From TO
MCO - PORT CANAVERAL $250.00

That would really make it affordable!!

How interesting for your mom to have worked for Onassis´s office in NY!
She said it was interesting. She was in the accounting department and one story she tells is processing a receipt for one very expensive bikini for Grace Kelly (this was long before she was a princess princess: ). My mom has some great stories........

Welcome to the newest members to the Ship of Thieves. Make sure you are ready for plank walking bright and early!!!

Roll Call - Roll call has been updated! We are missing some info for the scurvey bilge rats who just joined us, so check yourself and report back or I be getting Captain Spanxx after ya!!! Arrrrrpirate:

Update - Mishoe01 is getting ready to get a price on those lovely bracelets so we can identify each other in the dark and we are bumping around (sounds so naughty when I put it that way!!) make sure you drop her a PM if you haven't put in your request and sizes!!

Round Up -

My goodness but we are a well read bunch!!! Guess we are going to have problems explaining to DCL that we didn't read THAT part of our cruise contract. :rotfl2: Let's see... computer savy, and book worms, dang, my mom would call us a bunch of nerds...but she would be wrong...again...we are GEEKS!!!

Although it is good to know that we are cruising with a group that can read, follow directions and DO NOT think that the rules are NOT for them!!! :thumbsup2

I could go on and on, but what's the point? It is just the awesomeness that is us, and those other boards just pale in comparison...:tiptoe:

Have a great weekend everyone!!! I have a bridal shower and my friend is out pimping GS cookies...I know, don't envy us our excitement...it is draining I tell you just draining...and on top of it we get to do :laundy: and without a DOD...which is just WRONG I tell you WRONG!!!

Karen: ...my office is longabergered, my kitchen is longabergered, my beach house (we had one in Half Moon Bay from 2001-2003) was longabergered...those are being stored for when we find the real house in Half Moon Bay (we've been looking for 18 months to move over there)
I couldn't do the 92 drive everyday. You are braver than me.

wanna trade places for a few hours Noel???? (that spa day sounded heavenly)

I had a Fiji wrap today here in Reno as it was so cold!! My skin feels and smells just like the tropics.

Thought I would stop in and and say Hi! Just booked on the Western Repo with the family. Way too much to get caught up on, but will give it a try.

Welcome aboard. It is clear you know some of the other members here but tell the rest of us about you and your family!!

Off to cocktails and dinner here in Reno. Will check in later. The steakhouse here has the best lamb!!

Noel

With tip you are looking at $310.00 or $360.00. I would also stick with 24 people, leaving two seat sets for any extra luggage, 30 pieces for 28 people, lol. Could be a little as $12 - $15 person with 24 people. This could be a great option for the airport people.

You would be right on our title of Geeks;

Geek; |gi?k| a person with an eccentric devotion to a particular interest

Nerd; |n??d| a foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious

We aren't boring, just devoted, :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thank you Pj!!!

Just a quick question that has been on my mind.

Just wonder how many "Parrot Heads" might be in this group?:confused3

If you have no idea what a "parrot Head" is do not worry, however you may be one before this cruise is over.

Hi Brack! Nice try since it is impossible to get a pirate: over there at the insane thread!

Well, Sophia (who is seven now) can practically sing the greatest hits from memory . . . but we have not allowed her to listen to "Let's get drunk and ****":rotfl2:

Ok, heading off to bed. We were at a HS tournament BB game tonight. Our team won!

Lisa, one of the kids on our team that I have talked about (the seven foot two Greek boy - Kosta Koufos) is going to Ohio State next year, and we even had the Greek National team coach here scouting him for the Greek Olympic Team last week!

He was born here, but you can play if you are of Greek Ancestry.

Another question to see how geeky you all may be . . . How many of you have iPods, and how many in your family?

Between the four of us, we have SEVEN iPods! Four video iPods (one each) a shuffle, a nano, and a non-video iPod. I am a Mac AND iPod Geek.

