I'm dying to go there also...is there one at the airport?

OK, who is gonna babysit so we all can have date night at the Melting Pot?????

We have one here....been dying to go!!

Although I have two BRAND new fondue pots, we can send all the kids to teh play room and have our own melting pot!!!:rotfl:

We had lunch at Chili's on Saturday. Does that count?

Woody

Perhaps.....IF I'd actually made it to Chili's tonight. :sad2: Peg called and wanted to go to Chicago Gyros...so that's where I ended up going.

I have PROUD TECKIE moment. I actually downloaded pictures from my camera for the first time. Downloaded some from a disk into my files and then uploaded other pictures onto that disc for mailing to friends. (OK so I may have mixed up my upload and download terms...but you know what I mean.) I'm feeling a little smug at the moment. :snooty:

LOVE IT!! You and John really have a lot in common....but let me ask you, did you like running?

I can't tell you how much I loved running.

For several years, I absolutely lived for it. I would run every evening, had a set route, pretty much across town from where I lived, and it was one of the best times of my life being able to do that. Always put me in a great frame of mind too. I was in the best shape of my life at that time.

Two things killed it for me . . . Law School - who has time to run with all that studying (I used to spend about 3 hours a day at the library studying) and playing football with those same buddies. My first year of Law school, I was playing football with those guys and got tackled by one of the biggest of them. I went one way, and my knee went the other. That is how I lost the ACL, MCL, and meniscus in my right knee. I was on crutches for several weeks, and after that running was not the same - my knee can't take it!

That is also why I am now very happy with this elliptical machine. Most of the fun of running without the banging stress on my knee. The only thing I really miss is the terrain, and being outside. The old basement just isn't as nice as being out in the open air.

I did 20 minutes tonight again, and was hungry all day to do it. I got in the door at home from work and told Amy to hold my dinner until I was done. Once you get started again (at least for me) your body starts to crave the exercise.

Oh, and forgot to add, the best dreams I have now (well, maybe second best) are dreams where I am running. Yeah, I dream about being able to run again like I used to.

Or just click on the little blue check at the front of the thread name and it takes you where you left off. Nothing to save, the DIS saves it for you!

I just love the little blue checks.:lmao:

When I tried it, I was taken to the last post on the thread, not the last post I had read. Did I do something wrong? (Glad I had left the thread open in another window. You guys were CHATTY this afternoon.)

Jan :earsgirl:

Don't worry, you can talking to us. Lots of people don't use sign langauges and be nervous to speak to us. We are nervous to meet people too. We are trying to our best.:thumbsup2

Scottishwee35

I'm sorry, I know someone asked this already. Do you read lips? Or shall we just say hello with a smile and a big hug? :grouphug:

It does the same thing for me too Jan, so it doesn't do me much good. :confused3

I'm ready too. I am getting my clothes ready...tried on some summer stuff. Made sure all the plane/transfers are done. Now I'm just counting down to excursion date. Then it'll be right around the corner. Thats the way it was on the med. Took forever to get to 3 months then it just flew by, and then the trip was over :( and back to reality!

ok finally found the picture of the lanyards we had on the December cruise

lanyard.jpg

I like these!!!

still NO PEDEGG!!!

Sandpaper woman!!! Use Sandpaper until the sucker comes!!!

Now that's not a bad idea Deb. And I like their food. I wonder how busy it would be? If we hit it right - before a busy time, it could work great. Any other ideas? Ghiardelli's (SP?) would be great too, but not as much seating as Wolfgang.

I think dessert at Ghiardellis would be good....

How about Ragland Rd. It's pretty big... maybe they could fit us...
so does this feel close to anyone besides me - or is it just because I am packing?

I hope to have all the essentials in my cruise box - including a SPARE TIE!

As she says with a straight face...

"YOU PACKED A TIRE???"

I'm dying to go there also...is there one at the airport?

Nope, it is on W Sand lake Road, but I figure that since I am planning on doing some shopping, we will probably be around that area at some time.

Ok I am not really packing, just getting prepared...

yeah....

that's it!

Oh, yeah, right, lol.

Maybe we can go early and bribe our kids with something or go really late and let them sleep while we dine.

Or maybe we can just go for dessert and I bet the kids will love trying the marshmallows, brownies, etc. with the chocolate fondues.

We don´t have the Melting Pot in Mexico and last month dh and I went to the one in San Antonio and loved it.

My MIL will probably go to Acapulco on the day that we stop there and I am seriously considering switching dirty laundry for clean clothes, but somehow I think people will look funny at us if we disembark with a couple of suitcases in Acapulco :rotfl2: , but this might be better than doing :laundy:

I SO WANT THAT TINK HEAD!!! Can someone scan it in for me????

...

I think all the hostess will get that .... part of four "peter pan" masks, so perhaps one of our hostess/cruisemates can scan it for you (I'll try and remember to ask Cheri next weekend).

OK, anything you want added to the Repo Calendar for the month of May 2008, just post here or PM me and I will update that, keeps it all in one place. You can get to the calendar on the Shipboard page of the website, click on the iCal icon at the top of the page, or here in my signature. When you get to the calendar page, click on the activity and a pop up box will appear with all the details that are available at that time.

Pj

PJ, for the Hyatt dinner, would you change the time till a bit later? It's actually TBA, but I don't want to scare people with that 5PM time...we wouldn't be meeting that early.

We ate at the Outback last time but I'm pretty sure it was past security so unless you have a boarding pass for an airline in that terminal you wouldn't all be able to meet there. Unless there's more than one?

Ah, that may be why I didn't see it on the MCO site....I was only looking at 'terminal' restaurants.

ok, Tebow and I are it....everyone else is out. I am flipping between 16 Blocks and Pulp Fiction - I have NEVER seen teh ending to PF....which everyone says it finally ties it all together.

I think that TINK is a mask, there are supposed to be four Peter Pan masks....but people have been reporting different items so who knows.
