Oh my goodness, I completely forgot about those! Okee dokee. I won't be home for another 3 hours, but will let you know either way, after Tyler's in bed and I'm able to get back on here.

Hi Everyone--
I'm sitting in the airport in Honolulu, first time online in a week. I've been wondering what's been going on on our thread--I think I'm about 100 pages behind at this point but sooner or later I'll get caught up!

My flight has been delayed so I'll have to spend the night in LA tonight and fly home to AZ tomorrow.

My trip was great! I love Hawaii and can't wait to go back. I took underwater pix for the first time and they turned out pretty good; I'll post some in a few days. The NCL ship itself was OK, actually it was fine, but the food in the dining rooms was horrible! And the service was slow, slow, slow. Ick! The buffets were OK, they were like any cafeteria food so it did the job of keeping the tummy full but it was NOT like Disney. We didn't try any of the "extra cost" restaurants so I can't comment there. The staff of the ship were all very friendly (more than I was expecting). A major part of the ship had no AC the whole cruise--fortunately not our section! There were a LOT of very angry people as you can imagine. And as far as I know, it wasn't fixed when we disembarked today so some people are in for a very unplesant surprise when they board today!

All in all I had a great time--I'll post more later but just wanted to say "hi" and I've missed everyone.

Aloha!

Cherie:

Welcome home. Did you feel that you got a good amount of time on each of the islands? My sister lives on Oahu and we always thought it would be fun to do a Hawaiian cruise one time with her and the family. Our friends will only cruise NCL because of their freestyle dining and love it.

Bobby will be the new Rick Steves. As soon as we get back from the beach, Bobby begins his travels.

Bobby can certainly come to the PNW if he wants!

Whew, I can´t believe we are at more than 18000 posts, definetly we have some cruisers with a lot of time in their hands :rotfl2:

I have lost all hope of catching up, so I won´t mess the board this time with replies to old posts :rotfl:

Hope everyone had a great Memorial weekend (that is not a holiday here) and enjoyed their long weekend.

DD and I were at WDW last month with friends and had the best time.

We are going back from september 27th until october 6th. Anyone planning to attend MNSSHP on october 4th?

WELCOME BACK Julie!!! :cool1: As others said....we missed you! Glad to hear you had a great time on your trip in May.

Thank you! We have spent the last few days driving back and forth and hour to the naval hospital (it is our choice to keep her there though, we could go to a doctor closer to home but we love the doctors there). Next step is asking for blood to be drawn. She is not getting any better, even with a hugh dose of antibiotics that they gave her through a shot on Friday. My DD's (turning 6 and 2) birthday's are on the 13th. My goal is to get her better by then. Then on the 21st the 2 year is having surgery and they won't do the surgery till she gets better.
Are there any other lists forming for transportation from the Hyatt to the Port. We would def be interested in something like that. We ddi Disney transportation last time. It was fine but we are always looking for somethign new. :)

Hope your little one gets better soon. Nothing worse than a sick baby:sad2:

As for the transportation...the hummers are full at the moment. You could PM if you wanted onto a cancellation list or there were some other people out there who were considering other limo type transportations.

Yes, they are both on the 13th! We were at Chuck E Cheese in Murrieta for Brooklyn when Madison decided it was her turn to come to. Madison was actually born 2 months premature. We had no idea she was coming that day. So whenever you are driving around town and you see a blue Nissan Quest with the licence plate "13 June" that is me!

What a story for the baby book AND the birthday book!! WOW My DD was due on the 13th but hung out until the 16th :lmao:

You just triggered my memory. When I was living in England, my host family always had these little square "cakish" things with different color frosting on them. I swear that was one of the only things I ate when I was there as my host mom was not a good cook. Are those the battenberg cakes or do they sound like something else? Any ideas Marilyn?

afternoon all...well we went in this morning to have Samantha's ear checked and while the infection is gone, the hole is quite large so we have an appt with an ENT on Thursday. I feel so badly for her. Luckily the ENT doc is the one who did her tubes several years ago.

She still cannot get any water near or in it! That's tough in itself.

I am glad today is almost over.

V...hope it all goes well and the ear heals quickly!

Holly: congrats on the weight loss

Verandah or not...I really can't comment on the not side of things, but we loved ours and used it frequently. In fact I sat on it the last morning docking at Port Canaveral whimpering:sad1:while my the family was still asleep. Scott and I often headed there for some down time before we picked the kids up from the clubs after dinner or dancing or something. It was nice to have and we went with one again for this trip. Sometime I am sure we will go without and it will be just fine too.

