Here is the latest email from TA on my request for waitlist on new ships:

Hello Noel,

I just got off the phone with my rep in IC and she got our fax first thing this morning. According to IC, Disney has not yet opened an “official” wait-list and they are not taking deposits as they have no real inventory to link a deposit with. They will keep our request on file, it is dated, and my contact in IC will call me as soon as they have decided how to proceed.

I’ll check in with her from time to time to see if any progress has been made, and I’ll keep you informed of anything I find out.

This is pretty exciting news! I don’t know why Disney took so long adding to their tiny fleet, but I think it is a very wise move!

Looks like they are going to want deposits to be on the IC list, does it not?

Noel

It's being considered to change it to Sunday the 20th. I think it will be posted soon.

:hippie: This would work for me. We are going to the park on Monday for DH birthday:woohoo:

Quick post to say Hi! Am pages behind (yet again).

Had my review at work and all is well. Got a raise, everyone likes me and my desk is neat. These are important things here. :goodvibes

Fiona

:woohoo: :woohoo: Way to go with the review

Same story here. I have two boys and they don't do anything quietly. My best friend has these delightful, polite, quiet girls, and then there's my two. :joker: Actually, I wouldn't even know what to do with girls. I'm hopeless with the whole hair thing and I think I'd run screaming into the streets if I had to deal with the invasion of pink Barbie stuff. Give me legos anyday.

The thing is that you ladies with these rowdy boys will be the ones sitting back and smiling when those delightful, polite, quiet girls hit 14! :scared1: Been there, done that....loving mother of 2 delightful, polite, quiet girls and one rowdy boy, all grown now. ;)

Someone posted that back for the Magic maiden sailing, DCL asked for deposits about 3 yrs prior before anything was really set. The dates got pushed back once (maybe more). She said they got letters from DCL throughout the whole process.
I find it strange that the announcement didn't come with a coordinated effort to take deposits (which they would have easily gotten). I am wondering if it is a similar situation with what might have happened with the 2008 west coast annoucement- somehow their plans were leaked so they just go for it and make the announcement. I have gotten three different stories from DCL since yesterday and now Noel's TA received another one (that they will keep requests on file- I was told they will not take any requests at this time). Just seems a bit disorganized to me. Lisa

My TA sent my request in yesterday. DCL probably has put your request into the "shoe box" we all talked about with the others! HA

DCL doesn't think outside the box (or shoe box in this case) when they make any kind of announcements like this and then they don't communicate well. If everyone of us called, we would get a different answer. All I know is that there were "NO LISTS" for the Med. although their were and they denied having them, but yet we had friends on the lists that were called prior to the sailing opening up for sales and they had their reservation before we could get ours.

Hopefully, they will have all their Mickeys in a row in the next year so they can give everyone the same answer to the same questions we ask over and over and over again!

That's right! I told my DH I will take the first 10 years and then he is on his own.:rotfl: My oldest DD is 10 now and all I have to say is dad has his hands full.:scared1:

Here's a question regarding the fish mail. Do we give one item per room or per person?

I guess it would also depend on what was given. I have been looking at Promotional Item websites for ideas. For example, a travel first aid kit could be one per room, but Yo Yo's could be one per person.

Does this make sense? I have been googling and I think my brain is googly. :rotfl:

No comments from the peanut gallery, PlutoBrat.

Don't forget, I think there is time rule for posting. I think I read 40 seconds somewhere.
