Nay, Keeptothecode is NOT the official POTC fansite, it's just ANOTHER fan site. Personally, I avoid the space as their always fishing for treasure (money from their visitors). I'm sure I'll get slammed from them again for posting this, but I believe in getting sponsors rather than charging visitors for what is freely available on the internet.
A better place to read about the Pirate Primer is at the author's own website: http://pirate.fwpublications.com/
Aye, I just got back from Hollyweird and the POTC:AWE event at the El Capitan. I'm catching up and uploading pics at the same time.
Ah, lots of confusion over a type-o...that was the Priate Premiere at Disneyland....the red carpet event that NotSoLittleMermaid went to!
But it's nice to know there is a book out there!

Forgive me for asking as I am not sure where about?

I think they are organizing a West Coast US minimeet!!! Unfortunately we won't get there I'm afraid!!!![]()
That's funny! We are actually thinking about moving back to Arizona. I would like to be closer to the West coast again. We lived in Carefree and I love that part of North Scottsdale although that area is getting really built up and $$$$$.

Thanks for the PM. I have tried twice now to PM and get error message 'post count too low to PM'. Guess I'll have to get chatty! We live in Carbondale. My DH, too, was born and raised and went to SIU here. Go Salukis!!
Wow, my posts have been so geographically inclined....
Not sure if you caught it or not but my DH found on the History channel an entire program last night about Pirates of the Carribean. He taped it for his Sister-in-law (Ibouncetoo). He thought she'd enjoy it. Was wondering if you caught it and if you thought it was well done.![]()
I love this STORY!!!! I can remember my first horsey encounters (I had non-horse parents). Horses can be a great out-let for a young girl (an old one too!) and they can teach her so many things about herself - as she grows older. Kept me from a lot of high school "trouble" as well!
I grew up in NW Indiana, and I can tell you having horses gave me a perspective on life that I am blessed to have. It taught me about money (those of us who didn't have any) could still beat the pants off the kids who did - through hard work and dedication. (good lessons). Also about showmanship, (that you don't always win - and to be a good sport) and about fairness (not all judges are fair and not every competition is).
Although its expensive - it doesn't have to be. I worked very hard babysitting, and mowing lawns at 12 to help pay for my horse. (Another good lesson).
At 48 I still get the joy from seeing others faces light up on their first ride, or the first time they and the horse communicate and have synergy! Tell your lovely DD - that if you guys ever come out West, She has an open invitation to ride in the desert!
That is just too funny!![]()

Now that I've caught up - I know there was a few more posts I wanted to respond too, but have forgotten.Someone mentioned menopausal symptoms - I can totally relate to that at this moment!
DH's bday was yesterday - he was left alone in peace and quiet while me and some gal pals went to a movie. We tried to see Waitress, but it was almost sold out. So we saw Disturbia. My little friend Miss Victoris said to me Pegala - it's not scary - it's ok for you to see it.
Needless to say, I called her after the movie and she was laughing... at one point jackie and I had our faces covered slouched down in our seats!![]()

My friend Deb and I then went and saw Waitress... ahhh nice afternoon.
Today, DH gets to do whatever he wants I think Spiderman3 is in the program of events...
Have a safe and Happy MEMORIAL Day - everyone. I'm going to take a moment and pray for our troops.![]()
I was wondering where in California the wine shop is. Would it be close enough to visit after the cruise, before we head home? IE: Close to the port?

We went to the outlet in Branson, Missouri a couple weeks ago and saw nothing that was not in the stores and the prices were the same.
What happened to the idea of OUTLET?

I watched it, and I really enjoyed it. I think Ibouncetoo will too.

Yeah, we used to go to the outlets in Anthem, but it has doubled (tripled?) since then. We could not believe the houses that went in up there after we left in 2003. They anticipated the Phoenix area growth slowing by 2007 way back in the 90's but it has just continued to boom.
Where did you grow up? We lived in Valparaiso for 10 1/2 years before moving to Indy in 2005.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE PIRATE PRIMER CAN BE FOUND?

LOL! This reminds me of one of Gilda Radner's characters on Saturday Night Live -- hard-of-hearing little old lady Emily Latella.
Emily Latella would give a guest editorial on "Weekend Update", where she would complain about a news item she clearly misunderstood. Example: "What's all this fuss about violins on television? For heaven's sake, if anything there ought to be more violins on television!"
Chevy Chase, anchor of the news, would let her rant a bit and then gently correct her, e.g., "That's violence on television, not violins". Emily would turn to the camera, smile, and say "Never mind!"
In other episodes, she complained about "Busting" School Children, "Canker" Research, "Celery" Caps, Endangered "Feces", the "Eagle" Rights Amendment, Making Puerto Rico a "Steak", and Presidential "Erections."
Anyone remember these classic skits?
Woody
What does your DH do at SIU?
Where in Carbondale do you live? DH grew up on Walnut Street.

Attention FISH EXTENDER TEAMS. Here's a cool web-site for printed materials. The Med repo folks came up with their own design and people were able to buy any style shirt, cap, mug, teaddy bear they wanted with their logo on it.....pretty cool, eh?
http://www.cafepress.com/cp/customize/
I'll get the link so you can see what they had.
Here it is: http://www.cafepress.com/may2007ebrepo
I don't know if we'll be able to use our logo since it has Mickey on it though.
