Well our family is cruising with you on this wonderful Panama cruise. We are so excited. I regret however that I have not been able to keep up with this thread. It is a lot different from others I have been on. Not too much cruise talk, and vacation planning going on. We have been really busy getting rental car and hotels lately. I would love to hear from others as to what your plans are. We will be flying in on the 9th. Overnighting at the Sheraton in the Coco Becah Surf company, and then boarding early. After this cruise we are renting from Avis .2 miles from the port, then heading straight to DL for 2 days. Then on to Malibu. Vegas, and finally 1 day in Sonoma and 1 day at pier 39/Alcatraz in San Fran. Then sadly flying home. This will be a wonderful 24 day vacation for us. We are so ready. I went and bought new Mickey luggage, and am getting ready to make the Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot luggage tags. We have designed our door signs and such. I will hopefully be able to print them soon.
I just had a minute to check in and thought I would grab it. I am sorry that I do not get to post much. I try to catch up each day at some point, but I am lost. I see something about lanyards...but again....lost![]()
I do know what geocaching is, and always thought it would be fun to do. Not sure if I want to try it for the first time in a foreign port though . . .
Angie - someone hides a "prize" and provides coordinates based on satelite GPS information. You use your own GPS to find the prize (even though you have location, it is often hidden) and either replace it, or add a prize for the next person to find. Kind of like a scavenger hunt of the tech age.
We did have a great trip. One month in a motorhome with a 12th grader and an 8th grader. They were good travelers.
Some of the sites to see were planned and some spontaneous. We had wanted to go to Crater Lake but the highway to it was socked in with fog so travel was prohibited. We went to the Aquarium instead because it also dawned on us we had seen a lot of geology and no zoology.
I think at Mt St. Helen's were went only to that Ranger Station because the look-outs were not built yet. I don't think the roads were built yet, it was all so new.

Vanessa,
Angie wanted me to let you know that the water dish was frozen this morning, solid, and she had to put her sweatshirt on. There is not a brass monkey in site. I think it is about 15 degrees or so. Feels like minus 20.

I bought the passport at a craft store in the scrapbooking section. Fits the pocket of the Speedway lanyard perfectly!

THE GIANTS ARE IN THE SUPERBOWL!!!
I'm so shocked and elated!!! I did fall asleep, but then I woke up and rewound and watched and when they had to go into overtime, I knew it was over because they lost the coin toss. Then I watched them steal the ball back and have another chance at a field goal and just could not believe that they got it! Talk about a nail biter!
I know they don't have a chance going up against the partiots, but at least they're in the 'show' and they have a good chance to try. Now the superbowl is going to be twice as exciting to watch for me. I'm so excited, I still can't believe it! GO GIANTS!
Two more families join the ranks!

I'm sure after the 9th we will be recapping all the cruise activities etc. Some things are still in flux (like the laynards), some are for sure...but we're all kind of waiting for a final count after 'pay up' date.
Just jump right in with an questions or join in any conversation that's going on (usually several at a time). BE SURE an PM pjpoohbear to get access to the password protected site for all the cruise 'business'.
Nice type-o, Mister!

¡¡¡Feliz cumpleaños Venetia!!!
Hi Everyone!!! I'm so glad to see my sister has booted up her computer which was let out of the computer hospital!
Glad she's back with you - chatting again. She keeps me posted as to what you are all up to (well not while her computer was down!). I hope you are all well, and looking forward to your trip. My DH is going back to NY to visit his Mom this May - she's not been well. Then we'll get into planning for our Aug/Sept trip to England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales.
I'll miss you guys - but I know Jackie will delight me in all her stories of the trip. She's really looking forward to her time with you all.
Be safe, happy and blessed!
