You will have to teach us SkipBo! We haven't spent much time in Cove Cafe...I think we will plan on visiting when all the kids are in the club. I wonder how many hours of babysitting we can pre-book for 15 days...does anyone know? Is it more than the standard 7 day cruise? Lisa

It is a very easy game to learn. We would be happy to have a game or three with you at Cove Cafe along with a yummy cup of java.:)

Deck 4.....Aaahhhhhh......my favorite part of the ship! I dream about sitting in one of those deck chairs and watching the water go by! Can't wait!

I've tried watching the sea go by on deck 4 several times.....my problem is that I CANNOT stay awake when I get in those chairs. I've taken naps there. ;)

I have spent the final night out there, on a deck 4 lounge-chair, I think until about 2 am. I had issues with the inside room and crossing the gulf stream back to PC. Then I spent formal night out there on my last cruise, missed Golden Mickey's, I hope it is still around on my October cruise.

I try to nap there, but just as I drift off, that darned pager beeps at me and I have to pick Tyler up from the club. ;)

And with thoughts of deck 4, I think I'll head to bed now. Still wide awake, probably from the 8 packets of Smarties I ate. Yup, 8. They're my weakness. I very rarely buy them because I can't stop. I eat them until I start getting a headache from the sugar rush. Blech! But I've been doing so well with my eating, one day screwing up won't kill me. I'm thrilled that for the first time in almost 5 years, I finally broke below the 200 pound mark! :woohoo: I was 210 when I went for my "female checkup" in March, but when I went to my regular doc to renew my migraine med 3 days ago I was 199. Not a huge loss, but I was THRILLED to not see that 2 at the beginning of the number! :yay: And I'm sure that number will keep going down! :cheer2:

So anyway, back to thoughts of deck 4. If I lie in bed, close my eyes, and pretend I'm on the Magic, in a comfy chair on deck 4, listening to the water splash on the side of the ship, I'm sure I'll drift peacefully off to Disney dreamland! :cloud9: Goodnight all!

Interesting all this talk of airports . . .

In November, I can get a $270 round trip to SNA from CAK.

Anyone have any experience with Frontier? They started flying out of our local airport about a year or two ago - two flights daily into their hub in Denver.

We were bumped from a United flight (did I mention that we will never fly with them again!) and were on Frontier from Denver to SFO. It was a very good flight and we have no complaints about the airplane or the service! I would fly them again, but they are not really available in the areas that we usually fly in.

Smarties, love 'em...we should split the bag then we'd only be half as sick :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I wonder if  Bobbi would like to travel around the country visiting the DIS Thread members before the Panama Canal Cruise.

Each host or hostess could take a few photos of him exploring sites of interest in each locale before arranging transportation for him to another host or hostess.

The photos could be added to a TRIP REPORT thread (except that I have no idea how to post pictures so someone would have to help me with that part.)

I would be glad to give him a tour of Indianapolis if he would like to visit.

Jan,

Great idea! We're up for showing Bobbi around the EAST BAY!!

Congratulations Holly!!! That is a wonderful achievement! You should be very, very proud!!

I would love to have lost some weight like that!! With all of this late night work at our new shop, we have been eating later than I like and with my ultra-slow metabolism, I am NOT losing any weight, even with all of the extra hard work that we are putting in!!

Karen

Karen: I'd say we'd have to make Bobby transport the reason for us to meet! :cool1:  :cool1:

WooHoo, great idea! We can have him at the mini-DIS meet at our wine shop and take pictures of him with all of us DISers at the shop (with wine of course!)

Karen

OCPD I love it!!

We have friends who are missionaries and they call it a "spiritual gift." I told them it is not on the lists in the Bible. They said it is too, the children of Israel had to pack up and move out whenever the cloud of God lifted from the tabernacle.
Jan :earsgirl:

I've just finished reading that the other day! We wouldn't have been any good would we? Not with all our packing!!!:rotfl:

I am sorry but I know I missed a post of someone who wanted to join me on the May 12th Fish Mail gift. I have a very sick 2 year old at home and now I can't seem to find that post.

Can you please PM me so we can get in touch?

