My MIL will probably go to Acapulco on the day that we stop there and I am seriously considering switching dirty laundry for clean clothes, but somehow I think people will look funny at us if we disembark with a couple of suitcases in Acapulco :rotfl2: , but this might be better than doing :laundy:

I would not look at you funny. More like envy. I say do the switch. If it's an option, do it.

I can't believe how much clothes we have to bring for dinner 15nights and we are hoping to have an additional week and a half or so:eek: I don't want to do laundry...I may bring a small suitcase with what the whole family will wear the week prior to the cruise in FL and wash it at my MIL and repack the small suitcase prior to the cruise and use that stuff for after the cruise at DL
I wish I could do that...people will be thinking ...LUCKY her:goodvibes

Oh, WE PAID IN FULL THIS MORNING!!!!! Seems a lot closer now!!!!:dance3:

:woohoo: :woohoo: It makes it feel real now.:cool1:

we are going to try an limit the bags, but I am not good at light packing.....

I find it impossible to pack light.:confused3 Anyway I will need 'big' clothes too!

My boss just got back from a week in Orlando and gave me this tip on luggage weight limits. He said print your boarding pass at home,(if you are able) and then when you get to the airport check your bags with the skycap. Don't go to the check in counter if you don't have to. He said it's like $3 buck per bag to do this and they don't weight you luggage. When they got home one of theirs had a sticker that said "heavy" and that the weight was 70lb. But they did not have to pay extra for being over the limit. If you do this flying home (which we are not) try to do the check in at a Kiosk instead of the counter if possible.

Me too. :guilty: I hate it if I do pack light then find I don't have what I want or need with me. And a cruise needs more clothes than other vacations, particularly one this long. This was the method in my madness of booking Virgin UC - the baggage allowance of 3 x 32kg bags each, plus 2 x carry-ons. :rolleyes1 Although at least DH won't be able to fill his allowance with model railroad supplies, as he does when we're in Denver! (Then complains when it's always his bags that TSA open.)

Never mind 'big' clothes, after 15 days of DCL food I'll need 'huge' clothes! :rotfl:

I take loads of 'just in case' clothes too - I NEED choice.:lmao: We are flying UC too, but I daren't tell John we can have 3 suitcases each!!!:scared1: We are buying a suit carrier type suitcase so he can take his suit and perhaps if I do actually get a dress, so we will be up to 4. We always used to manage with 2!:confused3

Can you say envious? Have a great day Kaylee, and have a Rosa Regale in Italy for Amy and me.
!

John, I just read this...and without even seeing this before, I did that and did think of everyone here! :goodvibes :goodvibes Mom didn't like it at all but she is a dry red wine fan, so I didn't expect her to.

Here's what I heard from the group from last year about the MCO Hyatt:

The Hyatt has a nice lounge area to the right of the registration desk. It's the same area that people will meet in to get on the DCL buses.
I love the MCO:love: we did that on our last cruise with DCL and swore we'd do that again everytime....however we are planning to go early therefore seems silly to drive back the MCO when we'll be visiting in Melbourne...DFIL works at the Cape. MCO Hyatt has check-in and everything down..they're great:thumbsup2

We are packing a separate suitcase for after the cruise. My DH will be leaving in Acapulco so I will be sending dirty clothes home with him. One less suitcase for us to carry from LAX.
That is so nice DH could do that for you:goodvibes

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: EXACTLY! Too funny! I told Tyler's school a couple months ago (whenever Cindy cancelled) that I'd be taking him out of school for 2 weeks for this cruise. All they said was, "Wow! Sounds so cool! Lucky kid!" He's missed tons of days since then for all his doctor appointments, but OH WELL!
Thats kinder...in AZ kinder is not required by law but first grade and up its required so if you miss ..I think its 18days you have to see a truancy officer...that does not sound fun to me and explain yourself...if my DS misses the last three wks its 14.5 days and he's missed a day and a half so if he doesn't miss anymore we should be good:thumbsup2

