Found this on TMZ... (yes, I look at gossip... )

Star Jones just got off a Disney Cruise... Gee... she didn't have just 2 pieces of luggage, now did she??? (I count 6!!!) (make that 7) I think she has my Luis Vuitton luggage!!!

The original article, if you can call it that was posted on 3/31 and it says she got off on 3/30... That much for a 3 night cruise???

Conditioner takes up a lot of space.

....DH makes his own list, as he insists I always pack too much...he was in the Armed Services and thinks that he can get away with a lot less than I think he can !!

Does he know about the tall tales, pull up a sandbag etc, drinking session that is planned for all members of the military, ex-members, spouses, friends, dogs, parrots, and anyone else who wants to come along?

I've forgotten who's in charge of organising a date and venue. Some Army type, I think. Steve (onekindman) possibly?

By the way. It's the 90th birthday of the Royal Air Force today!

Ah, yes...in Australia that is a VERB!!!!

About 15 years ago, my parents did a tour of the eastern united states on a bus with a lot of other Aussie's.....the tour guide got on the bus and introduced himself straight away with the greeting:

'Hi Everybody, I'm Randy!'

Much hilarity and snickering ensued.......

PS Apologies to any Randy's out there - another cultural clash!!

Yes, it is funny how different words can have wildly different meanings from country to country.

I remember when living in the UK, watching a Golden Girls episode that had a line that must have been a bit shocking for Brits.

One of the characters said about another:

"She's gained so much weight that she has to grease herself up to squeeze her fanny in her jeans."

VERY DIFFERENT meanings in that phrase between the US and the UK!

WHen I had my first daughter I realized that I had never really knew such a deep and true love. Once you hold that cute little bundle of pure love in your arms you know there is nothing in the world you wouldn't do for your child.

My heart goes out to you to have lost your child......people used to ask me if I thought it would have been better if Patrick hadn't been such a fighter when he was born. I say, I am just glad he can talk! Then 5 minutes later, he'll be going oin and on and on about something, and we'll all say "Hush up Patrick!!" Then we realize what we say and we laugh and laugh and laugh,



Well, I am off to lose some money at the Hard Rock Casino! Bus TRIP with my "over 50's" friends!!!!

Gydell..I'm no expert on leaving from LAX, but if you have a noon flight..and 2 hour check in I would leave DL at the lastest of 8:30...with LA traffic and the airport being so busy I wouldn't chance anything.

Woody or Kelly might have a better take since they live down in that neck of the woods

I actually have some good news to post!

Our DS, Mike, has decided to attend Duke Law School this fall. He didn't get into Stanford, and NYU didn't offer him any money, but Duke offered him a scholarship. I was rooting for Duke the whole time! His dad and I are so happy! He is onlly 10 hours away! (sorry west coasters, but CA is just SO FAR AWAY!).

Great news! Duke is such a good school.

Not sure. I don't think it's long enough, but I'll check. She referred me to a website that sells all kinds of OT stuff and I do think I saw necklaces on there that look more like boy-type necklaces, and I've been meaning to check it out.
