I have been meaning to post this info, but time...where does it go?! :lmao: I have reserved 2 hummerzines for a one way trip from MCO Hyatt to Port. At this point, we have 2 hummers and 2 luggage vans. I think we will probably need both. They are both set to go out at 9am for now, but I can change that once people get their flight info. I have reserved them on a cc, and I figure we can all bring cash there to pay them. It is $376.00 per hummer plus tip. That means 18.80 per person, plus tips. Here are the breakdowns of the limos...just in the order that people PM'd me and the way we could get 20. As you can see at the bottom, there were 3 families that PM'd me later and I do not have any more room. Happy Limo has more limo's but I think the next largest holds 14. There is also the company that Lisa (Calmom) had contacted about a party bus, http://www.a1limobus.com/jumbo.htm , if someone wants to check that out, then you would have even more room for other people to join in. So, I will try and get PM's out to everyone...and once people start determining exactly when they will be able to leave for the port, please PM me. Yes, I know this is way ahead of the game, but it is set now and we can just sit back and wait until we book airline tix...then we can just sit and wait until we can book excursions....!:cool1:  If you don't want to be in the limo anymore, please let me know that as well.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!:thumbsup2 :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

Thanks Kaylee!!! I'm so excited....12 months....ugh!

So, did they make a suggestion on a tip percentage...or what is the norm?

DH says his first kiss was with Barb P (he won't embarrass her by giving her whole name!) at the ripe old age of nine and that she showed him her..um...goodies...too...

Carolyn

WOW!!! What a show he received was she 9 too? Little trollup! Just kidding.:rotfl: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Sounds like Samantha is doing so well. I remember when my kids were little and I could understand what they were learning.....then they got to middle school and went over my head!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: It is strange to have to read the chapter before you can help them. Daniel stopped asking around
10th grade.....just could not help him.

Your post really resonnated with me because I am still reading, editing and generally critiquing DD's papers in Poly Sci and English even though she is a senior in college. DH is very sad she is not a math or science major as he LOVED helping her with her homework in HS. He always helped with math and science while I helped with social sciences and English. The only subject we never helped her with was French, that was my mother

John-Was it older than mine?

I was 16 when I got my first BF and first kiss. Never had another boyfriend. DH and I dated for 7 years. I guess I knew what I was looking for. (My mom says I had to find somebody who could handle me :rolleyes1 ).

I know what you mean, but it took me until I was 38 to find a man that could handle me!

Thereabouts...she had a "reputation" already and just whipped her shirt off!

Carolyn
Or she was just proud of what she had! At nine... at 15 ... at 38... even now, I still don't have much to whip of the shirt and be proud of :rolleyes1 !

I have been reading every day but not posting much as DD came home to do interviews for either an internship/job in either a law firm or a pr agency in the SF Bay area. Her goal is to move in with her friends in Los Angeles by fall, unrealistic, but her dream goal. She wants to work for at least a year prior to applying to law school so we are encouraging her to live at home to save money.

Most of us probably remember the excitement of interviewing for our first "jobs". I am reliving it through Sam. Her first interviewer turned out to be a fellow graduate of her high school, Crystal Springs Uplands in Hillsborough. What a way to start the interview process!! She came out of the interview so upbeat and positive, it set the tone for the rest of the days interviews. Her first words to me were, "Mom, I don't know why I ever doubt myself!! I aced the interview."

Even if she is not offered a position, she is off to a flying start!! Well, we are off again to the last interview. Chat with you all later.

Hi all , finally got caught up on my reading again. I just love all the pictures that have been posted of your beautiful children. Hopefully after my daughter's wedding I'll find time to figure out how to post some pictures of my own. I went with Sara to her 1st wedding gown fitting the other day :goodvibes Of course she looks stunning :goodvibes The dress is just a perfect fit, she only needs the straps shortened a little and the hem length shortened an inch or two. I spent my only day off work this week shopping for shoes, but yippee :cool1: I finally found a pair! Now to find a purse and some jewelry  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Oh boy, It took me half an hour today to catch up on all the posts I had missed. I wonder what this thread will look at at the Feb.'08 mark!

Tiggerspal, if you need some time with young ones, you're more than welcome to meet the rowdy boys(:dance3: ). They cure everyone.:headache:

On the car rental places, all of those are the ones closest to Disneyland/Anaheim Resort Area. I know you can get a shuttle from LAX to DL, so I would think DCL would have something similar from San Pedro to Disneyland.

Having been to San Pedro several times, it's not a very pretty place and the Ports of Call shopping center has seen better, much better days.

Here's a link to a video I took out of San Pedro last year. I thought some of you might enjoy it (Ibouncetoo, TiggersPal, NotSoLittleMermaid).;)

I'm going to take it down at the end of April. I found someone pirating it on myspace again, claim it has their own! Bloody pirates!

Our December Double dip is still going along, we are at 73,706 posts.

Alright Mac geniuses . . . . need advice.

Looking to add a laptop for pretty basic stuff.

Is a Macbook pretty decent or should we go PRO??

Thanks in advance.

Kaylee....I'm so excited to see our name....can't wait....wanna get to the ship early, I mean, we ONLY have FIFTEEN days on the ship:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: PM me when you want some $$$$!

We saw Michael Eisner at Kutztown University the other night - very interesting. Bob and I were so excited to see him - guess he is a hero to us, the Disney lovers that we are....(I did want to ask him what he has done with ALL the money Bob and I have given him over the years - all those Disney trips and cruises:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ).

Almost a year away - can't believe it!:dance3: :dance3:

Lucy and Bob:flower3:
(next month we will be meeting EllaEnchanted - Deb and John - can't wait for that night too!):woohoo: :woohoo:

Help me understand more of what you want to do, and how much you want to spend. I love my Macbook -

Reasons to go Pro :

Slightly faster processors available
Larger screen (Macbook is 13" only - pro is 15" or 17")
Expansion slot in Pro - none in Macbook
You like the look of aluminum
backlit keyboard on Pro
You want a matte finish screen (glossy only on Macbook)

Here's an article with a more detailed comparisson . . .

http://www.pbcentral.com/columns/hildreth_moore/macbookmacbookpro.shtml

For me, I would save some $$$, and buy a Macbook with as big a hard drive as you think you need, and I would also make sure I got the Superdrive (read and write CD's and DVD's).

My son is going to get a Mac this summer, and he is going to buy a pro - he wants the bigger screen. I like the portability of the smaller laptop.

Any other questions I can help with?

Nope . . . no Cathy on our cruise or old thread . . .

(Bracks, Todds, Lisas, Carolines, Kims, Pjs . . . etc.)
