Holly, there are some wonderful medications that work well for the diagnosis. I refer patients all the time to Psychiatrists for this very reason. They only spend five minutes with them, but I continue with their cases until they don't need to see me anymore.
Thanks so much! It's still questionable whether I can get his dad to agree to meds. I'm all for trying anything and everything. Things are definitely looking up and I'm so glad I convinced him to get things started. He was so much in denial that anything was going on until now. It's nice to be on the right path finally. :goodvibes

Holly - how fabulous that the dr was able to diagnose Tyler! Finally a concrete "thing" to be able to sink your teeth into! Hope your ex continues to be willing to work for Tyler!
:yay: :yay: :yay:

We did John's birthday and now I can tell you his gifts.....he got SeanJohn's Unforgivable because I LOVE the smell of it. I got a free sample of the woman's when I bought the men's. I keep smelling my wrists all day long because I love it. I thought we could have matching scents for our dress up nights onboard. Can you say......OCD on the coordinating thing......YES, but it works for me. Then he got tickets to a theatre show......Stomp.....it's playing locally and he said he loved shows like that. So we're going next Sat night and I get to enjoy that one with him. That was a surprise! Then he got his favorite.....two dragons to put one on each side of his truck. He's been drooling over them for some time and had forgotten about them.....BIG SURPRISE. They really are nice.....here's a pic:

That's it! He was very happy....then we had champagne and cake! A nice little celebration at home. The kid was there with us too. My bro called and John said that Sandi called him today at work and he spoke to the boys too. All's well that ends well! It was a nice birthday for John.

You all went out of your way to post some very happy birthday greetings. Thanks for all of those, you were all very thoughtful. I loved them. He didn't get a chance to get online today at work, so he's reading them all right now....I'm sure he'll post a thank you when he is done.

Well Deb, it sounds like a great birthday celebration for John! :goodvibes

And John: HAPPY BIRTHDAY (belated)!!!!! :yay: I hope you enjoyed your day! Sure sounds nice! :thumbsup2

Holly - What are your plans for this week-end? We are going to see "Water Horse" this afternoon.

Re my hair....

I'd been growing it out for the last year + after I heard about Locks for Love. It is an organization that accepts donated hair and then transforms that hair into wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to cancer or another illness.

If you donate under 10 inches they will sell your hair and use the $. If you donate 10 inches or more, they will use your hair for the wigs.

I figured it's only hair, and if I don't like it this short, it'll grow back. I've actually had my hair this short before, but it's been years! It will take some getting used to again!

It will be weird to wash it and have so much less to wash, and the drying! It'll take no time now!

Ah I see

You are good heart for help donate to cancer.

If you don't like it as it always grow back anyway. But short hair suit you and quickly wash and dryer than long hair.

We don't have much luck uploading or downloading here.....dial up! :headache: But, who knows maybe by cruise time we will be in Montana where they actually have high speed internet!! :dance3: Speaking of, someone wants to come see the house around 2 tomorrow. :thumbsup2 Looking for some Pixie Dust! :woohoo:
Oooh! Good luck with the house!

You should definetely DO the cliff divers. They train from about the age of 5. They have to be very precise when they dive or they could be die if they are off a little.

You mean I do the cliff driver :scared1: No way for me I am scared and I think I am too heavy for cliff driver:rotfl2: Maybe my husband and daughter would do it but not me

HOWDY everybody! Finally dragged myself out of bed and up to school to suck up some of their wireless internet and get my DIS fix! ;) This will probably be my only chance for the weekend to get on here, unless I can drag Tyler to the library.

Monica, I love your new hair! Looks great! :thumbsup2

Oh no something wrong with your wireless internet? Have you phoned the engineer?

I did last week for wireless internet was not working and the engineer explained me over the typetalk phone and now it is working.

Poor you as I know you love the computer or wireless internet. I bet you miss it very much.

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

No plans this weekend. We'll just sort of wing it. Let me know how "Water Horse" is.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the poker group on the ship. My husband is very interested. I PM'd disneycruising a while ago, but have not heard a response.
Thanks.

No, I had to cancel cable and internet to cut costs. But I don't think I'll last much longer without it because now I'm not able to look for jobs online or research fun things to do on the weekends, etc. And the learning program Tyler's Kindergarten uses is on the internet, so he's not able to practice there.

Probably after my next payday I'll get internet again, but I'm trying to think of the cheapest way. I can't use dial-up internet because I don't have a home phone since I only use cell phone to eliminate having 2 phone bills. I don't want to re-connect the cable internet because then I have to have the cable tv service, which I don't want because we don't watch enough tv to be worth the expense. Everything we watch is on local channels that I can get for free. My friend hooks her cell phone up to her computer and gets online that way, but I'm not sure how. Yes, I can access the internet on my cell phone, but I want to do it on my computer.

This might sound simple, but I'm very technologically challenged! :rotfl2:

:grouphug: Thanks for all the prayers.

Happy Birthday John!!!!!(sorry its late).

I had a long day and came home to a kitten at my back door. I went out to see it and it was very skinny. DH and I brought it in (its in the bathroom). We will take it to the vet tomarrow. Our cats hate intruders and know one is in the house!!! It was really weird, the mom cat was with it and dopped it off, watched us take it in and walked away!!!!
Well, I hope this doesn't sound crazy, but cats are very intuitive and the mom probably knew her kitten needed help and knew that you'd take care of it for her. I'll bet that mom shows up in a few days to check on her kitten.

I haven't heard anything, but I have no doubt that somebody will have an answer for you. :thumbsup2

Holly, when was your DATE?
We haven't set one yet because he travels so much for work. And now with his daughter living with him, that limits us even more. He was supposed to get back from Florida yesterday and we were going to try to plan something, but it was to depend on whether the daughter would be willing to spend another night with her mom (or whether the mom was willing to keep her) so we could get together. I didn't hear from him and that's a good thing because I was completely exhausted by the end of the week. People at work told me I looked horrible. I used to think I was always this tired because of handling work, Tyler AND my school & studying non-stop, but now I don't have school and am still just as tired. A co-worker told me it's stress that's wearing me down. I don't feel stressed, but she insists. :confused3

Oh well.....before I know it, I'll have 15 DAYS to relax on this cruise! :yay:

 By the way, I just realized that I was thinking final payment was due on 2/10, but my TA's receipt said 1/31/08, so if you're not paid off and you have a TA check your date!
Don't worry, DCL sets the final pay date. I had the same concern because my All Seasons invoice said 1/31 as the due date, and I assumed they couldn't make me pay up before DCL says it's due, so I called and asked why it says that. The TA told me DCL does indeed require final payment by 2/10 and the TA just says it's due 1/31 to give you some wiggle room.

Ok for all Mac users I have put together a iCal for the cruise events, both DCL and DIS. The link is on the shipboard page of the website, click on the icon, and once on the iCal website you can subscribe and then upload to your ipod or other device. The iCal will update each time we/I add events to the calendar.

Windows/outlook users there are ways to add an ical file to an outlook calendar, but I no longer know windows well enough to explain it, hopefully someone here will be able to make it easy, which will enable you to add it to your palm style devices, if you use them. You can always print the web-page out and bring that with you onto the ship.