Battenberg has always a creamy coloured coating. You could mean these.

It could have been those as I remember pink, white and brown being the color choices...but I thought they were more cake like in the middle. Either way, they were really good and as soon as they would buy some, I would eat the whole thing. I think I sustained myself on those and Wimpy's FF. I came home so thin it worried my mom....boy those were the days, huh?!:lmao:

This week I'm in search of an outlet store for Le Crueset!!! I don't want to have to drive all the way back to Palm Springs - but if I have too... I might do that later in the month and hit DL for a couple of days. We'll see.:wizard:

I don't think you have to go back to Cabazon, check Anthem. I think they have a store there and that's where I got my blue teapot.... I do love a good trip to Cabazon, tho!!!! My husband, on the other hand, not so much.......

We are looking for a few opinions for our Western cruise in October.

The day/night before we are going to stay at the Nick Hotel (we have 10 children in our travel party - they win on this one!).

After the cruise, we only have one day before we have to head home and are going to go to an undetermined park (most likely MK). Or, is there a large opinion on a different park? We've been to all twice. Our girls will be 7 and 5 years old at the time. Anyway, what are all your thoughts?

On our two previous visits to WDW we have stayed at BCV. In September the girls went to the Princess tea at the GF and loved the hotel. So, we are thinking of staying that one night there. However, if you had just one night, we were wondering what resort you all might think is the best choice for our two young girls? We are also just tempted to stay back at BCV because we enjoy it so much. But, we not try something new? Also, if we are just going to go to MK, why not GF? Any thoughts? Thinking out loud here.

Almost cought up.

Have you seen the rooms at GF. They are Victorian and IMHO very, very busy with flowers all over the place. The resort is beautiful but I am not sure I could sleep in the rooms. :confused3 If you want to be close to the MK I love the WL and it is great for kids. It has a boat that goes to the MK as well as buses.

Hey everyone - Lisa said I should post here since I've been absent a lot so I told her I'd check in once a week. Sorry - gearing up for my upcoming cruise and things are  here.

Lisa / Disneylover5 are on the same cruise so she inspired me to come here and say hi so I am -

Sorry if I interupted - just got a crazy whim. I'll check back later tonight - when I have more time.

We also booked a Segway tour at Epcot. Any of you ever done that? It looks like most of the tour will be folks from our group, so that should make it extra fun!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Are you doing the 2 hour one? DH and I did it a year and half ago and loved it. We will do it again. The first hour they give you lessons and let you get used to it and then the second hour they take you out and let you ride around World Showcase. It was a blast. DH even came home and priced them on Ebay. Would definately buy one if I lived in NYC or Chicago or some other big city where driving is a hassle.

Yep, we're doing the two hour. Can't wait as the whole group will most likely be folks from our Nov. double dip! (did I say that already??)

Carol, let us know when you are ready to do a new batch of FISH EXTENDERS, I think TiggersPal wants on the list, and maybe some new folks will too!

Finally, I am all caught up. At least until the next time I have to take a few days away from you all. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Jackie, I hope I can start again in August. We are getting our cottage at the lake ready for a family gathering the weekend of the 16th and then we leave for SD on the 19th to see our new DGD. I am moving my Disney/sewing/hobby room into another room so will spend July (hopefully) painting it. Kind of excited about doing it because I am doing it in Mickey colors, etc. If it turns out as neat as I am hoping I will post some pictures when it is done.

Anyway, if anyone wants to PM me I will start another list as long as they understand they won't go out until around August.

Carol

it's Monday....is Taco Bell a bad way to start the week?

oh well, DH is off getting dinner there, we are all wiped out and have no get up and go. I hope this week gets better....

Spicy chicken crunchwrap was dinner for us tonight!

Well, I had two packages from AZ waiting for me at home, but no Crocs. :sad1:

Such crazy weather! It's been storming and cooler since Saturday morning. Tomorrow it's not supposed to get above 62F and only 45F tomorrow night. But Thursday it's supposed to be 90! BUT....all of this craziness is WAY better than snow!

We were bad tonight. We had to go to the grocery store right when I picked Tyler up after work and class, but he was too hungry to wait to have dinner until after grocery shopping, so we stopped at McDonalds. Blech! I hadn't had fast food in so long, my stomach really protested afterwards! Tomorrow we have to go straight from work & day care to his tumbling class, then straight from there to a show we have tickets for (Go Diego Go--The Great Jaguar Rescue), so we'll have to have dinner out again. Subway sounds yummy and we both love that! :goodvibes Much better on my stomach too.
