Never mind, let you know that I have been booking the Radisson for two nights before sailing with Magic Cruise. In case, might be full booking if leave until near the times. Think we flight out on 8th May and straight to Radisson to have relax times.

Scottishwee35

That should be a lovely relaxing time before the cruise. I think we will be flying on the 7th and going to WDW. John is not too bothered about Disney, so I tend to think if I can have the chance of an extra visit then I'm there!!!:rotfl:

NOPE.

Amy has not seen Pirates 1 OR Pirates 2. Amy is not a movie person. She only likes comedies if any movies at all. We went to dinner for Mexican after Sophia's dance class. Came home and Sophia and I shot hoops.

I know, not very exciting or romantic anniversary . . .

Alex, however, DID go to see Pirates. He went with a group of 12 friends. Of course he did not invite his dear old dad who DOES like movies. Even though I took him to Star Wars openings when he was young.

He just walked in the door - he said good until the ending.

He did not spoil it for me, but he said it in effect did NOT end - left open apparently for more movies.

CORRECTION--CORRECTION- CORRECTION

I have seen Pirates 1, just not with John!

Shawn lived in Rohnert Park for a number of years. Graduated from Rancho Cotate High School. He still has quite a few friends in Santa Rosa.

He then moved to Irvine, where we met, and we now live in Arizona for the past 10 years. Similar paths, wonder if Illinois is in our future?

That's funny! We are actually thinking about moving back to Arizona. I would like to be closer to the West coast again. We lived in Carefree and I love that part of North Scottsdale although that area is getting really built up and $$$$$.

Thanks for the PM. I have tried twice now to PM and get error message 'post count too low to PM'. Guess I'll have to get chatty! We live in Carbondale. My DH, too, was born and raised and went to SIU here. Go Salukis!!

Wow, my posts have been so geographically inclined....

Here is the actual Wine Bar. We will be taking the same green as the door and putting it on bead board on the front of the bar under the black granite.

How cool! What a GREAT looking place. Congratulations!

We did ours for our 2003 cruise so we're still good too!

Everyone that is going to get passports, double-check before going to the Post Office - ours does passports by appointment only. So it might not be a bad idea to call now even you weren't planning to do them for a month or 2 as I have heard it is sometimes taking that long to get an appointment.

Good suggestion, and in case you are like me and want to prepare ahead . . .

You can fill out your passport application and print it so that you are ready when you go to the post office.

Couldn't resist, mate, but Captain [Calico Jack] Rackham was killed when he and his crew got drunk before a battle with Navy. His lover, Anne Bonney, and her friend, Mary Read, were the only two pirates to fight off the Navy. In the end, though, they were captured and tried. It maybe one of the coolest pirate names, but not one of the most effective. However, he was considered one of the most dandiest dressers.

Well isn't that just lovely . . .

Just another FYI, the flag on the Black Pearl is also the Calico Jack Rackham Pirate Flag. Unfortunately though, I do not consider myself a "dandy" dresser. Just ask Amy . . .

I have found 2 interesting facts whilst I have been browsing.

We can already book Disney transfers from the port to DL at the end of our cruise.

If you have left over WDW tickets you can use them at DL!!![/QUOTE]

Wow Marilyn, I didn't know this, but it sure will come in handy since I will have World tickets left over when I get to Land. Now I know I can use them and not have to buy more.
:) :goodvibes :)

Check the prices. We had some WDW tickets that would not expire and discovered that the DL tickets were a good bit cheaper per day so decided to save the ones that would not expire for future WDW visits. But, if they have an expiration date, the decision would be different.

If you're interested, here's some of the pictures from my POTC:AWE adventure.pirate:

No actually contact was ever made, well, except maybe for this one pirate.:rolleyes1

Four hours of sleep last night, I'm off to bed. It's just me and the cabin boys all week and school's still not out for two of them.

Thanks for the pictues...It looks like you (umm, I mean Black Hearted Pearl) had a blast!