[

Are they teaching Brain surgery that week?
:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: You would think right...my DS is a good student so even if it was academic he would be fine...just don't want to get in trouble with the truancy officer:scared:
I'm back!!! Hi everyone. I don't even really know how many pages I am behind at this point, but I am sure I will never catch up, so I am just jumping back in:goodvibes

My trip ended up being great. We hit 3 parks on Sunday (Mom doesn't like to do many of the big rides, so we mostly just walked and walked (and walked!)). Soarin' had a 10 minute wait for a FAST PASS!!!! I have never seen that before. Then when we came back to ride it, there was 130 min wait for the regular entrance. The crowds were crazy for Janaury. We had fun at 'Ohana's and got to eat at Boma's and Bongo's too (yup, we ate our way through the weekend)

John1, you would have been very happy there...Ohio State sweatshirts were everywhere! I think that the cheerleaders were part of the competition at WWofS that weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well. I will try and skim the last few pages today to try and catch up a bit.
Welcome back...we love Soarin' its so cool. We got a private viewing when we were last at Epcot in 2005 we were doing the child swap thing because my DD was too short then she turned three that day so we were the only ones in there and DS got to go two times in a row..real cool:cool1:

those people that got laid off here...the new job descriptions are written and posted...seems pretty awful.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

The Rose Regale is tooooo sweet for me but my John likes it.

I tried it over christmas. I finally found it at Cost Plus World Market. I have had been looking all over for it. I even gave a bottle as a gift even before I tried it. I trusted everyone's opinion and it was right on. My friend loved it. Dbil and I drank my bottle a our christmas eve dinner. All I can say is LOVED IT.:lovestruc

Me either...light, what is light? A word I don't know. DH just looks at me and shakes his head :sad2:

Best thing was when we had a touring caravan. I used to just scoop up just about all the clothes in my wardrobe on their hangers and transfer them to the wardrobe in the van!!! Never wore them all, ever, and still don't wear eveything I take away.

The skycaps weigh the bags at SNA (john wayne) and LAX. We almost had to pay once but I think I looked so pitiful the guy said..."well let it go through this time".

I have more bad news for everyone.....not going to be able to do any high teas as a group. I faxed the lists to DCL and they called me today. It seems that tea time is only at 3pm and it's a small set up of tables of four. There is no private dining room for tea. So if we want to do it, we have to book it along with other palo ressies and only up to 4 people each.

Do we want to give up on the whole idea of doing it together? and just book for ourselves? or do we want to get say 10 people to book for tables of four all on the same day? This is what DCL said we should do.

Let me know what everyone thinks.

Thanks for trying Deb.....I'll go ahead and just book my own and possibly we'll be near other DISers

Well, the Gameplan came out on video today. My DK wanted to watch this...my DD got a kick out of the dog with the tiara:rotfl: Blockbuster has it on hold for us so need to pick it up. My DK didn't have school today either...teacher education day...hence I'm on the DIS.... starting tommorow when they start school again I'll fall from the face of the earth again...nah...I'll try and keep up:goodvibes

That what I am going to saying it ;) I wonder who is organising it and who I pay to? And are they bringing the lanyards on the cruise???

I am confuse now as PJ will organise it? or not? I like PJ progress.

Has someone on this thread already started the process for lanyards?

I haven't found any Rosa Regale over here yet but I am looking forward to trying some on the cruise somewhere.

Good to know. I'm not sure if he was talking only about the flight to FL or the flight home.

I mentioned that Outback might be an option for dinner a MCO, but I did check with him and it is past security. So I guess it's not an option.

We had somebody organising lanyards and just about everyone ordered, but she has recently cancelled. I think there are a couple of you showing what you have had on other cruises, plus Pj has done graphics for the pockets, but we aren't sure actually whether you or the cruiser who posted a picture of the green lanyards has actually offered.
