It was out for about a year, then it got packed away for a long while and now it's out again. I think it's one of those things that I like to see out so it can stay out. It's on a sofa table in the living room. I really love those classes all the stuff ready for you to work. It's hard for me to do it at home too. But I'm inspired this year, fingers crossed I'll get it done.

I haven't posted my good wishes for you, but I've been cheering and praying you on from the sidelines. I'll take this time to tell you keep it up! And congrats. When you're feeling down and you need a friend to call, come to the DIS we're here for ya!

Thanks Nan, I know you are there for us too, I feel the vibe!!!

Too fun. I was going to ask you what they are, but John sometimes posts so I know we have to wait just like him :rolleyes1 But tell us as soon as they get opened okay!!!! We're nosey!!!!

You bet.....I just wrapped one of them and wrote out his card. His son will wrap his other two gifts and do a card for him and then that's it! He will pick up his cake and dinner on his way home tomorrow. Then we'll celebrate and sing and eat and open presents! I'll let you all know as soon as he unwraps and finds out. I can't tell you now because he lurkes around here and reads everything!

I just want to take a minute and thank everyone for their positive and kind wishes for me and John with our not smoking. Yesterday I had a hard time with it....after taking Ray to the moseleum I felt stressed and really really wanted to reach for a cigarette....since I was already out and about, it would have been easy to stop and pick up a pack. BUT I went home and had my cheerios and read all of your well wishes and support and I was able to overcome it. I just want you to know how important you all are in this process and why this time is going to be successful unlike other times. It's because of you all.....I just don't want to disappoint anyone here and that keeps me honest. Thanks everyone. Your support means the difference of my being a smoker or being a non-smoker. I couldn't do it without all of you and especially Angie. Thanks so much.

Good for you, Deb!! That is really a milestone and you should know now that you can get thru anything.

keep it up Deb....you'll have it kicked before you know it.

2pm already, at least today is going a little better thatn yesterday. I asked Haley what kind of "party" she wanted and she said a Barbie Island Princess one....oh my! I can't believe she is three! She's so tiny, I was sitting indian style on the floor to program the remote last night and she comes over and sits herself down on my knee.....not in my nap but just on the edge of my knee. She hardly took up any room at all!

Super busy at work today, no time to post or even read any posts after I was on last night. Stopping to say HI and that Tyler's diagnosis we were given is ADHD with OCD. The licking is from the OCD. Gross. We go back a week from today (that's when Tyler starts going) and he'll have weekly appointments. I promise to share details tonight if I get a chance to find a place to get online, but going out for a drink after work with co-workers.

When we were at DCA last May, my 15 year old daughter and her friend did TOT 13 times in a row! I stayed outside and took pictures everytime as they ran off and ran back on to go again! They completed 13 trips in just a little over 2 hours!

I managed twice in a row and that was it! 2 hours wasn't bad going was it?

Deb - :thumbsup2

Holly - It's a start! At least now you have a direction in which to go with Tyler.

Holly - at least you know something now. Are they going to give him any medication or anything? (I am not sure if these are medicated things or not)

I read on the other repo thread, people asking about a budget for this cruise...I really have no idea where to begin. I am not sure how much we need to have. I really am going to try and not get sucked in to shutters, because as I said - most all my pictures are in a drawer.

Well you are on the way now Holly. Enjoy your after work drink.

I can't even begin to figure out a budget for myself. I am taking my daughter and son in my cabin and I have a second stateroom reserved for a nanny. I have no idea who that will be yet though. I have been talking with a few girls I know and trust but nothing is final yet.

So lets see biggest costs for me will be new suitcases all around, then new clothes. I remember my grandmother telling me that when you travel you must always bring your finest clothes to be presentable. Times have changed but I still find myself buying all new clothes for vacation each time. I figure I can buy all new summer stuff for the cruise then we will wear it this summer so I am not really spending any extra. At least that is what I am telling myself :rotfl2: Then there are the goodie baskets for the stateroom and all the little goodies to sprinkle pixie dust throughout the cruise.

