I'M FINISHED!!!! I just finished booking my last ressies for this cruise. What a great feeling. I reserved my car rental in LA and I booked and paid for my hotel in Vegas. I'm done! The only thing left to do is reserve car service to the Port in FL and car service from the port in LA. I'll wait until Jan or Feb to do that.

:cheer2: How exciting Deb! Wish I could be as decisive as you.I've booked my flight to MCO but haven't decided on which resort to book for my 2 nights at WDW.I keep going to book my flight home from LAX but then keep changing my mind. When I looked at fares last Feb for May, they were $100.00 cheaper, so I think of waiting...then I look at some of the times offered and length of flights with connections and all, and think it might be worth the extra cost to get a time and flight I want.Yep, wish I could be as decisive as you:rolleyes:

When do you want to come????;)

Are you thinking weekend? If so, I've got stuff going on until Aug. 11. During the week I'm more open--

It was in the low 80's today...:cloud9:

Yeah the weekend, and that timing would be great since we'll be heading out to CA for vacation soon, and I have to get ready. Do you want to pencil in the following weekend 8/18???? Let's talk soon! :wizard:

Hi all! I wanted to drop a note to:

FOURMCDS - Beautiful house, you must be very happy and excited - even though moving can be a pain - what a great place! Congrats and best wishes to you!

GOUODUX - I'm very sorry to hear about your precious one, breaking her arm - but I can attest that a broken arm once set and cast is quite a BIG deal for a child. Lots of extra attention and I don't remember the pain nearly as much as how much fun it was to have my peers sign the cast!:wizard: to you because being a parent of an active little one is harder on you! :thumbsup2

HOLLY - I missed seeing which type of massage you chose and if you enjoyed it! I had a hot rock last weekend and just LOVE them, what a great way to treat yourself, and even better when it's FREE!

I plan on doing something nice for myself at each goal I hit (weight loss) - so far so good! I started kickboxing last night - just LOVE it, but the old knees are screaming today. So I'm going to have to ease into a schedule of that - and increase the swimming to get more pounds off.

WISH ME LUCK!

My massage was just a chair massage--neck, shoulders, upper back. That's what they were offering for free. :thumbsup2 Then I headed to the library for 4 hours, tried to study before my 6pm class, and dozed off for 10 minutes, 3 different times. I guess that massage relaxed me too much! :rotfl:

Congrats on your weight loss and starting kickboxing! Keep up the good work! I desperately need to try to find time to do some sort of exercise. No time with final exams approaching. :scared1: Might go workout tomorrow before seeing Wicked and then again on Sunday because Tyler will be gone extra long this weekend on a camping trip with his dad. Free time for mom! Usually when he's gone, I have to do major cleaning or laundry, but we cleaned the whole house together earlier this week, and the laundry is done, so I get to have "me time". :cloud9: A true rarity!

Now.....off to download a weight loss ticker like some of you other folks have. Such great motivation!

 Well, I HOPE on 8/18 you'll be at my house feeding my cat....cause I'll be in Breckenridge that weekend, sister! Looks like we need to sit down with our calendars. :rotfl2:

Aloha,

I got a new computer and forgot to record the discussion board link. Could someone please forward it to me.

Have a great weekend,

Aloha!

Sorry, I don't know it, but I'm sure somebody else will get it to you very quickly. :thumbsup2

Have a great Friday everybody! I'm headed out for some heavy duty partying to make up for being stuck sitting in class for FOUR HOURS. Look out men of Lansing, Holly's on the prowl, with friends in tow! :rotfl:

You have a great friday too. Sounds like fun. I am just excited that my daughter is going to her dads this weekend. It's been a month (with our vacation) and I'm ready for a quiet weekend!
Have a good weekend all....
Steph

How's Kayla doing? Hope the doctor appointment went well. Lisa

Thank you to all that shared well wishes, thoughts, and experiences. We really have never had something like this happen to one of our children before and it was comforting - thank you! We felt very guilty - horrible parents.

Kayla's visit to the surgeon was pretty uneventful. There was still too much swelling so she has to go back on Thursday. This is bad because I have a surgical procedure on that day. The concern is that the fracture is near the growth plate, but the bone should heal fine without any problems.

Kayla is actually opposite of what one would think with the attention. She hates people seeing her temporary cast and covers it up whenever in public. If I was almost five years old, I would have been eating up the attention. At the fashion show today, she was very shy and tried her best to conceal her arm. She was suppose to wear a hoody around her shoulders/neck (preppy look!) but refused that look and had to wear the hoody with the outfit. She did great though. Worst part was she fell in love with the Juicy handbag she had as part of her outfit. Granted we receive a nice "Leadership" discount, but still!!!! She wanted that bag in the worse way - and of course Dad came home from work with it! Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled! Below are two really bad photo's from the event - they were just too quick on the runway!

Again, thank you for everyone's kind words.

Well, all, I'm in th hospital and have been told that I have 3 small tumors in my brain. They believe they are mastastisized from another part of the body. I've been though two ct scans and 1 mri. and they still can't find where it might have come from. Tomorrow I will be going in for surgury to remove 2 of the tumors in the cerabellam. Then both the area of removale and the other tumor higher in the head will be treated with radiation. and then kemo. In the meantime they hope to find out from biopsying the two they remove where in the body it came from.

This is going to be a very long journey and me and my family will need all the strength we can get. Prays please.

This cruise is what will keep me going/

Will update as soon as more is known.

Thanks Tina

Good luck to you. I hope all goes well and they can find it promptly. You'd think with all our advances in medicine these things could be found quickly. Thknk positive!

Here's pixiedust: they find a diagnosis soon and can get you on the road to recovery!

We saw Harry Potter today and loved it!!

Tomorrow we are off to the zoo and then the Hallmark Ornament preview to pick-up Pooh and other Disney ornaments! Rest of the weekend will be laying around.

I bought tickets for Comic Con today. It's in 2 weeks. Has anyone ever gone? Or going this year? I'm most looking forward to the Joss Whedon and Kevin Smith panels.

Had a great time with 2 friends. Was home by 11pm. I should have gone somewhere close enough to take a cab home without it costing a fortune, then I could have stayed out longer! But it's probably best for me to be responsible and get sleep. Sure was nice sitting outside though! Beautiful weather! :cloud9: Now I think I'm headed to sleep. Goodnight all!
