Wow-that's worrisome that they can't get her better. Like I said, pixie dust your way!!! :wizard:

So, BOTH your girl's birthdays are on the 13th? How'd ya plan that one! :rotfl:

Yes, they are both on the 13th! We were at Chuck E Cheese in Murrieta for Brooklyn when Madison decided it was her turn to come to. Madison was actually born 2 months premature. We had no idea she was coming that day. So whenever you are driving around town and you see a blue Nissan Quest with the licence plate "13 June" that is me!

So, have you ever heard of a 5-yr old with OCPD? :scared1: I learned last night that Tyler has a serious case. :lmao: He packed his suitcase for Saturday, and then started packing mine! :rotfl: He told me all the things I need to remember to pack and some things we need to buy to take with us. Good grief! He sure doesn't get that from me. I throw everything in a suitcase the night before, knowing that if I forget something, it wasn't that important to me, or I can buy it wherever we're going. No stress that way. :goodvibes Crazy kid!

:lmao: Good one Tyler!!

Thank you! We have spent the last few days driving back and forth and hour to the naval hospital (it is our choice to keep her there though, we could go to a doctor closer to home but we love the doctors there). Next step is asking for blood to be drawn. She is not getting any better, even with a hugh dose of antibiotics that they gave her through a shot on Friday. My DD's (turning 6 and 2) birthday's are on the 13th. My goal is to get her better by then. Then on the 21st the 2 year is having surgery and they won't do the surgery till she gets better.

Oh the poor little thing. :sad2: I hope she soon responds to treatment.

The outside layer is thin marzipan. Not sure what you would call it. It is ground almonds, sugar and egg. I think on these cakes though there there may be more artificial ingredients.

I would ask the same question, only I wouldn't get there in time for dinner. How lucky for you Jackie....listening to Peg talk about all those recipes.:thumbsup2 :rotfl: :thumbsup2

Sorry ladies - but I was at OCEAN CLUB for dinner that night. No fixing dinner - even for my DH! He actually went out with the couple next door. I still cannot get over the $32 MASHED POTATOES!!!! Yep, lobster mashed taters. THANK GOD - I was being blessed and didn't have to pay. Had I realized my dear darling PAL was spending that kind of money I would have suggested somethin else! But the sea bass was DELICIOUS - so was the Lobster Bisque which is now my new challenge (who has the best...) So far Ocean Club wins. Skye (west side Phoenix) is next!

This week I'm in search of an outlet store for Le Crueset!!! I don't want to have to drive all the way back to Palm Springs - but if I have too... I might do that later in the month and hit DL for a couple of days. We'll see.:wizard:

Yes, I've determined I can live without the verandah, but I'm not so sure I can live without the window......I have to have a lock on where I am and what time of day it is!

Boy can I relate - I need to be able to "see the horizon"! Although currently we are on deck 1 - does that mean I'll be under water?

JUST KIDDING!

Fortunately we both love Disney and DCL more than anything else in the world. So every weekend morning over coffee when we have time to catch up with each other, that's our favorite topic.

My DH John is a very independent man, he does his own laundry and I do mine, he packs his stuff and I do mine. It just works out well for us. The kids are grown and out of the house so it's just the two of us. He takes care of him and I take care of me and everything gets done and it's easy.

We're both so excited about our cruises that we talk and plan every detail well in advance. By the time we get on the ship, it's our aaahhhhh moment, we're here and we're ready to just kick back and enjoy.:cool2: :woohoo: :cool2:

Does he give classes to other DH's???? I'd be VERY interesting in signing mine up!popcorn::

We use to have tropical fish as well as a pond with Koi. I loved having Koi, although I had a terrible time trying to keep them alive. Raccoons, disease, water ph level. Awful. It would go great for awhile and then yikes. We have a built in pond in our current home outside and I have yet to get it started. I'm so nervous of keeping them alive! I would like to get an aquarium for inside. But again...nervous about keeping them alive. I'd love to have salt-water fish. Lisa

We built a beautiful Koi pond for my friends new home in South Hampton L. I. some years back (water fall, pond, bridge and Zen garden) got the water right, filters all set and in went the Fish two days later we couldn't find any Koi. we couldn't figure out what happened. Well we put in new Koi and as we sat on the back deck and popped a bottle of wine to finish the day, here comes a falcon over the pond and snap one free meal.....took him less than a day to clean them all out :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :headache: :headache:

Hi Everyone--
I'm sitting in the airport in Honolulu, first time online in a week. I've been wondering what's been going on on our thread--I think I'm about 100 pages behind at this point but sooner or later I'll get caught up!

My flight has been delayed so I'll have to spend the night in LA tonight and fly home to AZ tomorrow.

My trip was great! I love Hawaii and can't wait to go back. I took underwater pix for the first time and they turned out pretty good; I'll post some in a few days. The NCL ship itself was OK, actually it was fine, but the food in the dining rooms was horrible! And the service was slow, slow, slow. Ick! The buffets were OK, they were like any cafeteria food so it did the job of keeping the tummy full but it was NOT like Disney. We didn't try any of the "extra cost" restaurants so I can't comment there. The staff of the ship were all very friendly (more than I was expecting). A major part of the ship had no AC the whole cruise--fortunately not our section! There were a LOT of very angry people as you can imagine. And as far as I know, it wasn't fixed when we disembarked today so some people are in for a very unplesant surprise when they board today!

All in all I had a great time--I'll post more later but just wanted to say "hi" and I've missed everyone.

Aloha!

Thanks for posting Cheri - can't wait to hook up with you and see all the photos and hear all your stories!

This new series is very good and the new companion excellent. I think we couldn't believe any new companion would really replace Rose, bur this one does.

With working on our cottage and my cousin's high school graduation party I am having a terrible time keeping up with you guys. I am hoping to get caught up in the next couple of days.

Marilyn, glad to hear the new series is very good. Like you, I was very disappointed when Rose left and didn't think anyone could replace her. Glad to here the new companion is good. Will be looking forward to it starting here.

afternoon all...well we went in this morning to have Samantha's ear checked and while the infection is gone, the hole is quite large so we have an appt with an ENT on Thursday. I feel so badly for her. Luckily the ENT doc is the one who did her tubes several years ago.

She still cannot get any water near or in it! That's tough in itself.

I am glad today is almost over.

Oh, it is awful when one of your children is ill. Gladthe infection has gone now. All the best at the ENT appointment.

Too true! I almost went out and bought some after I posted the pics!:lmao:

This is unbelievable! Guess she REALLY wanted to see Chuck E. What are the chances?!? So do you just do one big party for both?

Okay, so if you see this woman flagging you down in a silver Volvo station wagon, know it's not a wacko, it's just Lisa making her introduction!!! Because you know we'll run into each other before we actually make an formal meeting date. For as big of a town we are, we're very small at the same time because EVERY time I leave my house I run into someone I know...no chance of sneaking around looking like a slob.
