I hate to rub it in, but it was 85 here today! My poor kids were sweating in their long pants...had to dig out the shorts for soccer practice!

Isn't our weather just gorgeous. My DD went to Oxnard Harbor today for a field trip on the tall ships. Lucky girl. I will pick her up at school tonight.

I have a group of people that want to join a team but no team leader! Anyone?? It will be fun! And if anyone emailed me and is willing to be the leader, please let me know. I'm waiting to set another team until we have a leader! Also, I have one name so far:
May 12: Vino Veritas. What a great name!

We have teams for:
May 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, and 19.

If we want all the days covered, we need 9 more leaders! Also, if any "one" person wants to take a day, just let me know.

I think someone asked a question about whether the presents were surprises: YES! I will keep them a secret and only devulge what I need to in order to make sure no one duplicates.

Not to be mean, but that is really funny. I recently came across the last name of "bugher"....so is that pronounced bugger or bug-her?

That reminded me of another student--a boy, whose last name was Boughner--I don't know if he got teased by other kids, but at the end of a long, difficult day, when teachers get a little loopy, we could get the giggles over it. I felt sorry for him when he got to middle school...

Thanks for posting this. I guess I'm not the only one who'd never seen it before. I'll have to try to sign myself up somehow.

The school district has won. My son will be in state testing during that period and yes, he will lose class credits for missing 10 days of high school. I can't take that chance, he is real smart but not the best student (doesn't like to do homework). So, with a very heavy heart, I have just asked my wonderful travel agent to cancel this cruise. I will be back before the sail date to wish all you wonderful people a bon voyage!! I guess I won't be needing the spots in the Hummerzine..... I won't get to go to Bunco....

On a happy note, I wish all of you the very best time on this cruise and I hope to meet you on a future cruise.

I'm sorry you won't be able to join us! But I applaude you for doing the best thing for your son.

It sounds like a lot of you are staying at the airport the night before or flying the red-eye. Is anyone planning on staying closer to the port where we might be able to have a dis-meet?

I might come in on Thurs. and stay at Cocoa Beach for 2 nights, but won't decide until it gets closer. All I know for sure is that I won't be doing a red-eye!

Ooooooooohh! Could this be used on those spouses/family members who still haven't come over to the Disney loving light???

Sorry! I just thought I would add that I picked up my DD safe and sound and they said this was the most beautiful weather they can remember for the tall ships. They even got to use the sails right off the dock which has never happened with another class.

No red eye here! I did it in December and never again! I wish I could do a couple days in Florida but to much school and work for DH missed. I don't think even the mouse would appreciate DH missing that much work. We will just fly in on Friday.
