bubba,

Our logo on our tags would NEVER pass through any professional shop without Disney authorization. We could do iron ons, and Disney may not fuss much, but no professional shop would print our logo in our sigs.

BTW . . .

Also agree with Lisa . . .

HATE the iron-ons. They don't last, and can end up looking pretty bad after just a wash or two. I always mess them up too. I can barely iron my shirt each day for work - the iron ons are too much pressure!

Hey John! How ya doin'? I totally understand the copyright thing. That's not what I was wondering about though. I'm just refering to what we have at the bottom of our posts, as hers is different than what the rest of us are using.:confused3 And to be quite honest, I think hers looks better! I also think we should all use the same one, whether it be hers or the one we're using now, don't you?

Hi Bubba - doing fine. Watching the College World Series - Arizona State and UC Urvine tied in the 10th 7-7. Anteaters and Devils. Great Game.

I did not notice the difference in PJ's logo. My guess is she modified it to more closely match the logo for her October Cruise. Our PJ is a bit of a perfectionist.

Am I right PJ?

Yeah, and I'm so dead set against ironing, I don't even own an iron! :rotfl: My first time ironing in my LIFE was in January on a cruise. And that's only because the iron in the laundry room was already on and warmed up, the shirt I wanted to wear to dinner came out of the dryer all crinkled up, so I had to try to figure out how to iron. Didn't work so well, but at least I didn't look like a piece of paper somebody wadded up and threw away. :lmao: And I hope to never have to attempt to iron again.

I had to learn how to iron right after I got married. When I was in my own apartment, and Amy would come over for the weekend, she used to do my ironing (work dress shirts) for me for the week.

Somehow after marriage, she lost this skill, and I have been ironing my own work shirts and pants every morning since. It must be some strange form of female amnesia yet to be explained by modern science.:confused3

I'm with you Holly....Iron:confused3 what is that?:lmao: Pretty impressive though for a first time "ironer" to not have any burn marks! That would be what mine looked like:rotfl2:

Oh, the map logo is the true official logo of the Theives! But we could never get a commercial shirt company to make a shirt up with it as Mickey Mouse in all his pirate glory is featured. We can make up shirts with home transfer sheets and I know that there is a file with the logo is a good size for doing this.

Some disers have expressed that they have no skill at home transfers and we have been looking at commercial shirt makers to do the work as well. We are looking at CafePress and today I found this new company, Blue Cotton, that has a very cool designing program on their site.

Well I think I'd like to change to the logo pjpoohbear is using! Sorry to whoever designed the original one, but hers DOES look better! Anyone with me? Only if it's o.k. with her of course!

I am thinking of doing mini door magnets for each family with the pirate logo and will be using it in a door sign for John's room. I love our pirate Mickey, but I suck at home iron-ons:upsidedow .

Just for Holly . . .

Anteaters WIN . . .

Night all - time for bed.

nope, well kind of .... but it was simply I couldn't shrink the orginal logo to a small enough size that was readable and a small enough file to fit the signature rules, I even received an infraction for the old one, :sad2: Bad Penny!

Your room too PJ . . .

Maybe I should explain this to newer people in our group before they start thinking strange things . . .

PJ became a great friend on our last cruise, and she is sharing a cabin with our family on this cruise - not just with "John". Believe me, I am not in that kind of demand.
