well another day, another $0.50 towards the cruise!

I am ready to get out of here today....and whoo hoo American Idol is on tonight. DH has a ball game but it's a 9:30 game, which means he will be extremely late coming home....but the playoffs start after tonight. Fun stuff!

I hope to get a load of laundry done and maybe clean out a filing cabinet while watching AI tonight.

Have a great evening everyone!

You know, life is an interesting journey. And our journey introduced us to the disboards back in 2004 (I think) and we have become friends with many through our association on the boards.

In December, 2004, a group of us met on the first 10 day Christmas Cruise on the Magic because of the disboards, deck 10 meet, and then a bunch of us ended up cruising on the first WB Panama Canal cruise in May 2005.

When you cruise together for the longer cruises, you really get to know one another and really become a family (except with all the emotional baggage that sometimes your own immediate family brings!)

We have found our friendships with those we met through the disboards to be enriching and we have done many things together since those initial cruises. We have the disboards to thank for these friendships which I know have become life long ones!

Harry was a great guy. Sorry you didn't get to meet him. I'm sure you would have enjoyed knowing him also.

I've got chills...I was laughing so hard reading the previous posts and then I read yours and I literally teared up and got chills.

At least Harry lives on through you. He touched your life and I'm sure you'll share the stories of all the memories you have with him. Thanks for your thoughts and perspective...they hit home!

That is really sweet and I am sorry for your lost along with the family and the others that got to know him.

Here is the visual I got when you mentioned a "kitty cat" costume!!

Thank you for such a beautiful and moving tribute. I wish I could have know Harry.

O.K. it was you. My fellow California girl. Do you do the coke rewards?

I do collect them, but I haven't been too thrilled with the offerings. It's become more of a habit now. I did get the red Adidas sweatshirt that is huge, but comfy and has a big front pocket that is handy during walks. Do you collect the points?

Carolyn

My stomach hurts from laughing so hard today at all the posts...

I'm supposed to be looking for an Rx from the Doctor written 6 months ago...I have to take blood tests before going back for my next upcoming appointment.

I didn't get it done....I'm having way too much fun laughing here. Thanks Ladies for a great afternoon!:dance3: :grouphug:

For those that know Kay Russell and her husband Harry, here is the latest information on his passing:

Harry's obituary is now on-line. Here is the link if you would like to see and sign in on the guest book.

I have had some of our fellow disboarders ask how they contribute for flowers or a gift. The family has requested that memorial gifts may be made in his memory to Hospice Care of Southeast Florida, Inc. 309 SE 18th St., Fort Lauderdale, FL33316 or you can go directly to their website at
https://www.hospicecareflorida.org/form-payments.htm

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kay and family during this difficult time.

Thanks for posting this, Linda.

As Tinkerbell would say SASSY!:rotfl:

A little bit of sassy can be a good thing! Sure lifts my spirits! :goodvibes

:rotfl2: They're forcing us to drink!!!

OH, the horror! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I Love Going to Parties...If you do get the Cat 1, maybe you could host the Champagne tasting and Karen can host the wine tasting party and we all get to come to both!!!:cool1: :rolleyes1 :cool2: :cheer2:

BOTH! Yeah, yeah, me too! I don't drink wine either, but a tasting would be great to broaden my horizons. :banana:Yeah, that's it. :rolleyes1

I think with wine tastings, champagne tastings, martini tastings, DOD club, wine at meals, art auctions, Castaway Club reception, etc, many folk are going to be sozzled the whole trip!:drinking: :drinking1

Well, time to turn in now. Thanks for all the laughs today. Hope you have a good evening. See you tomorrow.
