Just noticed is does say "Walt Disney Suite", but I think it's the Roy in the picture!

Did you enter this? It sounds too good to be true....I never enter these kinds of things....but they are going to use it for marketing for DCL and Disney Destinations....I already get all that stuff now.......

What do you guys think??

loved J. Lo's dress, but it makes her look pregnant...agree, WTH was Jennifer Hudson thinking?!? liked Cameron Diaz's hair, but not the dress...Penelope cruz's was way too foofoo...best looking person so far? Leo DiCaprio. yum

Kirstin Durst dress what was that about, can't stand that color or style on her. Thought John Travolta looked great and so did Will Smith...Leonardo DiCaprico looked the same as he always does...Kate Winslet's dress was very beaded and gorgeous...Beyoncee dress was too sea foamy looking for me, interesting style but not quite to my taste....

:happytv:

Sally Kirkland looked like Elvira with blonde hair!! YUCKY dress!!

:happytv:

My favorite so far... Reese Witherspoon. I have always loved her and she always looks classy, sophisticated and simple! She is so beautiful.

Sorry to bring up a sad subject, but my good friend just got diagnosised with non-hodgkins lymphoma on Friday. I found out yesterday, and just got off the phone with her sister. She is undergoing some more tests today - bone marrow, scans, etc. She went to the doctor on Friday because she had some swelling in her face - she thought it was allergies. She is 37, a high school teacher, and has a 3 year old DD. I was in her wedding - I set up her and her husband. There were friends forever, but I saw this spark and became a match maker one St. Patrick evening in SF. Anyway, the doctor on Friday sent her straight to the hospital after her blood results came back. She has already had a treatment of chemo. The tumor is blocking (80%) the artery to her heart and has caused tremendous swelling. She doesn't want visitors today - asked that I come tomorrow. I imagine she is somewhat in shock - it has all happened so fast.

Agg. Life just turns sometimes. I have been saying prayers for all those that have mentioned things on the board, can't believe I'm sending the request now.
Thanks for listening.
Lisa

Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Prayers and pixie dust your way and her way!

Looks like John1 and PJ may have another Mac Geek convert. :lmao: Where's Brack?;)

Very possible! I've been wanting to replace my 3yr old laptop anyway. The more I read about Macs, the more I'm interested!

Exposition of Epidermal Mammary Tissue?

:rotfl2: Um....Yeah! That's a great way to put it!

Even better....

Oooh! I'm really in now! Next student loan check, that will be mine! :thumbsup2

Don't forget the Atari too.

(No cracks about being older than dirt!):rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Doug

Hey, I used to go into my brothers room and play Pong on his Atari! :rotfl:

Celine Dion's green dress didn't work for her. Bracelet was gorgeous but dress, thumbs down..

come on how many shoes???? I have promised not to pack as many as last time, but what will I not bring????(17 pairs between the 4 of us last time)
Holy cow! When I travel I wear sneakers, which I use during the trip for walking all over on excursions, and and I pack sandals that are comfy enough to wear anywhere yet still look nice with anything I'd wear to dinner. I love traveling light and simple!

SHOES are also a high priority for me!! My favorites is Stuart Weitzman shoes. They fit my feet perfectly!!

My DD is fond of Trish McEvoy. I use a combination on La Prarie, Enzio Lazlo, Kinetin, Kinerase, Cellux C and Dr. Idiris products.
:rotfl2: I have never heard of any of those names! Sad, but funny! Hmmmmmm......kind of obvious that I don't wear makeup, huh?! :rotfl:

So sorry to hear! Prayers and hugs coming your and her way.

Med School is so LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Heather graduated from High School in 3 years and went to Duke, where with her AP classes and summer graduated in three years. She was 19 when she graduated from Duke!! (She also skipped 1st grade!!). Georgetown, however, was a full 4 years of non stop testing....It seems like she was always studing for one Medical Board or another. I cried last year at her graduation. It was so cool seeing the entire class take the Hypocratic Oath together.....I was thinking this really is the future!! She was the youngest in her class...23 when she graduated in May 06 and turned 24 in November. She is doing 1 year at Fairfax Hospital (large DC area Medical Center.....known for delivering the 2nd most babies each year in the US...after some hospital in Texas) and then off for 3 years at NYU Hospital School of Eyes and Ears (I think that is what it called) ... she will be 27 when she is ready to go get a "real" job.

