If the cruise is sold out, and you already have a cabin, what is the possibility that you could add another adult later? (In the same room)

Just found out that a dear family friend (group of 5) want to come on this cruise. She told me an agent was working on it for her, but I told her I'd check with the source of all knownlegde (the DIS of course) to see if anyone had suggestions to get on board with us. The want to have at least a cat 6, but with 5 people I think they'd have to have a cat 4 (which would be ok I suspect)

I wish I knew last month they wanted to go...I'd have booked them right after I booked us.:confused3

I just checked into this yesterday. I'm booked as a solo, but my sister is thinking of joining me. My TA said that she could be added at this time, but there was a chance that she couldn't be added later, depending on how full the ship was at the time.

I checked DCL website yesterday and they had all 4-11 available GTY???

I saw the post this morning that it was sold out and went to check on disney's site and nothing came up. And I was looking for 2 adults only.

Oh and Good morning and Good day to all:hippie:
Venetia

Angie, that might be it!!! He is a big queue hopper and usually ends up in the wrong one! Now, if I can just say he would have the choice.......;)

Oh and, don't you get a special get together?

They used to have a very nice reception for the CC members that included cocktails and a nice buffet of snacks....fancy stuff. Now they have cut back and they give you a rice krispie Mickey head and cup of coffee. The Ship Officers do still come and say their thanks though. Guess there are too many of us and it costs too much. However, I think that is it a small cost to give us a free drink to thank us for continuing to spend thousands with them and recommending them to all our family and friends.

Wow! What a difference a day makes. And the deposits from the original booking day have all come due so there should not be any double booked folks now.

I always get in the wrong line.

I looked yesterday and there were still CAT 4's available. Just don't tell them how much other people paid.

Oh man it did that the other day I wonder if they are working on it again?

I wonder if they will do something a little better for this cruise or because there will be so many repeaters the cheaper route.:confused3

Same thing here. I think the entire picture will change later on when people have to pay up! Maybe not, but I'm hoping so!

DH and I did not care for the new CC reception. In fact we noticed quite a few cost cutting measures on our last cruise. We especially missed the Steel Drum band. I sure hope they have one onboard for the Repo.

Yesterday I looked and there were all CAT's from 4-11 open and then it says sold out again. I am thinking maybe they are just updating.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been around this week. Between healing from surgery, taking care of the baby, workingm and getting snowed in, the internet took a backseat.

I hope everyone is having a good week though!

It sounds like you have had a rough couple of weeks. I hope everyone (especially you) recovers and you can rejoin when you feel up to it.:)

There were a bunch of repeat cruisers on the Dec DD and this is all they had. It was held in the club area.

Interesting!

Is this what you had to say? Sorry I had to do it!:rotfl:

I have no idea how I am going to get and stay caught up. I will try, I am sure it must be hard for you guys to keep re-hashing old topics so please forgive my late responses.
Am I the only one on the planet who has never seen any Survivor episodes or an American Idol episode????

I haven't seen either. We have satellite and end up watching Discovery Channel or Food Network. My friends at home make fun of me becasue I don't read the local paper and NEVER know the current local events; but I could tell you all about Chicago's and Denver's news!:rotfl:

I agree. I think it's a shame that the repeat cruiser's gifts and receptions have seemed to slowly dwindle down over the last few years. My TA said that DCL had the highest repeat cruiser head count in the oceans right now (duh two ships...o.k. that math stuff again) You would think their repeat guest acknowledgements would be higher. I was reading the Passporter reviews from the 2004 Repo and Jennifer (co-editor) said that at dinner and throughout their cruise DCL gave out little gifts (pins, buttons, coffee cups) maybe they'll do something like that again, even though it's not their "1st time through the Canal":hippie:
