We are having the weirdest weather today. It started out sunny then it got really cold and all of a sudden it hailed. Now it is windy and rainy with a little more sun.:confused3
Crazy! Ours is beautiful! Still 71 degrees (got up to 75). But tomorrow is only supposed to be a high of 49 and around that temp the rest of the week with rain. I guess Tyler picked the right days to be sick! At least I got to see bits and pieces of the beautiful weather while it's here! :goodvibes

She sounded so terrible this morning.....she was crying and saying she felt horrible. The teachers talked her into trying to stay anyway. Advil...Tylenol....she said okay she felt better.

11:30am...she called crying ....fever 104.....I got my husband on a flight from Dulles (glad we live 10 minutes away) at 12:41...takes off in about 2 minutes. I need to rent a car for him and then he can drive right to the Busch Gardens Health Center.....that is pretty cool.....so she does not need to walk at all.

Back to airport catch a 6:15 flight back home and in her bed at 8:30pm.

I feel so much better that I know she is on her way home.

Please pray for my husband and Annie......

Now on my way to the doctor with 2nd DD. She smashed her finger in te car door last night and we tried to treat it with ice and meds......she need to be seen...soonest for her was 2:30pm today. I think it must be a broken thumb.

okay, please pray for Gretchen as well.....

When it rains it pours

Lisa....
Wow, what a day for your family. I hope that all works out with both DD's. Keep us informed (although you might have already since I am just getting this and it is already 5:00 your time!).

Boy, we have been so slow recently and 1 day I don't check often due to back to back patients and boom....hit with 8 pages and it is only 2pm PST! Here's hoping I can catch up soon........

Totally not on any topic, just sharing...

DD just put a sign up in here: Come to Layla's Kabob Shop

So, I did. I guess she'd been downstairs making kabobs of raisins and sliced string cheese. Loose raisins were free. Kabobs cost a hug AND a smooch. Her brother got a deal. He only has to pay with a hug (she says his smooches are too slimy).

(Layla's not her name. We decided that since she and I don't have sisters, we would be each other's sisters. Every now and then she changes our sister names. Used to be Rose and Sunflower. Lately, it's Layla and Elayla.)

Here is the visual I got when you mentioned a "kitty cat" costume!!

kittycat.jpg

That's exactly what I thought of too! Hey, turn her hair brown and that's what I expect to look like by cruisetime! I'm on a mission!

Since I'm partial to Tink, how about Sassy Bubbles...sounds like our group. What does everyone think?:confused3
WONDERFUL!
Pink and bubbles makes me think of Pink Panther:

Oh my, I just don't think we (comunal we here) are ready to don on that outfit.....we'd need to drink to get up the nerve....:scared1:

I think with wine tastings, champagne tastings, martini tastings, DOD club, wine at meals, art auctions, Castaway Club reception, etc, many folk are going to be sozzled the whole trip!:drinking: :drinking1

yes, sozzled, that's the ticket...ya found me out!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: and it all started with that little watered down DOD see what happens when you drink and drink some more :scared1:

Noel, yes I'll try it now of course that history would entice the best of 'em.

DH made some ressies for us at one of our favorite french resturants on Friday before Molly's play for my bday...La Masion du Cafe....yummmmm I'm getting hungry just thinking of it and I have to wait 3 more days yikes!!! (my sister is giving me the gift of taking the boy out for dinner at his favorite resturant I'm sure McDonalds and meeting us at the play. All around good plan)

off to get them from school and start the afternoon process....:woohoo: a thrill a minute I tell you!

Oops, I thought that was the whole point of the cruise?! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I am just kidding, (kinda:rotfl2:) COLOR]

Should we all turn up in pink for the Champagne Girls get together?:cutie:

With all this "Pink" talk today, I keep thinking of my favorite camping drink...pink panty droppers! They are great, taste like lemonade and I guess if you drink enough cause the name to come true, but I have never experienced that! :rotfl: Personally, I like Sassy Bubbles for the mascot's name, whatever it turns out to be.

Too cute, how old is she? That is adorable...and you took pictures of everything, right?! What great scrapbooking pages and stories.

That would be appropriate...I like hot pink and have several outfits...hmmm....what to wear?....and shoes....I do have hot pink shoes too!

Hot pink was my theme for the 11 night southern and so I bought the outfits. I think I'll do aqua blue for the 15 night WB repo. Have to buy clothes and shoes...!!!:hippie:

She's 5. No pictures. Bad mom. Don't scrapbook, either. I will save the sign, though. She does a lot of stuff that probably should be chronicled. In her next life, with her perfect mom:)...

I think your name is going to be 'sassy bubbles' ... do you like it? If so, whatever you want to wear is ok with us...but please make it pink!:cutie:

It's eduuucaaational....

Carolyn

:rotfl: Yeah that's it! Actually, I did tell myself that to get myself to go to a wine tasting put on by the Michigan Vintners Club (one of the partners at the firm where I work is president). I found that I like Reisling. And a cherry wine from Traverse City.

That's just SO sweet! What a wonderful daughter!

HOLY SMOKES! I looked outside to see what all the noise was and the sky has turned BLACK and the wind is blowing everything around inside my house. The temp has dropped.....I better shut the windows. :sad2: It was so nice to feel the fresh air, but now every paper has blown off our fridge! Yup, thunderstorms are on the way. Hail, lightning, and strong winds according to severe weather bulletin that just popped up. Crazy how fast weather changes.

OH MY GOSH! I've never heard of that drink! Too funny! :rotfl:

Had to look. Found a recipe for Pink Panty Droppers:

18 cans beer
1 bottle Everclear® alcohol
1 bottle tequila
1 1/2 jugs, pre-made pink lemonade

First add all 18 cans of beer to a large container. Add bottles of Everclear and tequila and last but not least add the pink lemonade. Place lemon slices in the mixture for extra flavor. Let sit for a few hours, then serve.

**I think I'd need to worry more about passing out than dropping panties after drinking this. Is this how you make it Kaylee? I, also, saw it with vodka rather than Everclear...

Aren't we all already?! :)

We were out to dinner the other night and my oldest was telling stories that she remembered about herself (from ones we told her). My youngest started asking for stories about her...we sat there for a long time and none of us (my parents and DH and I)could think of any. Talk about guilt. Talk about feeling like a bad mommy. I went home and started a journal for her, but it is still pretty empty:sad2:

BLECH! I got nauseous just reading the ingredients! That leaves more for everybody else, so that could be a good thing!

Well, he did get on Mission Space and Expedition Everest with his dad and Woody. Made me look crazy after warning Woody that DS wouldn't go on any of the scary rides. What do I know??:) (Just don't ask him to go on Pirates or Haunted Mansion...)

Carolyn

True! But I bet he liked SPLASH mountain better! :cloud9: I still laugh when I think of that!

Well, my DH has my daughter and now one of her friends as well. The flight takes off from Tampa at 6:15pm (about 6 minutes) and they are on board!!

Today, a total of 8 students are sick (out of 40).....Annie and Laura are the first to leave.

I bought trip insurance on this trip. The trip was $2,000 and the insurance was $159. I am on the phone now with Worldstrides and they say the insurance only covers injury not illness. This really makes me mad.

I will remember to remind you onboard. Do I need to have a DOD in hand when you're telling the story?!

I highly recommend it!!!! As a matter of fact I recommend we have several!!!

This is going to be a blast!