I have no worries about onboard spending really. I do not drink but once in a blue moon. The only drinking I may do onboard is palo and the Champagne girls meet. As far as Shutters go I will buy what I love and nothing else. I plan on carrying my camera with me everywhere to try and get a lot of shots myself. I bought a new Sony that is super small and I can hang it from a lanyard around my neck. So buying a nice camera SAVED me money in the long run from Shutters :rotfl: I can really warp anything if I try! As far as buying merchandise in the stores well we go to Disneyland 5 or 6 times a year at least. My kids have so much Disney stuff they do not really ask for much, so I think we will spend very little there as well. Maybe just a few Castaway and DCL beach towels.

That is great they were able to give you a diagnosis for your son. Knowing is the first step to helping him. I wish you much progress in the coming sessions.

Holly, what a great thing to finally have a diagnosis. DGSon Kris has ADHD and he's been on meds for it since he was little. I don't care what anyone says about meds for an illness for a child not being a good thing. I disagree. I think it depends on whether the kid really needs it or not. It can change the quality of their lives. Don't you want to give them that opportunity? I can tell within 5 mins of being with Kris whether he took his meds or not. I like him a lot better when he takes them.

I don't know much about the OCD except what it is by name. I don't know if meds can help, but I'm sure the psyche visits will.

Thank goodness we have made some progress with our Tyler, knowing is half the battle, now we can proceed to correct.....and thank every goodness it is something we can fix and not something overly serious.

Have a great night out tonight Holly. Can't wait to hear about the stepmom sitting in the waiting room.......keep us posted.

The Palo Service Team will get $5 of this fee while $10 will go towards maintaining and enhancing the venue.

Well, I'm glad they spelled that out. Now that I know they are getting $5, I can go from there on what additional I want to give.

....back to ketchup.....

BTW...

About the bathing suit from Victoria's Secret...

Right now the only thing I can fit into at VS...is SHOWER GEL!!! :lmao:
:rotfl: Me too!!

I did get that swimsuit last year. Actually like it quite a bit. Think my husband was even "nice" enough to post a picture of me in it on here at some point (to say the least I wasn't too thrilled he did that!).

Our daughter Jenna's birthday is today. She has turned the old age of 8. They sure do grow quickly! Seems like yesterday I was changing her diapers. We are giving her the Hannah Montana concert tickets tonight. Can't wait to see her and Kayla's expressions. They are going to FREAK out!!
Hope Jenna's birthday was great - I'm sure she loved the tickets. I remember seeing that photo of you and if I had your body, I wouldn't mind my DH posting!! You looked great. Now, back to my diet...tomorrow!

I know it has been a long time since I have been on the boards and you probably think we have canceled our trip. This is not so. I am afraid that I have been dealing with a pretty bad case of depression and have not been up to doing much of anything. I just wanted everyone to know that I am getting it under control and hope to be back to my old self before long. I want those that have stated interest in Fish Extenders to know that I will be starting to sew again very soon and have not forgotten them if they want one. Hopefully I can get myself to sit down at the sewing machine in the next couple of weeks.

To those on my Fish Extender committee I have not forgotten that either if it is still being done. I will try and get some information together soon.

I haven't even felt like reading the boards and after finding out all the pages I have missed I will not be trying to get caught up but will try and stay caught up from now on. If I have missed anything of importance I hope that someone will PM me and let me know.

Carol
 Hope you are doing well.

Happy Anniversary!

Great ideas for the basker. I'm thinking of ordering one for Darrell and so far only thought of underwater disposable cmaera.
Thanks for the good wishes. We had a very nice day yesterday. I got my husband a digital camera from Olympus and it can take underwater pictures. It is amazing what they can make now...it doesn't look like an underwater camera at all. Good idea about the disposable camera for the basket.

Hello Everybody

I suppose to start diet and go to gym. But I have not start it yet. I blame the weather as it is pour of raining and windy all this week!! Or Am I lazy?? Feel no energy at all.

I must start it soon as need lost weight for May 08:idea:

Well done to another people who had lost their weight - I wish I have the willpower!!!

Scottishwee35:eek:
We still have almost 4 months!! We can do it...starting tomorrow! Still on vacation in Maui...can't diet here...

Wellcraft Marine just announced they will close their doors, 300 people will be out of jobs. They have been here 20+ years.
How sad. Makes me thankful for my job.

are girls bringing their costumes? I wasn't going to - aside from a pirates costume and one princess one that isn't disney but is very pretty. We don't usually line up to see the characters all too often so I am thinking there is no need really. No stroller either. Is that nuts or do you think we'll need it?
What about one of those small umbrella strollers? We usually take that as it doesn't take up much space. Helpful late at night after the shows if they are tired...

Glad you're having such a great time Lisa, just an FYI, when you get back please clean out your PMs.....I can't send you the PM for the Master Dis List. We need your input to be included. Thanks.
Sorry, I have all my notes in my PMs for the fish teams. I'll try to delete some and then do a good cleaning when I get home.

Deb....just remember...we can support you all we are able to (and we are all happy to be here with you as you become a non-smoker), but in the long run it was you who chose not to grab that pack yesterday and you who is finding the strength to quit for good this time! :cheer2: Don't underestimate yourself and your own power to quit!!!! You are doing great.
Very nicely said!
Holly - at least you know something now. Are they going to give him any medication or anything? (I am not sure if these are medicated things or not)

We got a photo album on board that could hold them and put them all in it...it is an easy way to store the photos and the kids love flipping through them. I'm usually the opposite, always sad I didn't get more of those. Of course, they are WAY too expensive. I wished they made them more affortable.

Ok, huge sibling rivarly thing going on...my eldest went to the Sharks game and insisting on getting his photo taken to try to get fan of the game. As some might remember, my other son, Jack, got his photo and won fan of the month in November. Anyway, my oldest son was selected for fan of the game in December!! Arg, so now I have to vote for him of course, but if he wins fan of the month, he would then be competing against his brother for fan of the year!!! What a mess...anyway, here is the link if anyone is interested in checking it out and supporting such an OPEN display of sibling rivalry...rather embarressing I say!! He is Owen - they have him from Mountain View because that is where I work. Voting ends tomorrow. http://sharks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=349073

the girls have all new clothes and I will be buying DH and I some new stuff as well. I am going to try and bring less that I have planned....we'll see. We don't buy too much in the shops, but I would like the PC pin sets if they have any and if there is something special to this particular cruise. And an ornament....we'll be having drinks, I like wine with my dinner - DH likes coke with meals, but after dinner in teh clubs, I am sure we'l have stuff too. I plan on bringing some stuff with us as well. I sure wish I could just ship it there and not have to worry about it...but oh well.

The last time I went on Tower of Terror at DCA, we went very early with some friends. There was no line, so we went three times in a row. They wanted to go again, but I had to bail. I found my limit.

Woody

I've done three in a row and it was about my limit too!

...almost caught up.....

Good job, John1. And I certainly second Aladdin! That is an amazing show. We like to sit in the front row of the balcony.

:lmao:

I love watching Aladdin from the front row of the Mez. right on the rail...great view of the elephant!

Holly, have a great night tonight! Glad to hear you have a diagnosis and therefore a place to start!

I have been working on my budget recently...Shutters is a downfall for me as well, but like you V, they are all sitting in a box in the closet, so I must remember that this time. I got some ideas from Lisa (Liserann) for my budget, but right now, I have guestimated tips, Palo's (need to increase that one), the spa, shutters, bar tab, internet access, travel to and from the ship and excursions. Hopefully I am estimating very high so when on board it won't shock me too much!

Well, I'm glad they spelled that out. Now that I know they are getting $5, I can go from there on what additional I want to give.

It is nice to know exactly what the money goes to now.

For those who have done the repo's in the past...what type of special things do they have for sale? I remember the first PC cruise people were sleeping out in line waiting to get pins. Did they change policies and such now so it isn't as much of an issue? I would probably want a full set of any special pins they have (actually both girls would want a set, so make that 2). Drinks, we'll probably do a wine package with dinner and then hopefully have our own stuff with an occasional drink in the clubs. DCL doesn't monitor what you bring on in ports, do they? They just monitor what you bring off when disembarking, right? (ok, now I sound like a heavy drinker, which we are not, just wondering)
