I wish DL felt the same way about CA residents. We paid $425.60 for the two of us for one night at the Grand Californian. I guess Disney does not feel the same way about its Californian customers.

I have to say, this is another wonderful perk of DVC. We stayed at the Grand Californian a couple of weeks ago, and stayed in conceirge. They met us at the door, took us right up and checked us in in our room! So nice, and much easier to spend "points"!

I'm nearly 40 pages behind! Before I start catching up I just wanted to check in and say "hi everyone"!

The Pirates premier was lots of fun! Hopefully I'll post some pix before too long.

The DISmeet was great! It was so fun to put faces and voices with screen names. Thanks, Lisa, for making that happen!

I don't want to give too much away, but Peggy Jo was a big hit at the Billy Hill show at DL on Monday! I think Billy is IN LOVE!

I now have a favorite new nightcap--tuxedo strawberries and Banfi; and a new snack stop on the way to and from CA--Auntie Anne's for a pretzel dog!

FUN, FUN, FUN!

And...today is my birthday! Very low key day, doing laundry and getting organized. But next year...I'll be celebrating with all of you on the Magic!!!

:yay: :yay: :cool1: :woohoo: :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :yay:

Now, back to catching up!

Welcome back Cheri.

And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Ok, I'm about to lose the DIS again and I STILL have 10 pages to catch up on!!

Loved the DIS meet pics! Wish we could have been there a week later...

Still thinking about a NOCAL DIS meet at our wine shop... I'll post pics soon of how BIG it is!!

I'll be heading to bed soon, the new shop is going well, but wearing me out!!

Take care everyone!

Karen

You can just say you met us on the DIS - just remind us whose kids KNOW about the cruise to just say the same.

I mentioned the loan repayment thing to him tonight. They told them at the Med school at the one session parents were allowed to attend to NOT worry about their loans - they will easily repay them. Worries the heck out of me though - I know not all doctors practice in lucrative fields.

Oh well, he will have to take on that responsibility I guess as he moves forward.

I need to go to bed too. Really worn out - long week, and lots going on this weekend again.
I'm worried too about paying off my loans when I graduate from law school. 18 more classes to go (plus 3 credits of clinic) after this semester, and then I can start worrying about it. I've almost reached the maximum amount you can take out in Federal student loans, so I'll in about the worst scenario imaginable. BUT, since I'm already used to having a very low income, things will balance out. The guys at work told me I should at least be making double my current income after I pass the bar (based on what the new associates there are making), so even after factoring in my student loan payments (even if they're $800/month), I'll still be better off financially than what I am now. So it's all good! :goodvibes

(18 more classes may seem like a lot, but at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel instead of saying, "I have too much more school to even think about")

Off to hop in the shower and head to work. I'll be about 10 minutes late, as usual, but it serves them right for always leaving us so shorthanded and not appreciating those of us who show up every day. And for not firing those who only manage to come to work 3 or 4 out of 5 days EVERY week! Not good for morale for the rest of us. OH well.....life goes on! :thumbsup2 Have a great day everybody!

Hello Granmaz

I cannot believe that it is 1142 pages!!

I just want to saying hi:thumbsup2 and I am looking forward to another Cruise next year.

I am so exciting again :goodvibes :goodvibes

I look forward to meet you and other.

Hope we will share about information for next year also I am searching for flights too as still too early but search for flights to and forth. If you know any good flights:confused3

Take Care

You probably have the same problem as us - needing connecting flights from London on the way back. You may need them on the way over too perhaps! Our favoured option at the moment, but will probably change, is to have return flights from Orlando so we can end back in Manchester, and get connecting flights from Los Angeles to Orlando the day before we fly home.

It has actually turned into something of a big problem. It is fine if you live down south and can just return to London, but that is not me or you!!!

By the way there are 2 other couples in this group at the moment from the UK,

Pirates Primer?? WHERE?
I have a friend who has put together some cookbooks. One is WINOS and the other is WINOS LOVE CHOCOLATE (or something like that--recipes that use or go well with wine and chocolate). WINOS stands for Women In Need Of Sanity. they are pretty neat. She sells them for $20 each. I need to find out if she has a website.

Oh, if she has a web site, please share it ::yes::

This past Saturday was the world premiere of Pirates III at Disneyland. The movie officially opens tomorrow, but I thought I saw that theaters are starting to show it tonight :confused3 Guess I'll check that out.

Just notice we sailed right by post 17,000 without a celebration! Congrats to LiserAnn! pirate:

POC III opens tonight at 8pm. It was originally scheduled for midnight tonight but something about the 3 hour running time limiting number of showings per day made them bump the opening by 4 hours.

Well this Champagne Girl is very tired, but still a little over stimulated by the LOST finale! HOKEY SMOKES, BULLWINKLE! What a show!

OK....off to grab a big drink of water, pack up the leftover pizza and toddle off to dreamland....later kids!

VERY good finale....I still wish we had more answers, but maybe next year, right?:lmao:

Happy late Birthday Cheri!! Sounds like you had a blast at POC premier!!

I have been working on a box car with DD. They are having a "drive in" movie at school and all the kids are making cars out of boxes so they can "drive" to the movie and sit in thier "car". I will have to watch the news later. It takes all my concentration for this big a craft project. wow, I don't even know where to store it. Although it is pretty cute, it is Red VW Bug, and Geeks you will appreciate this, it is a banana box I got from the grocery store.

Kim

What a great idea!! I will have to mention this to my middle DD for her classroom.

Unbelievable!!

Our DD has always been so well behaved, most passengers are surprised that she was sitting near them when she was little.

Your DD was obviously better behaved than the couple that raised the ruckus!!

Glad that everyone clapped too!!

Karen

I think that most people are really kind and understanding given half a chance. We just need to stand up to those unkind, uncaring people and let them know their behavior is not acceptable to the rest of us.
