Truth be told, I am probably the only native Californian that would prefer not to have it so warm in the winter months. I like having a wee bit of a season!! I also like the rain... I know, I know, I'm living in the wrong part of the world!

Karen:

I'm with you. Native California girl (northern california girl) I like it in Half Moon Bay because it gets chilly enough to wear a sweater there. And I wish we had more than 2 or 3 days of fall every year. I could do without the cold, the rain bring it on....

Correction on the American Girl Stores: Chicago (not Minnesota) (Wisconsin is were the founder started it all) and New York, then last spring Los Angeles. New stores coming to Dallas and Atlanta Fall 2007.

Here is Miss Molly with her AG, Nellie at her 8th bday party:

What about Dirty Jobs? DD love that one too... What is it with these girls and thier dads? (DH loves mythbusters and Dirty Jobs)

We love Dirty Jobs, Mike Rowe used to do a home show here in Baltimore. We also watch Mythbusters, Mail Call (surprised anyone? DH is a retired Marine) and Americas Test Kitchen on PBS. DD loves Good Eats.

I can't really relate to the American Girls dolls but have you seen the My Twinn dolls? Mekayla has one and looking at your daughter's picture with her American Girl doll reminds me of my daughter's doll. That doll has more accessories and clothes than me and Mekayla have in our own closets. LOL

We love American Girl Dolls here! I have spent and will spend a fortune in there stores in Chicago and NY!!!!

Our oldest daughter is expecting in July. Both daughters were too old when American girls came along. She said a possible girl name was Kirsten. I told it was great name and tops on my list. I didn't tell her why. :rolleyes1 It gets even better, I'm a Swede.

OK, what am I doing wrong? When I click on the picture I can only save it but it won't copy? How do I copy the url?

When you control click on a Mac, it brings up a menu, with the option to "copy image address" . . . I assume the same thing works with a right click on Windoze, but not sure.

I remember when my daughter first got into American dolls she thought that was her name. She was about three. We still love Kirsten. LOL. My Dds name is Kristin.

I'm sad (NOT) to report that it was almost 70 in Northern California for the first part of the day yesterday. Chilled down into the mid 50's towards the afternoon/evening, and it's 67 as I am typing this now! Sorry to be so smug, but that's why we pay the big bucks to live here!;)

:p It's 19 here, and in about one hour our 14 year old slow pokey schnauzer will want to go for a walk. :p

We had a lovely, (and quite large) CC party on the EB repo in 2005! Full buffett and DOD's!! Woo Hoo!!

Yes, we have been to several of those. It was last year that we began reading about the rice crispie treats on this board and Dec 2006 when we experienced it.

For the last 3 DCL cruises, our good friend, Ken has purchased the lanyards and tag holders and made the inserts with our theme for that particular cruise. He actually coordinates the whole thing and then get "volunteers" from the thread and we all split the cost of the lanyards as our sailaway gift to everyone in the group. For the eb med cruise I put in $35.00. Ken pulls everyones disname and name off the master roster list on the thread. If you are on the roster list, you get a lanyard and name tag. If not on the list, then you don't get one. He also makes up blank ones and gives them to a couple of the CM's on board and the captain and we make them "honorary disboard members". It has been very successful. If you want, I can provide you with Ken's info so you could PM him. I am sure he would be happy to give you the information he has as he spent numerous hours (starting with the PC cruise) in finding the best deal and all that stuff.

I'll see if I can get pictures of the last couple of lanyards and post them here so you can see.

Here are a couple of the lanyards that Ken has done in the past(hopefully the pix aren't too big)...

RE: Door signs....if you put your DISboards name on it, it should be ok. I don't want to put a room nbr on mine, that way I can use it over and over (and hopefully over and over :) ) again.

I love the Disney Sceneit - got it for Christmas.

Can't wait for Sunday night ---- The Amazing Race starts!! (I don't watch Survivor or AI, but I LOVE The Amazing Race).

I'm off to MD this Sunday---for the next week. Meeting my new niece for the 1st time (she's due to arrive tomorrow morning)  Can't wait!

Have a good evening!

BTW - I have a stateroom assignment, but my friends don't.

What a good idea about the door signs.:thumbsup2 Rich will just have to take me on more cruises to justify the cost of the door magnet. :rotfl:

Bring lots of warm clothes, its freeezing here. :scared1:

What a beautiful setting. See if I took a picture of my house you could see the next one also. We can't pee without our neighbors hearing it. Although our house is older so we are not as close a some. You may have the snow but that looks a little inviting.

that is the best idea I've heard all day!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

absolutely, I'll bring the game-minus the box. it's a date! anybody have the disney version they want to bring?

Anyone think DCL would let us play SceneIt Disney version on the Dumbotron?:rolleyes1

That is so cute! Your dgd will love that doll.

Rember Marisol Luna, doll of the year for 2005 (I think)? Well I have a friend who is Marisol Luna (not a common name at all) who loves to dance just like the doll and even looks a bit like her.