I couldn't believe it when we drove up I-17 to Black Canyon City yesterday. Was Anthem here when you were? It is a HUGH housing development and now pretty much all the land between CaveCreek/Carefree and Anthem has housing developments. Now, the desert isn't totaly developed, but you can no longer find a spot where there isn't some kind of development in your line of sight. The Scottsdale side is even more densly populated now.

Well, I was at the office yesterday morning until 1:00 in the afternoon . . .

We DID get to go to a NE Ohio DIS cookout afterward though, at Towncrier's house. He invited the whole DIS, and it looked like about a couple dozen showed up!:rotfl:

We then went to another friend's cookout, who live on a nearby lake. We had a very nice time, and Sophia got to ride on a boat tube, she loved it. Then the girl who babysits her sometimes (daughter of our friends) took her to see her horse (she leases a horse) at the horse barn to feed the horse and "muck" the stable. She let Sophia go for a ride, and if she didn't already have it she now has the horse bug BAD. The stable is about a 15 minute walk from our house, and Sophia now wants lessons, and made us promise to call today . . .:sad2:

Of course, she had to have a breathing treatment when we got home because she is also allergic to horses - but she just loves them, and the girl said she can tell Sophia has a natural ability to ride from what she saw.

I went to the Disney Outlet in Rehoboth Beach DL today and they had nothing either. I did not spend any money at all.

We went to the outlet in Branson, Missouri a couple weeks ago and saw nothing that was not in the stores and the prices were the same.
What happened to the idea of OUTLET?

Aunty Brat and Seaulater should be back soon:banana: Will be great to have them back and to hear all about their trip. I think there are some more from our group as well, but I can't remember who.

LOOKS LIKE A GOOD SPOT FOR A DIS MEET!!

IMGP1109.jpg

I agree - although I've forgotten exactly what town you are in - those are SMALL details! I always thought we should do our "wine" meet up in your area so we can all drop by and buy some WINE!!!!:thumbsup2

We found our pirate names for our cruise last year. I am Red Anne Vane and DrHug is Insane Izzy Kidd. pirate:

Not sure if you caught it or not but my DH found on the History channel an entire program last night about Pirates of the Carribean. He taped it for his Sister-in-law (Ibouncetoo). He thought she'd enjoy it. Was wondering if you caught it and if you thought it was well done.

I love this STORY!!!! I can remember my first horsey encounters (I had non-horse parents). Horses can be a great out-let for a young girl (an old one too!) and they can teach her so many things about herself - as she grows older. Kept me from a lot of high school "trouble" as well!

I grew up in NW Indiana, and I can tell you having horses gave me a perspective on life that I am blessed to have. It taught me about money (those of us who didn't have any) could still beat the pants off the kids who did - through hard work and dedication. (good lessons). Also about showmanship, (that you don't always win - and to be a good sport) and about fairness (not all judges are fair and not every competition is).

Although its expensive - it doesn't have to be. I worked very hard babysitting, and mowing lawns at 12 to help pay for my horse. (Another good lesson).

At 48 I still get the joy from seeing others faces light up on their first ride, or the first time they and the horse communicate and have synergy! Tell your lovely DD - that if you guys ever come out West, She has an open invitation to ride in the desert!

That is just too funny!:rotfl2: :lmao:

Now that I've caught up - I know there was a few more posts I wanted to respond too, but have forgotten. Someone mentioned menopausal symptoms - I can totally relate to that at this moment!

DH's bday was yesterday - he was left alone in peace and quiet while me and some gal pals went to a movie. We tried to see Waitress, but it was almost sold out. So we saw Disturbia. My little friend Miss Victoris said to me Pegala - it's not scary - it's ok for you to see it.

Needless to say, I called her after the movie and she was laughing... at one point jackie and I had our faces covered slouched down in our seats!:scared1: :scared1: :scared:

My friend Deb and I then went and saw Waitress... ahhh nice afternoon.

Today, DH gets to do whatever he wants I think Spiderman3 is in the program of events...

Have a safe and Happy MEMORIAL Day - everyone. I'm going to take a moment and pray for our troops.:cheer2:

Also txaggie (Elizabeth)!

Can't wait till they all check in :thumbsup2