(Apple TV is on order too)

Ok - I tried this earlier in the thread and I can't believe there are so many posts out there. Life here got complicated - no need to explain, but I'm starting over and want to introduce myself and hopefully you can guide me to all the goodies of how to get into groups, etc. I just can't read all the stuff up til now - there is no time or energy for that.
This will be my third cruise and it's my husband's and my 10th anniversary celebration. We are in our mid 50's and so if there are others out there who are like us, let me know. I am the Disney fanatic of the family - I just wish I could live there - it's the place I find my peace and my joy.
So, let me know what to do next. I"m not the swiftest person when it comes to computers -- I've gotten confused and lost on this site already and had to change everything. Rather than going back over and figuring it out and remembering who contacted me - I'm starting fresh.
I don't have a cabin number yet. I was one of those people who's TA didn't get in on time because the lines were busy so I had two reservations. The one had me in the back of the ship which I didn't want so I'm now on a category 5 guaranty but no room assignment. I am very claustrophobic so I wanted a room with a deck that is clear and now find out I have to get a medical form to request that....I'm so annoyed that it became so complicated. I loved my cabin the last time - I was on deck 6 near the forward elevators - it was so perfect. So, we'll see what happens. Since it's such a long cruise I want to have a room I will like and be comfy in. Well, now it's time to start putting the money away right??? I look forward to getting tips on shore excursions and stuff. I did read you were thinking about doing wristbands -- that is a great idea - they did that on my last cruise and it was fun to walk by someone and be able to say hi.
I still find it so amazing to see so many posts so early in the game - I hope I can keep up :). (I am a very fun person - sorry if I sound overwhelmed - I was going to wait before I wrote in but I didn't want more time to pass - I have major oral surgery next week so I need pixie dust - I'll just keep focusing on going through the PC -- my dream - always wanted to do it!) I wanted to go to Disney at the end of April so I'd have something to look forward to but DH isn't interested...sigh. I've taken my sister and each of my grown daughters except one so I get to take the final daughter in October - :cheer2: . Well, I'm sure I'll get to know you all better as time goes by - -as long as I get the hang of staying on the boards :).

John-that is so cool! What a great Greek name...Kosta Koufos. My uncle is named Costa (Costantine). Do you think Kosta will be recruited for the Greek team?

iPods....well you'd think with a hubby an sales rep for Hewlett Packard we'd be more techy, but we're not. One iPod, one laptop, one desktop. But we do have a TON of printers (HP of course). Last count I believe there were 6...but his product lines are printers and imaging, so he needs to use them to know them. ;)

Welcome Sandy! Lots of Disney Fanatics here!

Go to the first post on page 1 for summary info. You are not too late, we only have, what 15 months to go!:rotfl2:

Ok, I need to catch up, I need to join the lose it cruiser thread, I need a glass (or two) of wine from Karen's wine shop, I need a new pair of shoes from Norsdrom (sorry John Jhalkias- don't mean to start a shoe talk again), I need this cruise to be sooner!

Spent the whole day in ICU. My friend (diagnosis last Thursday w/cancer) has too many clots in her arms and neck area. :sad2: Her husband has the flu so can't visit and they don't let children of course in ICU so she can't see her little girl either. Ugg. Messy, chaotic communication as we traveled from radiology to ICU to cath/radiology lab. She decided to do the infertilty testing and post-pone chemo and start radiation first. I'm being supportive but scared about her choice - this type of cancer (non-hodgkins, large B cell) protocol is chemo first. But she really wants another baby and feels the IVF thing is her only chance. But hormone shots? I don't know. Just seems like she should focus every bit of energy fighting this cancer (and right now blood clots). Thanks for listening...no need to respond- I know you are all out there  now back to John's favorite subject::goodvibes

Maybe I'll go to Neiman Marcus for a pair of shoes tomorrow. Wish it was time for a last call sale! Wait a minute...I have to save for this cruise so maybe I'll just dream of Jimmy Choo tonight! :cloud9:

Ok - off to catch up. Lisa

I love all the suggestions for books and authors. I belong to a book club, so I am usually reading whatever the club has picked, currently "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham, although I haven't started it yet. We just finished "Keeping Faith" by Jodi Picoult (sp?), which I liked, but not as much as "My Sister's Keeper." Anyway, I seem to be the oddball in my book club because I seem to keep picking unusual books that no one else really "gets" or likes. My recent picks were "Wicked" and "The Time Traveller's Wife" (which I really, really liked). The reaction from most of my club was "it was weird" or "I don't read science fiction." Whatever. I thought the point of a book club was to expand your horizons a bit and flex those brain muscles. I'm glad to see such a wide array of interests here, and I have lots of new books to add to my must-read list.

I know you said there was no need to respond, but do you really expect this chatty bunch to listen to you? I just think your friend is so lucky to have you. You are really being there when she needs you the most. :flower3:
