We did the Regency on Maui, but had a better time with points from Starwood at the Royal Hawaiian on Oahu. I love the Hyatt but the Royal Hawaiian on Oahu was spectacular.

You guys crack me up! Looks like we are all "sytem users". By that I mean we work the system and get the rewards. We are going to Hawaii for Thanksgiving. We are staying 10 days at the Maui Wailea Marriott for FREE. Gotta love it!!! I am a Maui Girl! I so wish the tag fairy would put that on my tag! I wish I could move there.

You'll have to swing by the store next time you are in Orange... although I do recommend leaving your credit cards in the car.... Just ask seaulater about that!

Prednisone. Now there is a fun drug. They used to give it to me via IV - 1000mg doses daily for a week. My house was never so clean. I would sleep for two hours a night then completely reorganize my closet, garage, attic, etc. I will second the dreams too. Those got strange.

Major problem was my appetite would go nuts - I could eat 2-3 entrees at every meal, and I still wouldn't feel full. Between that and the water retention, I would put on 25 pounds in a week. Would take weeks to get it all back off again.

Yeah! I caught up. Always feels so good. Thanks all for the encouragement about celebrating our 15th. To combine our posts- we were going to use points to stay at the Princeville Resort for our anniversary! Instead, we will keep the points and be on the cruise. So thinking about celebrating it on the cruise makes me feel better about giving up on Hawaii. Maybe Hawaii for the 20th! Who am I kidding...we can wait 5 years before going back to Hawaii???

I'll dig it up and attempt to load it this weekendish. Tomorrow is my DD 12th birthday and I am supposed to be "creating" her CD labels and jackets for the jewel cases as we speak! We went to CD's for goody bags, how things change from when they're little... sigh

We were in Princeville in Kauai in 1986 for Hands Across Kauai on May 25, 1986 which was simulataneously held with Hands Across America.

Anybody remember Hands Across America? Hands Across America was a benefit event staged on May 25, 1986 in which millions of people held hands for fifteen minutes along a path across the continental United States. Participants paid ten dollars to reserve their place in line; the proceeds were donated to local charities to fight hunger and help the homeless. The event was a project of USA for Africa.

Our youngest DD turnedd six months old that day and we were on a sabbatical trip for my DH's work.

The picture I have (somewhere) (this was pre-scrapbooking) shows the line of people as far as the eye can see... I also still have the pin, probably one of my first trading pins, and my visor.
