Since they put you in a van with other people, how do they know how much to tell you when you book?? We were in a van with 3 other couples, none of them knew each other. So, did one person pay $39 and the rest less? At the airport they waited to get the van fairly full also before they took us to DL. This pricing makes no sense to me when they are putting strangers in the van together. Which one do they pick to pay the $39?? It has changed since we used them obviously.

I thought they made each each party pay $39 + I'll check some options with a few local calls.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be cooler than the 2007 Half Marathon, which was over 100 degrees! The 2006 event was in mid-September, and the weather was much better. I don't know why they moved it to Labor Day weekend.Woody

I can't imagine that it could be any worse than that day!!! That was a nightmare. I did the 5K the day before and it was really nice, but the next morning I went over to see several people from the repo cruise run and it was horrible. Then they all went into the parks for the day. I went home where it was 15 degrees cooler and still sweltering!

Wow! That's a great rate, when did you book that? I booked a direct, nonstop on American in June and our rate is $204! You did well!!!!

I booked about 2 weeks ago. the trick is to fly on a Tues. or Wed. nonstop.

I baked a turkey today. With stuffing, gravy, candied yams, cheesey veggies, and fresh baked rolls. It was DGS 5th birthday dinner with his mom and us. We also had ice cream cake. I am stuffed and I have a mess to clean up! I did the yams a bit different. I got some carmel sauce (instead of my usual brown sugar) and melted it with some butter then poured that over the yams, sprinkled them with pecans and them baked them awhile. They were very yummy.

I really want to hit BAB at DL, hoping they have some interesting disney outfits, maybe a mary poppins.

The last time we went to DL we went to BAB. They actually have an outfit that has a Disneyland shirt, Mickey or Minnie ears and a pair of Mickey gloves. Got the Mickey for Chewy (only one we had at the time) and would like to see if our daughter (who has annual passes) can get us a Minnie. Went to the one in Orlando but they didn't have anything for WDW. Would love to find one. Not sure which other outfits they had. I know the local stores only have Woody and his girlfriend, Buzz, Little Mermaid and a couple of the princesses.

easier? Are you insane? It might be nice on vacation but here it leads to cakes being made on the floor, hair being cut, etc all because the 'rents can't stay awake!

Well, that would suck! But I just mean the things we miss out on that I know he likes to do. Like today, the RV show is going on and he's gone with me 2 years in a row and always asks when we can go again. It bores me to death, but he just can't get enough. Anyway, it was going on until 8pm tonight and we could have gone when I picked him up from his dad's at 5, but I knew we'd have to rush home for dinner and start getting ready for bed because he'd crash soon. We had to quit doing his hockey class because he's just too tired by that time of the evening. His friend's mom invites us over for dinner at 7 because that's the earliest they can get dinner because of what time they work until, but a couple times he's fallen asleep before we even made it over to their house. Just frustrating because of the things he misses out on.

Buzz, jess, woody and the princess are on the BAB website, both the US and Canadian sites. They still haven't figured out that the Canadian dollar is almost par with the USD, they still have prices that are 50% hight, eek! I will wait until I can get one at DL and the chance for a special outfit.

What are everyone's plans for sunday?

Mom and I are heading to Williams-Sonoma for a cooking demonstration/class (free is for me) and then we will have lunch at Johnny Rocket's or Red Robin and then we are hitting the Mall. I have to return some items that I bought during their sale last week online (cruise wear) so out of 11 pairs of pants/capris/crops I ended up with 7 pair that fit Some will get made into Capri's from Crops, or Capri's from Pants but since most didn't cost more then $11 its not that bad a deal!

Then its onto Cabela's (does anyone else have one near by) I am going to bring my Camera and ask them if its ok i take photos (i always ask afraid of copyright infringement) if i get any i'll post them here for all to see!

I have Sun/Mon off so I am glad its my weekend!

At school though, they have 2 hour naps each day!! So makes for long week nights because they simply aren't tired. And the both of them are so afraid they are going to miss something!

I keep forgetting they're still in daycare...that makes a big difference because now that you mention naps, that's when our problems started. When he started school and was no longer able to take naps, he's completely worn out at the end of the day. On weekends he still takes a 2 hour nap and will still go to bed early.

SO.....good news for you! You'll get plenty of rest once both of your girls are in K and no longer able to take naps because they'll probably be exhausted by the end of the day too! Unless you have 1/2 day K of course, but I think you mentioned before that it's full-day.

oh I know what you mean....diets and V DO NOT MIX!! I love food! Especially carbs and everything that is bad for you.

Me too! And I love to cook. Mark commented that I haven't been myself and I explained it's because I hate dieting and food is so much of what we do...we entertain with friends and family and when you're dieting, it's not as much fun to diet. Not to mention, I've banned alcohol because that's a huge diet buster for me. So not happy right now but I will be in a few months after I've lost some weight. That's what I keep telling myself!

We have one about an hour away, but I've never been. But from what people have told me, it sounds a lot like Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. I went to the one in Grapevine, TX and it was AWESOME! I took tons of pics, but that was back in 1999 or 2000 before I had a digital camera. Have a great time!