Sorry again, but this grumpy baby is taking everything out of me. :rotfl:

So sorry you have a poorly child. Hope he/she is much better today.

I've tried watching the sea go by on deck 4 several times.....my problem is that I CANNOT stay awake when I get in those chairs. I've taken naps there. ;)

Better not let John on those chairs or he will be there the entire cruise!! Snoring too!

I try to nap there, but just as I drift off, that darned pager beeps at me and I have to pick Tyler up from the club. ;)

What are mothers for?:lmao:

Well done Holly on the weight loss. It is very hard know and that major milestone should encourage you. Well, apart from the 8 packets of Smarties! :rotfl: I have certain foods/snacks,sweets, that I can just eat and eat. Jaffa Cakes, Jammie dodgers, Battenburg cake.......and more. I don't suppose you know what they are though. If I buy a packet and actually open them well.

HELLO Julie. Lovely to see you again..

Not this time for you!:thumbsup2
I just can't wait to do all the things I've wanted to do, but couldn't with Tyler there. Not easy traveling alone with a little one. This will be a totally differerent cruise for me! :goodvibes

You're right...I have no idea what any of those goodies are, but I'm sure they're wonderful! :goodvibes

So, have you ever heard of a 5-yr old with OCPD? :scared1: I learned last night that Tyler has a serious case. :lmao: He packed his suitcase for Saturday, and then started packing mine! :rotfl: He told me all the things I need to remember to pack and some things we need to buy to take with us. Good grief! He sure doesn't get that from me. I throw everything in a suitcase the night before, knowing that if I forget something, it wasn't that important to me, or I can buy it wherever we're going. No stress that way. :goodvibes Crazy kid!

Well, based upon both of your comments, we may have to give it a try sometime then...although I'll try it on a 7 day just to be sure!

Good thinking! Also another great place on the ship is the "secret" deck 7. There is never anyone out on that deck! It is on the aft side and I hardly saw anyone out there our last cruise.

We've never flown them so it's good to hear they're reputable! Right now they have the best fare from LAX to MCO, so if that holds until they release May '08 dates, then this is great news to hear that you like them! :thumbsup2

I def think that rates willl go cheaper. The Delta flight from LAX to MCO was great. It left around noon, non stop to MCO and we arrived at the Hyatt by 7. We loved it! We also got it for a great price at the last minute through Disney.

Stephanie-hope she feels better soon! PM me if you need anything, run to the grocery store, whatever...since we're so close I really wouldn't mind! Pixie dust your way!!! :wizard:

Thank you! We have spent the last few days driving back and forth and hour to the naval hospital (it is our choice to keep her there though, we could go to a doctor closer to home but we love the doctors there). Next step is asking for blood to be drawn. She is not getting any better, even with a hugh dose of antibiotics that they gave her through a shot on Friday. My DD's (turning 6 and 2) birthday's are on the 13th. My goal is to get her better by then. Then on the 21st the 2 year is having surgery and they won't do the surgery till she gets better.

Today after church we went to the $300 store, which was jam packed with people. DH looked at me asking...do you do this often, are there this many people here when you normally come?!? I explained, no and that's why I go during the week. Anyway, they had this homedics massager pad that you put on a chair. He sat in it, then I sat in it and that was it....we bought the darn thing. He usually is not the spender but he figured for $100 and how good it felt, he was in! And, every now and again my back pain flares up (my injury from our car accident) so this will be great. I felt like a million bucks after I got out of that chair. In fact....I'm off for a massage! :rotfl:

My husband protests that store on the weekends! :rotfl:

That would be TiggersPal....unless she was assigned to one of the existing groups....I kind of lost track.

Who was organizing the Hummerzines list from MCO/Haytt? Couldn't find that on Ship of Thieves or our protected site....off to see if it's on page one here......

Ok thank you!

Are there any other lists forming for transportation from the Hyatt to the Port. We would def be interested in something like that. We ddi Disney transportation last time. It was fine but we are always looking for somethign new. :)

Good for you on the weight loss! We really need to get serious about that at our house!

Wow-that's worrisome that they can't get her better. Like I said, pixie dust your way!!! :wizard:

So, BOTH your girl's birthdays are on the 13th? How'd ya plan that one! :rotfl:
