Eddie Bauer www.eddiebauer.com and Coldwater Creek www.coldwatercreek.com carry most items in petite. Their Petite XL fits me pretty well!

Karen

I have purchased quite a bit of Eddie and Coldwater. I have even purchased capri's from EB. (I'm only 5'0"). And they were ok. Took them on the last cruise and one of the pairs was a bit too tight at the time, but I'm wearing them now.

One of my favorite jackets is from Coldwater Creek.

Thanks, but it's just the start of a cold. Really nothing earth shattering. But I can tell he's really sleepy from it already. Since we go on vacation in 4 days, I'm hoping either it never develops into a full blown cold or runs its course quickly and is almost done by Saturday afternoon when we start vacation.

DD has been home sick all day. I hope that she will be feeling better by tomorrow. Scratchy throat, fever, stuffy nose.

I hate it when she's sick...

Did I mention (gloating...) that we got Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's during our stay in November?

So excited!!!

Karen

Jackie tell Karen about the saga about Victoria and Alberts...

Karen - way to go, we were ALMOST there last year. Went to Boma instead. Long story.

Well today my angel graduated from preschool!!! Hard to believe. It was so cute to see him so proud of himself!

Here he is with his two teachers:

Congratulations on your son's latest accomplishment!

From the looks of the picture, one of his classmates must have been absent the day they taught "left" and "right."

I don't think the MIL is the problem other than she tries to keep the FIL happy. LoL. He and SIL are the complainers. So poor MIL gets stuck making the plans in the hopes that FIL won't complain. I gave up on this years ago.

We are doing the Segway tour on November 24th. We will be in Disney from Nov 21st to Dec 2nd. Very excited to see all the christmas decorations.

Kim,

We will be there from November 17th to the 23rd!

Maybe a mini DIS meet!!

Karen

I bet it was indeed!!!! Can't wait to hopefully have that experience myself! Thanks for sharing the photos!

John's photos are great. The sound was amazing too. I think this is something I will never forget.

Cherie:

Welcome home. Did you feel that you got a good amount of time on each of the islands? My sister lives on Oahu and we always thought it would be fun to do a Hawaiian cruise one time with her and the family. Our friends will only cruise NCL because of their freestyle dining and love it.

The itinerary was we left Honolulu at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Kauai from Mon. morning overnight until 12:30 Tues., Hilo on Wed., Kona on Thurs., Maui Fri. morning until 9:30 Sat. night, disembark in Honolulu Sunday a.m.

My friend and I planned this as primarily a way to scuba dive in Hawaii so 3 of our 5 1/2 days in port were taken up by that. We rented a car on the other days and I felt like we got to see quite a bit. We had 5 hours on Kauai to drive around, a whole day at Hilo and a whole day on Maui. I felt like I got a good overview of every port and now have an idea of where I'd like to go back to and what I'd like to spend more time seeing. (This was essentially my first trip to Hawaii BTW). Also re: car rental, we picked up 2 of our our rental cars the night before (Kauai and Maui) as was suggested by the travel & shopping consultant on the ship. She told us where we could park for the night. It made it much nicer to have the car first thing in the morning and just take off!

I would consider doing the trip again and not scuba diving, just to have more time to sight-see. I thought the ship was fine, pretty w/tropical decor. Our stateroom was fine, also. We had the cheapest cabin, an inside, it was roomy enough although a little tight when all the diving gear was laid out to dry! Really didn't spend much time on the ship at all, only went to one show, mostly in the evening we were tired, ate and went to bed.

The only thing I thought was not good was the food--and I mean NOT good. If I went again I would skip the dining rooms entirely and go to the buffet for all meals. The buffet was OK cafeteria-style food; I just thought of it as fuel. HOWEVER--they had REAL hand-dipped ice cream, which was delicious, and good coffee, both of which I quite enjoyed!

We went to the dining room 4 times--3 of the times the service was extremely slow and the food not good. One time the service was OK and the food not bad--unfortunately they both didn't occur on the same night!

Re: the "freestyle" concept--the first night we were going to try the dining room the wait was 90 minutes! (we didn't stay) The next night we went at 5:30 and were seated right away but waited so long for our food that we left before we got dessert--we were just tired of waiting and decided to go get ice cream. The other nights we went to the dining room about 9-9:30 and again were seated pretty quickly. Never went again at "normal" dinner time. The one morning we went to the dining room for breakfast (because the buffet lines were 20-30 minutes) we waited about 20 min. to be seated. Food was nothing special so we went back to the buffet after that.

On my Disney cruises I've always had late seating so never felt rushed to get to dinner, plus it suited my internal clock as I come from AZ so I'm 3 hours behind eastern time--eating at 9 p.m. is like 6 p.m. for me. Personally, I'd rather have a set dining time and know I'll be seated without a wait--but that's just me.

Summing up and to answer your question: yes, I felt it was a great way to see several islands, there was quite a bit of time to sight-see and I'd do it again.

Oh man...I could have had a pretzel dog two weeks ago? Bummer.....
Think maybe I'll go on line and see if I'm missing an Auntie Anne's closer to home!

Auntie Anne's is a pretzel shop and they make hot dogs wrapped in pretzel dough...the dough kind of spirals around the hot dog. Sooooo yummmmy, especially when dipped in hot cheese!

HEY ALL YOU DECEMBER WDW VISITORS.....it's bout Advanced Dining Reservation time! The 180 day window hits today for 12/2 arrivals (however, they didn't have the w/o 12/3 'loaded' into this system this morning, so I couldn't make mine yet). Remember it's Mousefest that week, so lots of knowledgable WDW fans will be booking their stuff 180 days out!

Thanks Jackie....they sound delicious....now I know what I've been missing.

:flower3: :thumbsup2 :flower3:

I need to make reservations yet - should do that tonight. But we are planning on the Radisson. We have stayed ther before and liked it.

Right, the Radisson. That's in Port Canaveral Right? Lucy (lwilliam) recommended we go to dinner somewhere on the water....I think the name of the place is Gays??? It's in Port Canaveral with great views to the ships, I think she said.

Lucy, help me out here, what was the name of that restaurant you recommended?

Yep - count me in the reality tv junkie club! I can't wait for Big Brother!! though how it could top last summers all stars I don't know.

Oh, me too!!!! I don't see how it can top last summer's either, but Julie's commercial says there are more surprises in store. So I can't wait....sometime in July.

You know, next year we're going to miss all the season finales. Gotta get those tivos going, but three weeks is a lot of recording...I hope nothing gets erased to make more room.
:cool2: :confused3 :cool2:

We are probably the only people left without a TIVO or DVR. I'm hoping for the Lost finale on the Dumbotron!!

Jackie, do you know there is an Atlantis shuttle launch planned for the 6th Dec - at 4.30pm? If it goes ahead you will have the best view from onboard!

Now I'm jealous....John and I almost saw it launch once...we were in Orlando on a scheduled launch date....we got up at about 4:00am and traveled to Titusville and staked out our spot.....then it was cancelled and rescheduled for a date after we returned home. Still waiting to catch it go off.
:guilty: :sad2: :guilty:

Grumpy John, you had me worried then!!! It looks like you are saying you are cancelling your reservation!!

NO WAY we're cancelling....we will NOT miss this cruise....we WILL be somewhere on this boat.
:dance3:  :dance3:

If you click on the quote button below the post you are quoting, the quoted post comes up in a box.

It makes me sad too when I see others that have to cancel. Just when you start getting to know someone, you miss not being able to meet them.:sad1: :sad2: :sad1:
