It's very quiet on here today. Everyone must be out enjoying themselves - especially John, Amy and Sophia, Noel, and Angie and Doug!

After our long walk this morning we set off for a drive up into the North Yorkshire countryside which was lovely. Benefitting from the clock change now too.
Sounds like it was a beautiful day for you! :thumbsup2 It turned beautiful here! It's 70 so I opened windows for the first time this season.

We took a 3 hour nap due to colds. Tyler's got a nasty cough, but the fever his dad said he had at his house is gone and his appetite came back last night. Today he's a bottomless pit....can't get him to stop eating, so I know he's on the mend, but still obviously needs lots of sleep to recover. He's long past taking naps, so I was surprised to find we both slept for so long (me because I feel like I'm starting to come down with it).

We then went outside to put our Easter bunnies in the yard and he tried to play in the backyard for about 10 minutes but wanted to go in. Could tell he doesn't feel so great yet. So the windows are open to get some of the beautiful fresh air! :cool1: Lovely!

we shopped a bit too yesterday, with Wilson, but it was kicking and screaming all the way, my boy no likey the shopping :confused3 . But I was the bargin hunter and can be since he doesn't care about the names on the clothes yet....(i'm sure he will soon) I went into the Old Navy, Target & Carter's outlet store I think for the last time, they had a size 7 surfer dude (but is really the skater dude, been on a board since he was 2) outfit, which I had to get him since he had on his baseball uniform and we didn't plan to bring any extra clothes and we headed to ILs for dinner...good reason to force him to try it on. He tried it, and wore it all out the store.
:rotfl: Funny! We're just the opposite. I can't stand shopping, but Tyler's a shopaholic...takes after his dad in that regard. ;)

And by the way.....the zoo sounds wonderful! I can't wait to go ours! It's free on Tuesdays for residents. Gotta love that!

Sorry you're both not feeling good Holly. Hope the weather stays good for you.

Just got a call from a friend of mine. She does a lot of volunteer work for the local golden retriever rescue organization and they were able to shutdown a puppy mill and rescue 100 dogs! She told me some of the stories that didn't make the news and it was horrendous.

Need pixie dust so that all these poor sweet dogs get good homes. :tinker:

Maz, I do love the N Yorks countryside, it's really beautiful!:)

LOL HA HA LOL HA HA LOL HA HA LOL....

Ella.....:confused3 what can I say? I may be a redhead but I'm a blonde on the inside!;)

You'll see why I need a 'pen' when you meet me and realise how crazy I can be! :woohoo:

Lisa...been there for both those things. Could have been telling my story! :lmao: Growing up Mom always bought my stuff from Saks and Macy's and I just never quite fit in the style. Although I do remember the time she bought me a few terry cloth like Izods and I thought I was in heaven:lmao: anyone remember those shirts being the "style"? DD8 has never cared about style and then one day last year she told me she really needed some Roxy stuff because that is how all the cool girls dressed. Well, off we went and spent way too much on Roxy stuff. Yup, I was that mom! And, why is it that Roxy is NEVER on sale?! and totally overpriced?! I never realized boys went through the same stuff. One time when DD was in Kindergarten, 2 little girls came up to her on the day of the mother's day tea and told her that she could play with them today because she finally looked pretty! I was shocked. Girls can be soooo mean:sad2: Hope your DS has a great day at school on Monday looking stylin! :thumbsup2

Uh oh..the whole clothes thing is a nightmare....dd has always been soooo fussy about her clothes, even as a young toddler! I'm glad she buys most of her own things now! She and her bf actually work in Billabong at the weekends so she gets a great discount :)

My mom volunteers at a local animal shelter and they just rescued a bunch of poodles. These backdoor breeders really make me sick!!! It's great that they were able to get these dogs out, people love golden retriever's so hopefully they'll all be adopted soon.

Thanks! I think the weather is supposed to be rainy most of the week, so we're enjoying today as much as we can for how lousy Tyler feels. Tomorrow looks like the best day---no rain and 73 degrees! :cool1:

Hey! I'd be happy to share a pen with you, as long somebody will bring a steady stream of DODs and food! :rotfl2:

For those mom's that need Roxy and Billabong stuff for their kids try Ross if you have one near you. I always get DD's stuff there for a lot cheaper. They have the shirts for $10.00 and less. I love that store.

sounds like a great idea to me Holly!:rotfl2: We could put up a sign...'Beware of the DIS-members...have been known to bite!' ;)

That's good info thank you! Does anyone know if there's a Ross store in Orlando? We'll be there next Month (yay!) :cool1:

:rotfl: I love it! And the sign could also say "Just hand over the drink.....and back away slowly". :lmao:

. . . Tell Mrs. Woody that I spent an hour today at Stampotique talking to Carol (the owner) about DISNEY CRUISING! She's a major Minnie Mouse fan! I gave her the DIS web address. Did I buy a stamp? Of course and an image of it will probably show up in your mailbox someday (as well as the mailbox of others on this thread....as it is cruise related).
Sounds like a fun time at Stampotique! Looking forward to seeing the stamp image.

Woody

Sue (OkraysLoveDisney), your fish extender went out priority mail yesterday (Saturday). :cool1: Hope you enjoy it.

Carol and Doug

The final game is on Monday, April 2nd.

But the Buckeyes game against the East Regional winner is on Saturday, March 31st. Are you hoping to play North Carolina or Georgetown?

Pick your poison . . . I guess since NC beat us Georgetown - which is who we are playing.

I'll say!

Only two pages to catch up on tonight. We swam in the morning, went to the Indians-Dodgers game in the afternoon (Indians lost, but we left after 5 innings because it was too BLAZIN' hot to sit and watch a ballgame - both Sophia and I picked up a bit of burn), more swimming tonight, and dinner out.

Having a great time - wish more friends were with us! I truly love this Disney resort-away-from-Disney!

Glad you're having a great time! I'm enjoying living vicariously through you and the others on here who are currently traveling too. :goodvibes
