I'm hoping THE Ohio State* does well too. I picked them to go to the Final Four.

But I also picked The Ducks to make it to the Elite Eight. But I just couldn't see them beating Florida to make it to the Final Four. Sorry to all the Duck worshipers here.

(* I had a boss who went to Ohio State. The first time I just said "Ohio State", I was very harshly corrected. I never forgot the "THE" after that. But I can't help but wonder, is there more than one Ohio State University?)

I rode a horse with bells on once.......................





....wasn't nekkid though, it was Christmas Eve....too cold for nekkid. Oh, and the bells were on the horse's 'toes'. Actually, it was quite fun, Christmas caroling on horseback. I think we had so many jingle bells on the horses, no one could hear us sing though.


Well, looks like I'm going to be late for work today, as I should have started getting ready a half hour ago. Guess I'll just goof off another half hour and work through lunch...sounds like a good plan to me!

There is "Ohio University" in Athens that out of stater's often confuse somehow with "The Ohio State University". OU are the Bobcats.

One of our local news channels had an interesting piece last night on the U.S. Passport problems. Here's a link. Looks like our senators are getting involved. I can't believe Senator Coleman had to hire a person just to deal with all the passport problems.

The Email I sent to the passport office got bounced back with some generic error message. I'm officially giving up and waiting for them to send it back for lack of fee payment. Good thing we've got 423 days before we need the passports.

I may have to leave the country very quickly when Dh gets home tonight!

He suggested (so his fault right?) that I visit the special Spring Sale at a dept store in town today to see if any of the dresses I liked were on sale.......oh dear! BIG mistake!

This is what I came home with.....

3 tops
1 pair of shorts
1 2-piece bathing costume
1 silk wrap
1 skirt........

oops!!! (no shoes tho!) made myself stop there......

I also find the Miami University (a.k.a. Miami of Ohio) and University of Miami confusion interesting too. I picture a high school kid getting ready to go to Miami University and then finding out it's in Ohio.

I have to approach John tonight or tomorrow about my thought about the Dec 2nd Wonder cruise this year. I sort of asked my TA for some info and she provisionally booked it, as they do!! I have spent some days buying choc muffins, his favourite choc biscuits, making mashed potato, custard etc,lmao: ) and also asking for money of everyone for my birthday, but I still hesitate about mentioning it! I am hoping to use the fact that being Castaway Club members for our 2008 cruise would be a GOOD thing!!

You'll all be the first to know if he agrees!!! We are already over there and wondering how to spend those 3 or 4 days anyway. I worked out it would cost us abour £400 more than hanging around Orlando, but we would have to do things there such as go to Seaworld or drive out to places, or shop. Now, that may be just the thing to persuade him!!!!

So, the plan is I'll compile the list and Noel will bring it with her (on her computer) to the ship. If you have a cabin change once onboard (or prior), you'll leave her a voice mail in her stateroom with the new cabin number, so she'll maintain the list from that point on. She'll also have a printer so that when the time comes for delivery, those doing the delivery can actually get the items to you.

Also please indicate the names of those in your cabin in case anyone is preparing personalized gifts or wanting to give enough gifts for all those in your cabin. you are right you clock is counting down to midnight of may 9th now for those of us who must know this kind of thing from 1pm eastern daylight savings time today "until cast off lines for the cruise" (5pm edst) its only 36,475,200. seconds or if you prefer 607,920 minutes

Thanks for doing this. Is it possible to have the list in excel so you can send to me so I can import it into the mini-navigator? That makes it really easy for me to put in and I don't have to manually re-type everything!

Everyone's disboard name, real names, and cabin numbers will be in the back of the mini-navigator along with events and special occasions while we are on board. Please don't PM me with the birthdays and stuff yet. I have 4 cruises before this one that I do the mini-navigators on and I don't want to overload my mind trying to figure out which cruise I am working on!

Speaking of the mini-navigator, guess I better get working on the EB Med version for May 12, 2007! YIPPEE!

Great outfits!! I am not going to buy ANYTHING til I get closer to the cruise because I want to LOOSE MORE weight!!!

I know the weather stinks, but Miami of Ohio is actually a great university, and not very easy to get into if you are from out of state. I would have loved to have gone there, and Alex liked it too. It is probably the most prestigious academically (Just like The Ohio State U is better known for athletics). Great School!
