MAC question....which I guess isn't totally a mac question....but.....
does anyone know if there is a good program out there that will take the DVDs you already own and transfer them into a iPod compatible version? We have tons of movies on DVD and I hate the idea of having to buy them from iTunes to put on the girls' iPods.

OOO! I need the answer too! I got the 160gb for Christmas and most of the stuff I own isn't even on iTunes for sale (lot of indie and horror). So I would love to be able to transfer what I already own.

I just called them to see about the two week charge (if there was a difference) their May calendar isn't up yet, but he seemed to think it would be the week charge. So for the combo $122.50.
On the 2005 PC cruises, it was a one-week charge for a two-week cruise.

The transfering of movies to the ipod depend entirely on what kind of computer you are using on Macs Handbrake is great for most DVDs. (do a google search and it will come up.) There is also a program called Popcorn 3 for the Mac side.

For Windows, there are several free programs online, search for DVD to ipod format windows, that should bring up several. Or you can purchase a program called InterVideo iVideoToGo Platinum, sold by Corel.

I'm the co-mod (I'll email her and get myself changed to the owner/mod) on their yahoo group (little ship of little thieves) so I have all the contact info. Nothing has been on with them in a longggg time. We can kick it off again after paid in full date. If your daughter wants on, pm me with her/your email and I'll add you.

What do you have in mind to do with the kids, I'm happy to co-coordinate with ya.

I checked out the yahoo site and found that I can't add people, so I've contacted Cindy (the owner who isn't cruising) and asked her to change me to the owner. As I change I'll advise when we are good to go.

That is what we thought too--Two Mannings in the Super Bowl. But, now we are cheering for the Giants!!

Holly: I sent you an e-mail. I need an address to get Bobby on his way.

John: Bobby's passport asks for

All of our banana stickers are printed in South and Central America where bananas are grown, harvested, stickered and packed. In addition, stickers (both the regular DOLE logo and those used for special promotions) are ordered to equal the quantity of product that we expect to harvest. Therefore, we do not have extra stickers available to fulfill special requests.

I can get a photo in it, but need some info for these categories before laminating it and getting it all off to Holly. Assistance is requested!!!

Somewhere in Central America I suspect....I vote Columbia....the jungles....but that is just from my time with him, he spoke in a heavy Spanish accent, and while he dreamed he cried out in Spanish...I should have had the kids translate for me. I'll ask if they recall what he said.... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks PJ (I knew either you or John would have the answer!). Since we are still with windoze I'll look at the Corel program. I saw a bunch of free ones before, but I got nervous about downloading those types of programs to my PC...virus worries :scared1:

But - musical theatre is really my forte. We have a GREAT arts/theatre area here in Sarasota. I hope in the future I will have the opportunity to audition and perform in something so John and my girls get to see me do something I love tremendously. One day.....one day.....!:thumbsup2

I'm thinking V and karaoke night on the Magic. Do they have that? I think we'd all be there to hear/see that. Anymore singers out there?

Hey, if Bobby wants a preview of Mexico, we can take him with us to Ziehuatenejo in March. We aren't stopping there on the cruise but it is still beautiful. Not so sure he wants to be around 8 couples hanging out on the beach for days without any kids around though!!!!

I'm hoping for TK and Rachel

We're TK and Rachel fans, too. I have to say I wouldn't mind seeing any of the final three win, however. The whole family was cheering last night when Jenn and Nate (??-see I've already blocked them out of my mind LOL) were eliminated. What a toxic couple.

Hello,
We are first time cruisers. We made our final payment last week. We're very excited.

There are three of us, DW, Heather, DS, Cameron (10) and myself Joe. Is there a master of list of cruisers? We are in SoCal, just north of LA, and were wondering if there are others from our area planning to be on board.

We have several questions that we will post at a later time.

Thank you,
Joe

Welcome. We also have a DS10 and DS7. There are tons of people from your area on this cruise. Unfortunately, we're stuck in the midwest with no one close by for a pre-cruise meet. Anyone from Iowa out there???.......Anyone???......Bueller????

he might end up in a pina colada....:scared1:  or worse, but I can't tell about that since this is a family board :rolleyes1

OK, I'm packing it in for tonight. I had to skip about 30 pages of posts, but I'm just too far behind. You guys have gotten so chatty as the 90-day mark gets closer. I just need to make sure I check in every night to keep up.:thumbsup2

Later.

I only kareokee when I've have a few DOD's...and even worse than sober!

Oh Holly...where are you?! We are talking about singing again after a few drinks:lmao: Wasn't it us talking about scaring everyone away while singing at the bar?!

:upsidedow I might have to admit I couldn't guarentee his safety from such events:rolleyes1 Maybe I would be a bad chaperone

All I know is I have to get a picture of bobby and taylor together for her scrapbook.

So I have some goals for this cruise....I plan to make all the parties! I didn't get up to the sailaway...at dinner too later. Missed Pirate night...was sick and missed the midnight buffet...just plain old tired.

Also, anyone out there like to go to the adult bar after 10pm. They have games and music. I like going down there..I won a couple games last time (hint..i'm a good partner). I need company, just can't go on my own. So if anyone is a late bird like me, just let me know.
My dd loves to hang in kids club until midnight, so it's all good.

Night All..
Steph

Thanks - do you have any idea how long these programs take to transfer say a 90 minute movie?

Welcome to the group. There are a few excursions and events in the planning phase. Most of the coordinators are on the east/mid west, so just come back tomorrow and I'm sure your q's will be answered. There's a group website too, you need the password. I believe pjpoohbear has that info. Everyone is really friendly, I'm sure you'll get the info. Just watch out..we're a chatty group!:rotfl2:

Welcome! I am cruising with myself, my DH and my 2 DD's....Jaide (9) and Taylor (6). I don't know many details of group excursions, but I am sure you will have lots of information by midday tomorrow!

I'm with ya babe. My kids can hang out all night in the club and when it closes I send them home with their father. Then I'm released to play. I'm often up until 2 or 3 am, playing games on the ship would be my nirvana. And I'll be your partner (if we can win....)
