We still have spaces available on the Private Palo Brunch and Dinner lists that
Kim, Virgina and I are trying to organize.

I have sent my list in already for the first 14. There is still room on the list for other brunch dates and dinner being organized by Kim and Virginia.

The way it works is we must send a fax to DCL with the first and last names of the guests and their stateroom numbers. DCL wants to be sure we are reserving for guests that are "booked". Each family will receive they own bill and can tip accordingly.

Anyone else who has not previously pm'd me, please send me a pm with your details.

Noel

I got busted too! I didn't know I was too big.:confused3

Me too! What a bummer! But my bust is probably because when added to everything else I have (my other tiny pic and 2 tickers) that put me over the top. I'll try to play around with it later.

Here is a question for previous repo cruisers. We love Lumiere's and wonder what it the best dining rotation for spending the most night's in Lumiere's.

TIA.

:surfweb:

Don't know if this is good news or not, but here's your answer....

Any rotation will work.

We have 15 nights on board. Since there are three restaurants in the rotation, you will be in each 5 times.

DUh....you can tell my brain cells are not working this morning....

Should clarify - unlike the 4 nights on the Wonder, longer cruises (7+ nights) always go in a true rotation. Especially with the 15 night - if it wasn't in a specific order, you would quickly loose track where you were supposed to be each night if they didn't.

If there the number of nights is not a multiple of 3, then starting in Lumiere's is always the safest bet.

This is a really big group of people. Maybe rather than going into the fish extender business, they would be willing to post some instructions or patterns so folks could make their own. That might be something to post on the website, so it's easy to locate. Some of the craftier types (that would not be me) might be willing to make some for others. I can't imagine trying to make fish extenders for this whole crew, though. Whew!

Posting a pattern or instructions is a great idea!

Our list of those deserving souls who should never be seen without a DOD in their hand to show our gratitude is growing:

PJ-website designer and hostess
Auntybrat-goddess of the DIS
Krisann's DH-for service to our country and us all
Seaulator-scrapbooking class
Everyone else I'm forgetting who are setting up Palo brunch, dinner, kids' chat room, and everything else that is making this cruise so special. No wonder we are all so excited 15 months out.:thumbsup2

I second that!

Do you know about right clicking on the "quote", then opening in new window so that you don't lose your place when catching up?

Wow, two new things and it is barely noon! Thanks again, Angie!

I am trying it now ... hopefully I did it right ...

Duh, Angie! I have two trips, three threads I am trying to keep up with! :lmao: However, we have also had delays in April and May due to storms in the midwest...Chicago. I am just a paranoid and if it takes 8 hours and 2 flights to get there, I need to be safely tucked into a close by hotel the day before. :confused3 We even drive to Portland airport the evening before our flight and stay in a hotel there. It is an hour from our house without traffiic, but can take several hours if there is bad weather or an accident. The extra hundred bucks is my insurance that I don't miss an early morning flight. :thumbsup2

You are so right about flying in a day early. Even when it's not winter flights can be delayed or cancelled. I live in FL, but when my mom & sister flew down in Dec for our cruise they came down 2 days early. My mom was going to spend the extra hundred and get a hotel near the airport, but instead we just booked an extra night at a WDW value resort!

We will be flying out sometime on Friday. I would be a nervous wreck if we waited until the evening and took a red eye. I don't know if it would be worth it to have DD's go to school that morning or just take the whole day off:confused3. They will still miss their afternoon classes either way. We will probably use DH's FF miles on SW since we will only need a 1 way flight.

SFO - Orlando
United has a direct 1:05pm flight on Friday, arriving in at 9:30pm - I think that is what we will do. Kids in school Friday AM, arriving the night before so no worries.

Southwest Airlines just announced that they are starting service to SFO this fall. Maybe they'll have some nonstops to MCO.

Our elementary school has independent study contracts when a child will miss more than a week of school. Our middle school does not:( . (Yes, I called and asked.) They really do not want the kids to miss school at all. DD's are good students and will log on daily to get HW assignments. Even so, it will be hard to miss that much school. That is really the biggest hurdle for us with this trip. They will still have 3 weeks left in school when we get back.

for lwilliams: good for you taking the trip with just DH! :thumbsup2 DH and I were supposed to do the Eastbound repo this spring to the Med, but his work schedule had a conflict. Instead, we are doing a 3/4 Land & Sea next month. Yes, our DD's are appalled that 1 - we would even want to take a vacation without them :rotfl2: and 2 - we have the audacity to go to WDW without them:rotfl2: .

Thanks! You just taught me something new too!

That is how ours is also. I figured this will be one of the last times to pull our oldest DD out because she will be graduating 6th grade 2 weeks after we get back.
