I realized that I never really introduced myself and figure I better so that you all can get to know me better!

I'm Amy :wave2: i'm turning *gulp* 26 on May 18th. I work full time for a Casino in Southeastern CT and I help moderate an online forum that also deals with Disney. I have been to Disney over 30 times so far my first trip was when i was 5. Since I have driven 18 times back and forth from CT I much prefer flying and we have camped at Disney and have stayed at all but 4 hotels on property. I did the College Program in 2001 for the summer. I worked at Typhoon Lagoon as a Quick Service Foods Cast Member. Now I look forward and dream about moving back to FL to be closer to the mouse and our favorite past time now cruising. While this will be our 2nd cruise we get so excited remembering our 1st and can't wait for this one!

My mom Angela is 52 and she started my addiction with Disney when i was just a baby we have home movies with my Mickey Ears on in my Johnny Jump up and my mom yelling at my grandfather to get the beer bottle away from me :lmao: She works full time for a software company and lets me do all the planning she is a more of a Plan it and I'll show up kind of person and Her only other addiction other then Disney, DCL is QVC. She probably ranks up there as being their #1 customer hence the 2 year span in cruises :lmao:

We are cruising with my mom's friend Gloria and her husband John this is their first DCL cruise but have cruised before. John's birthday is May 16th and Gloria works with my mom.

Sorry for my bad manners in not introducing me and my crew earlier. Will try to be a better DIS'er!

Now back to :surfweb: and hoping that Holly got my PM :hippie:

Amy, thank you for letting us get to know you a little better. We look forward to in person meeting. Your mom and I have a bit in common, both named Angela, both in our 50s and both with Disney addictions that we have passed on to our children! :)

Kelly,

I could host the lanyard tag file on the website. It would go with all the other logos and iron-on files, easy to grab and modify.

I would be happy to make a couple of options, any suggestions for information to be on the tag, pics, etc. Would love to see the photo from your previous cruise for a starting point.

Yes, I'll pull them out tomorrow morning and post them... Do we have a web site for this thread? where?

We are not signed up for the Minnie 5K, but have registered for the Disneyland Half Marathon on August 31.Woody

There is a big group of us, so we'll see you there.

I think it was about $15 per person last time Dennis and I took it from DL to LAX. They picked up folks from other hotels and had the van full. They were very efficient and got us there in no time.

I looked it up the other day and I think it is $39 for the first person then around $9 pp after that.

Um....isn't anybody worried about Bobby surviving a visit with Tyler?! 'Cuz I sure am! :rotfl:

Don't worry. :) Bobby has survived many a DISkid in the past. :lmao: In fact...it was John1's dd who saved Bobby from certain death on the first Geek cruise. Apparently he was losing air and she insisted that he be revived! :thumbsup2

Very cute! Well, since he's so eager for his arrival, probably the worst that will happen is that he'll squeeze the air out of him. ;)

these three are a hoot. John and the girls are each making a picture, they are now arguing over crayons.....

Since they put you in a van with other people, how do they know how much to tell you when you book?? We were in a van with 3 other couples, none of them knew each other. So, did one person pay $39 and the rest less? At the airport they waited to get the van fairly full also before they took us to DL. This pricing makes no sense to me when they are putting strangers in the van together. Which one do they pick to pay the $39?? :confused3 It has changed since we used them obviously. :confused3

Looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be cooler than the 2007 Half Marathon, which was over 100 degrees!

The 2006 event was in mid-September, and the weather was much better. I don't know why they moved it to Labor Day weekend.

John finally got home, we are having steaks and asparagus tonight...he needs to get the grill done before it starts pouring.

Sounds yummy...I've been dieting (which i HATE). We went to dinner and the boys and Mark had spaghetti and I, well I had a salad. So NOT fun, but I gotta shed before the cruise, so I just remind myself it's OK. :lmao:

oh I know what you mean....diets and V DO NOT MIX!! I love food! Especially carbs and everything that is bad for you.

well, it's better than being bedazzled!

Bedazzled Bobby... So that's why the banana dances....

Very cute! :goodvibes I sure wish I could get Tyler to stay up as late as your girls are able to. It sure would make life easier, especially on pirate night! He fell asleep in the shopping cart today at a little before 6pm. :guilty: We rushed home so he could have a quick dinner before completely crashing for the night. It's always a rush to get through dinner before he's out. :sad2:

easier? Are you insane? It might be nice on vacation but here it leads to cakes being made on the floor, hair being cut, etc all because the 'rents can't stay awake!

HEY VANESSA!!!! Have you seen those stick on jewels at WM? :) Those would work if Bobby wanted to dabble in being bedazzled.

Kelly could you also provide dimensions for the tag inserts?