Cool! Alex will be 19 when he gets his undergraduate degree too. He turns 20 in June (here's an interesting story for you, Alex's birthday is June 15, same as mine, he was born on my birthday, my dad is a twin, and was born on June 24th, and my brother was born on HIS birthday, so both my dad and I had son's born on our birthdays in June). Alex also had lots of AP classes and credit. I must say though that Duke and Georgetown are a bit more impressive. We were talking tonight, and he said no way would he have gone to Youngstown State (YSU) if not for this program. He says lots of people call YSU "You Screwed Up". Regardless, the science programs are good, and a physics professor brings in millions of dollars in grants. We both agreed, when you are on the operating table, no one will ask you what school you went to.

So Alex should also be 23 when done with Med School. I have kept waiting for him to hit the wall in college, but hasn't happened yet. I'm sure Med school will be much more of a challenge.

Who needs makeup with one of those adjustable shirts! :lmao:

OK, back to dress discussion . . .

You got it! Prayers on the way.:grouphug:

We've been spending the day digging out from the snowstorm. The local forecasters weren't too far off with all their hype this time. We did get hit with 8-10 inches of snow. First there was a layer of ice on everything and then all this wet snow, so the trees are going down all over the place. We lost half of a huge tree in our backyard, which has trapped my van in the garage. I tried to get a picture before DH started up the chainsaw to free the van, but I was too late. Thankfully, DH's truck wasn't in the garage or parked under any trees, so we were able to drive that today. He bought this huge monstrosity of a truck last week, and I have been teasing him about his new toy ever since. Well, I'm eating my words and am very thankful for his four wheel drive truck now.

We haven't lost power, thankfully, although my parents who live about an hour away don't have electricity. I'm hoping they are restored soon, or we will go get them and bring them here to stay. Some parts of the state are supposed to be without electricity for a few days.

It's really beautiful, but I got my workout for today by shoveling our sidewalks.

Holy cow! I feel for you! We barely got anything at all. :confused3

How did you all make out with your driving? Is the weather a little better? This storm finally made it's way here too, in Ontario. We had freezing rain this afternoon and now it's snowing and snowing. My dad is driving my mom to Toronto tomorrow, about a two hour drive, for a medical procedure, I sure hope the roads improve by then .
Kathe

:wizard: for safe travels for your parents. We got to Detroit last night, had a blast swimming, and got up this morning to ice covering everything. So while we waited for the pool to open at 10am, we decided it would be smart to crack and scrape all the ice off the car ahead of time so when we were ready to leave, we could hop in the car and go. By the time we left the hotel at 11:30, the car was completely covered with ice again. Freezing rain continued, but fortunately, the drive to Sesame Street Live was only 15 miles on the highway. However, there were a few terrible accidents we had to pass. Solid ice on the highway and all other roads. I'm really glad I didn't do the 1 1/2 drive in that this morning! After the show, the freezing rain had stopped and salt trucks must have been out because it wasn't slippery anymore. Back home I could tell they had gotten the ice earlier as well, but only about 1/2 of snow. And as usual, some nice mystery neighbor cleared my sidewalk! :woohoo:

We will be at an Oscar party tonight in full dress up, pull out the tux and sequins mode!

They have a full home theatre with all of the surround sound, vibrating chairs, big humongous screen stuff! My DH is living vivaciously :rotfl2: though them!

We are bringing the lobster tales and our close friends are bringing the filet roast! Of course, we are also bringing wine! :dance3:

Should be fun! I'll report later!

Karen

Even though I've never had the desire to watch the Oscars, the party you're going to sounds so fun!

The snow is really bad here, blowing sideways. It was very nice out this afternoon, and now it looks like the inside of a snow-globe in the hands of a two year old.

:sad2:

Time for me to say "Asta La Vista, Baby"!

I'm right there with you! Gee, I don't care about shoes, makeup, Oscars, dresses, etc. What kind of woman am I?! :rotfl: I met a guy a couple of weeks ago and when he found out I don't know the exact date of my divorce, he said, "You're not a real woman!" I was offended at first, but he told me he actually meant it as a compliment because I'm so low maintenance. Not a nice way to make a compliment! He's lucky I didn't throw my drink in his face! :rotfl2:
