I am an Ebay addict....

my wonderful sewer who has done countless custom bows, flip flops and dresses for this trip is moving overseas!! I am not sure if she is going to continue while she is there.

If anyone is interested in pillowcase dresses and bows she does a great job. She has Hannah fabric, potc and even ariel, minnie dot, etc.

it's due to your nightly menus, that I have gotten in the habit of cooking. Something that I lost track of last summer. It's better for me (calorie wise) and cheaper than fast food.
So here's my menu tonight....Rib Roast with a horseradish, garlic paste. Broccoli and baked potato. For all you calorie counters...the meat at 3oz is 150cal, brocc is about 25 (I'm using 0 cal butter flavor) and potato is about 60 cal. So total dinner for me about 300cal.
Anyways, thanks for the inspiration..even though you didn't know it. I have been trying to lose weight before this cruise and have been successful so this is just helping to keep it off.
AND..the plus side is my daughter has started to open up at the table. Tell me about her day, school etc. Something she rarely did as I an too uncool to her.

well aside from my review, kind of a rough day....well just alot of brain power used!! One of our bond insurers was downgraded from AAA to AA. Our other one may be soon as well. Not a great thing by any means. But hey, what can you do. Looks like everyone is hurting across the board.

We aren't sure yet when we get in, we are using DCL bulk air and they don't send that out until about two weeks or so before. The last time we flew in we got there around 9 AM. We ate at one restaurant in the airport the first cruise we went on but can't remember the name. We've only eaten breakfast in the Hyatt. So, that said, name the place and time and we will be there.

and it's more expensive than Chili's.

Does anybody know which restaurant might be best able to handle a group?

At Chili's there are a lot of booths and not a lot of tables so it may be that there we would have to be in a "section" and move around and mingle depending on how many of us there are.

We will be staying the night before at the Residence Inn at Cape Canaveral - are there many people staying there?

We arrive the morning of the 9th, and will rent a car from MCO to the hotel. We were planning on going to the Kennedy Space Center that day, but we have changed our mind and will now be spending the day relaxing and maybe hitting the pools.

Now, about dinner at Grills that is planned for the 9th? Is this a good restaurant for kids? What are the details. Thanks in advance.

We are at the Radisson but were going to stay at the Residence Inn but went with the Radisson for now.

Grills at 5:30pm sounds ok will have to see how it works out as it gets closer though!

I was just wondering what if any nick names people use ( or don't)

I tend to shorten names if there are short ones that are common, but I know that not all people like that.

I was always Nan when I was little. In junior high I thought it sounded TOOOO tomboyish (ok, that was me regardless of my name ) so in an effort to be more feminine I used my middle name (Robin) for all of junior high. Yup my yearbook reads Robin. In high school I moved back to my full first name, Nanette. That stuck until I started working for myself 1996, then I was too busy and went back to Nan been there ever since (although, DH would rather call me Nanette)

long winded as usual. You can just call me babbermouth.

I know what you're talking about Nan....I changed names too. Before I got married I used Debbie with a short maiden name. Then I got married and got a long last name so I shortened the first name and just use Deb now. Also, my initials with my maiden name spell my name DEB so that's what I use for my signature with my married last name. It can be confusing to some, but it works for me.

Before when you asked Deb if she was going to the Kennedy Space Center, I answered automatically.....then realized that you weren't asking me. I have to get used to that.

Ok, so here's a BIG bummer...when we sailed the magic last our friends had 2612 and 2610 and those rooms did not have steamer trunk because there's not a niche in the room for it (don't know why). So, this sailing we're in 2112 and I asked the agent if the room was configured the same as 2612 and she checked...sure enough...it is configured the same and it does not have a steamer trunk. How will we make it for two weeks without a steamer trunk!?!? UGH! I'm so not happy about that! Anyone got suggestions on a good plan for where we're going to put all our clothes for 4 people, aside from the small closet??

Stop at Walmart and get a lg rubbermaid tote to bring with you?

I'm sure you just luv all of us butting in with opinions regarding Tyler (so feel free to ignore absolutely everything that follows ) BUT...Have you mentioned how tired Tyler is to his Dr.? I'm sure you probably already have. I've read that some ADHD is caused by sleep problems (apnea, etc.). The poor kids are just so darned tired and their brains are trying to keep them alert & focused and just go into overdrive. Just a thought (Again, please feel free to ignore unsolicited advice ).

No, I haven't mentioned how tired he is because I still think the amount he sleeps is in the normal range for his age. Just about everything I read from every place I find info says up to 12 hours and that's exactly what he sleeps. The extra, like these past few days with 2-4 hour naps, usually coincides with a growth spurt. Last time he slept this much he grew about 4 inches!!!!! And his other problems have been around since he was about 2 1/2. So I think he's OK in the sleep area. Thanks a bunch!

One thing that worries me is that he keeps telling me occasionally that his hand feels like it's vibrating. I don't feel anything when I hold it, but today at Walmart he told me it happens so often now that it drives him nuts and that now his foot is doing that. I've never heard of that. Unless it's that pins & needles feeling we get when a body part falls asleep and re-wakes. But I guess even that would be strange to happen so often...often enough that it bugs him so much. So I guess I'll call and ask his pediatrician what she thinks.

Anybody here have any experience with kids having that type of feeling in their hands and feet? Maybe just poor circulation, but that shouldn't be a problem for a little kid.

Ohio State John!!

Don't know if you follow football recruiting all that intensely or not, but the #1 rated high school player (Terrel Pryor) is down to a few schools. TP is a spread-option style quarterback and at one time he had Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Penn State, and Oregon as his finalists. He just officially tripped Michigan this past weekend and apparently has been to tOSU many times. Sounds like he is now choosing between UM, tOSU, Oregon, and a late push from LSU.

This coming weekend he will be taking an official visit to Oregon. With the success Dennis Dixon had this past year, we are hoping he will be enamored with our facilities and our offense. Am not ashamed to say that it may also be helpful to have Phil Knight and Nike in our back pocket (no illegal recruiting aid though)! Being that he is also a 5 star basketball recruit, this will be the perfect weekend for him to visit. We have UCLA and USC visiting. One of the oldest and loudest basketball arena's will be jumping. The Pit will be the place to be!

As rabid college football fans, this is huge, huge, huge. Players of this level usually don't find their way to Oregon (with the exception of Jonathon Stewart). He could be the answer to the missing link we have had to becoming a realistic power and contender for the National Championship. Will be sitting on the edge of our seats until signing day on February 6th.
