I'd definately wait till AFTER 2/8/08 before trying to hunt down the folks who haven't been added to the list(s) in the meantime. Hopefully, some folks who have to cancel will post on the thread. I'm also betting some lurkers won't post UNTIL 2/8/08. ::yes::

OK....back to catching up. I take one night off the DIS and you guys sure were chatty!!

Personally, since I have the time right now, I feel it is easier to add people now and check later as time passes to delete them. It takes much more time to type than to delete.

Hi all! I am so behind so I apologize if this has already been mentioned. But I think we should indicate on the list who has fish extenders as well - some of the groups individuals may decide to give their gifts only to those with fish extenders and not everyone on the list.

Thank you!
Lisa

My list will be twofold, one list for the gift givers and one overall. I will just split the excel spread sheet into two lists before we cruise. We just need the data as who is giving and who has fish extenders and how many gifts per SR.

Wow...I go to bed just as everyone is saying goodnight...and then it turns into a hysterical chatfest. I think I need to get my insomnia back :lmao: You guys looked like you had way too much fun last night...and you snagged 9000 having fun which is great! :thumbsup2 Tonight I vow to try and join the late night chatters.....but knowing me I will be :cloud9:

Wahoooo for Karen on 9K

Well, I am off to get DD ready for school and then hit the gym for a few hours. Will catch you all later today...it is laundry day again at my house so I am sure I will be :surfweb: instead of :laundy:

Oh, and if any of you Californians want some rain, just head a bit north....yup, it is RAINING once again:sad2:

Being a native southern Californian, I will pass on the rain as I only "visit" weather, not live in it!!

I agree, I wouldn't start worrying about who is definitely going now because a lot will change when the point charts come out and final payments are due. I know that Mommaluvsdis, who is on our lists, said she had to cancel and now is going to try and join us again if and when things open up, so it might be a good thing to start with what you have and take them off as needed. Also, just remember some of the people who have posted on our thread are not on this cruise. Hygiene99 is one of them, as is Captain Crash.

I guess I better PM my info!! :)

As I said in early post, easier to add (of course not Hygiene99 or Captain Crash) than to delete later. I printed out 3 lists yesterday and took me all day to consolidate the three into one to send to Lisa

I am finally all caught up! :cool1:
John, thanks for posting the Post Count. It is funny I came with about the same amout of posts that I've done here!

Update on my friend - she is able to do the IVF before the Chemo starts on April 1. So she will start to get hormone shots next week.:sad2: Makes me a little scared, but by doing this it will hopefully get her focused then on fighting the cancer (NHL). She has had two weeks of radiation already. The treatments will go until Oct. Her doctor gave her off until Dec, so she hopes to go back to teaching in Jan 08. Thanks for all the positive thoughts. I will see her tonight.

Best wishes and lots of positive energy to your friend!!
My sister has suprised me with an all paid Maui trip over Memorial Day week-end - four nights! Can't wait - she has lots of miles with work so we will travel first class and have a Mai Tai on the way! Actually, not a big fan of Mai Tai - maybe Champange! What do I care - I'll have a domestic beer. Four nights with no guitar lessons, homework, work....HEAVEN:cloud9:

Ok - off to work! Have a good day all. Lisa

You go girl!! Hope the Hana Road is open now as wasn't when I was there in December. Have a Bellini on me!! Peach nectar and champagne!!

I have exciting plans for the weekend too!:):cool1: It's Mothers Day on Sunday here in the UK (I'm sad that dd is away on her trip for that :() so tomorrow my sister and I have planned to a surprise for our Mum. ....

We're meeting her in London and taking her to Harrods for afternoon tea! I hope she likes it....DH and I did it last month and had a fab time, with champagne as well. The Georgian tea rooms are beautifl at harrods and the service was very freindly..not at all snooty!;) ]

Love Harrods!! DD was once refused entry and had to go back to hotel and change her $300 ripped jeans. Of course, we told her she couldn't wear them but you know the lesson she learned when she was refused entry was priceless. Love the market downstairs, the sushi bar, the tapas bar, the champagne and oyster bar, the Georgian room, I could go on and on. We buy teas and goodies for home. Always get a mani/pedi, wrap, massage and scalp treatment with blow dry when I am in London at the Knightsbridge store.

Thanks for the update on your friend Lisa...I'll be thinking of her.

Wow! that's really nice of your sister....I'd love to go to Maui one day....so many places so little time......;) when is Memorial Day???

Memorial Day which was originally called Decoration in the US is a celebration of those who have fallen in service of our country. It was established in 1868 to honor those soldiers who had fallen during the American Civil War. It was recognized by all the Northern States by 1890. However it was not recognized by the Southern States (who had a seperate holiday) until after WW1 when the holiday changed to a holdiay honoring all Americans fighting in any war.

If you want to read more about the history, here is a website:

I should be focusing on work, but I am trying to nail down our last ADR for our May trip....such decisions!

I'm all up for meeting in December. We usually go to the MVMCP......

i'm up for palo tea...count me in. It just has to be when kids club is open!
:)
Steph

OK, that makes four plus you that's 5 or 6 or more??? How many are you? Then we have to see how many you need to reserve the back table!?! Noel!?!

count me in for ANYTHING in PALO.....
I wonder how many times we can eat dinner at PALO in 15 days?
Can you only make ONE reservation at a time for dinner?
Totally MY FAVORITE thing on the ship:woohoo: ...oh and Mickey bars:mickeybar , oh and Mickey Waffles::MickeyMo ....oh, and pizza:yay: ....oh, and etc. etc. etc.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

PM you full names and SR info and I will put you on the list.

YEAAHHHHH I'm so happy you want to come with us. I really should have known anything Palo for you! I'm not exactly sure how many reservations you can do at one time for dinner. And I don't think we can get the back table for four, unless others want to join us.

Noel, keeper of the Palo list...what do you say?

We are trying to do private Palo Brunches on different days. If you want to be with certain people on a certain day, we will try to accomodate. We also have a list for private Palo Dinners. I am the keeper of the list but we will not know for sure what days or if we get our requests until 30 days before. The room holds 14 so we are trying to organize in groups of 14. We have a few people who have volunteered to send faxes so people can still keep requesting as we have room!!

Yes I am very Greek...mom is a purebred and dad is a mix, but mom ruled the roost so we did everything Greek growing up. The foods, the traditions, the Holidays and Church with my grandmother. The only thing I can't do is speak the language. I can only say two phrases and I wouldn't even attempt to spell them so I'll save them for meeting in person.

I'm very proud to be Greek and I'm waiting for the new DC boats to add Greece and the Greek Islands to their med itineraries so I can go. My brother was there once on Greek Easter and he said everyone knew he was Greek and he had a blast. Everyone partying and cooking lamb in the streets...I can't wait to go, but only with DCL.

We have a close friend from Peabody, MA who is also Greek and very proud of his heritage. His name is Stanley Karandanis.

Steph

Just pm your full names and SR numbers and I will add you to the list.

what all lists are there to sign up on?

I have been pretty bad about keeping up...!

As for my lists, I have you on master list but do not have your last name, yours and you DH's ages and SR info.

I do not have you on either the private Palo brunch or dinner list. If you want to be on either or both Palo lists, just pm me your full names and SR numbers.

Noel

Well, I ordered lunch from across the street and when I left to go it was POURING out....I had to make a mad dash and my poor feet got soaked!

I should be focusing on work, but I am trying to nail down our last ADR for our May trip....such decisions!

I'm all up for meeting in December. We usually go to the MVMCP......

John and I will be at WDW from 12/20-29/2007 at the Dolphin.

Personally, I could just sit and watch McDreamy all night. :rolleyes1 It does crack me up because he played such a geek in his younger days (movies like Can't Buy Me Love) and here he is now a total stud in the media's eyes! :woohoo:

I had a button on the last cruise that said I was in bed with McDreamy, lol. Watch what you say on the thread, if someone is making Geek Fairy buttons. :rolleyes1

I have Can't Buy Me Love on my ipod.:cloud9: I thought he was cute way back when.....

Happy Mother's Day. And I'm so jealous about the Harrod's Tea. Have some Harrod's #14 for me. It's my absolutely most favorite tea in the whole world!

I heard the way you maximize Palo is befriend (now that will be hard to do ) other people sailing with you...you have them make a ressie one night and then you make it the next. So, if you befriend 15 others, you could potentially eat there every night...see I've got it all covered!!!! :lmao:

That's got to be a big bonus about being retired Carol!:cool1: That's part of the reason I left my job in the school, being tied to school holidays just didn't work for us!;):thumbsup2

So what exactly do you folks get for vacation?

wow sounds like everyone has a lot going on....!!

We'll be pretty boring unless of course we start breaking in the new mattress!! ;)

Sleeping?????:rolleyes1

OK, that makes four plus you that's 5 or 6 or more??? How many are you? Then we have to see how many you need to reserve the back table!?! Noel!?!

In case anyone did not see my post, we are requesting the reserving of the Palo private room for most sea days for brunch and dinner. If you have not already pm'd me, please send me a pm with your full names and SR numbers or GTY info. If you have a specific date or persons you would like to brunch or have dinner with, please let me know also. You can request brunch and dinner. The way the check is handled is that everyone gets their own bill and can tip accordingly.

Any questions, please pm me.

Also, for the main list, Lisa and I are trying to collect all the full names, ages and SR numbers for the gift exchange. Once GTY person get their cabin assignment, will they please PM Lisa. I will keep the master list for the gift exchange and if SR's change on boarding or before, pls either pm me or if on the ship, leave me a voice mail. I will be carrying my computer and printer so lists can be printed if needed.

Noel

Before I start PMing for the active disers on the list, let me make sure of what info we want.

1. Dis Name
2. First and Last names of all people in stateroom
3. Stateroom number or GTY
4. Gifting, yes or no
5. Fish extenders or other available
6. email addresses (someone mentioned we should get these)

Anything else we should add? What else do we need to know? We might as well get everything updated all at once.

How about ages of everyone. If people are shy about ages, they could put 30ish etc.

Private Palo Brunch or Dinner interest if so, pm me with info.

That was my plan all along! How could we not update the master of all planning?!!?!?!?

What a nice thing to say!!

One more thought, shall we add where people are from????

Noel

If people want to do High Tea, maybe we can start a list as we will have to coordinate dates when to request.

Just a thought.

Noel

:thumbsup2 We can then have "Our Big Fat Greek Cruise"!

:thumbsup2 There ya go...I did have a Big Fat Greek Wedding...(but no one spat on me...that is not a custom where my mom's family is from, it's really localized to a certain area), so a Big Fat Greek cruise sounds perfect...HAHA.

Deb (EllaEnchanted) - you must love Avgolemeno soup?!?! I love it and make it on cold days (just a simple version). For you non-greeks, "avgo" means eggs and "lemeno" is lemon. It's very yummy, I make mine with lemons, eggs, rice, chicken broth and chicken pieces....very yummy!

Karen, I always want to know more about wines. DH and I had our first date at a wine tasting in Southampton Long Island. And I married him. We both love wine. His tastes vary from sweet to dry. My taste is pure pucker. I grew up eating greek food and love lemon. As a child, I used to eat them like oranges. QUOTE]

I am a sour mouth also. Eating so many lemons as a kid (still love them) I have veneers on all six of my upper front teeth from loosing most of the surface enamel.

That's A LOT of lemons...What kind of wine do you like?

Gosh, there are so many!! White or red???

You're welcome!!

OK, now you're scaring me....I actually did put that on my list already!!! It's really that great minds thing!!!! :lmao:

Maybe someone can volunteer to keep a High Tea list.......personally, I'm listed out right now!
