I'm so full of them. Hey, I think everyone is gone...we scared them away! Guess this will be a Kaylee/Lisa night. :lmao:

ha, we are back...but I'm tired might call it a night soon. it's past midnight now...

ok really leaving now can't stay awake any longer...be quiet now, I'm trying to sleep :cloud9: :rotfl2:

My leg still needs to be wrapped. I sure hope I don't still have to wrap it on the cruise. I would hate to have to bring all the medical supplies with me too. I'm not going to need the compression sleves for the edema on the trip because I will be on steroids temporarily and all the swelling goes down when I take those. So that's a relief. I have another doctor appointment tomorrow so we'll see what he says then.

Well it is sounding good for the cruise Deb with your leg and not wearing bandages. all the best for the doctor's appt today.

Where IS that tag fairy????????
:lmao: :lmao:

She never visits here.:confused3

she doesn't support the WB cruise thread!! :)

Exactly!!:sad2:

Here is my one attempt at door magnet creativity.

I like it.:thumbsup2

Thanks that worked. I had no clue what I was doing wrong.

Here is one idea I did very quickly. I am sure someone else will come up with something better.

Cute.

Nan, glad you had such a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I was in and out yesterday and kept forgetting(:flower3: ) to post wishes. It sounds like you have hada great time.:dance3:

I know we have talked about the History Channel's Modern Marvels show on the Panama Canal but has anyone seen the NOVA one? It is called: A Man, A Plan, A Canal, Panama and is hosted by David McCullough, the author of the Path Between the Seas. DH and I got the DVD and watched it last night. It is a very good synopsis of the book with videos, etc. Made me want to go all that much more.

Carol

We have that DVD too and have watched it several times, but don't think we've seen the Modern Marvels programme.

I'm currently about 2/3 through the book, hoping to finish it before we cruise!

I've been reading my PassPorter yesterday and today and it says to go to http://www.pancanal.com for helpful descriptions of the various points of interest that we'll pass and there are live webcams too.

The Magic is only 6 feet narrower than the locks themselves. and it cost anywhere from $150,000 to $200,000 for the Magic to pass through the Canal.

I'm so glad I bought this book.....so much fascinating info to read about.

I wavered for weeks whether or not to buy the new Passporter or make do with the 2005 version I have (because the shipping costs were more than the book itself). Finally ordered it over the Easter weekend and it has been despatched, but estimated delivery is 2-4 weeks which surprised me given that I've paid $18.70 for 'Priority International Mail' or some such, plus $1.50 'handling'. If I now get charged anything at this end when it arrives, I will not be happy.

Still, I do have the electronic preview that I downloaded, just haven't had chance to look at it yet.

John, beer is just not enjoyable to me. I don't know what is it but I just don't like it, so why drink it, even when it was free. I have tried different kinds, special brew, micro brews, never liked any of them. Oh well.

Pj

I'm like that with any form of alcohol. Have tried all sorts but finally realised it's the actual alcohol I don't like the taste of. Can't stand it even in chocolates or desserts.

So I would say that I'm a cheap date, except DH says ounce for ounce Coke is more expensive than beer. :rotfl:

John, I agree.

I heard the near fist fights were with dads wanting to buy t-shirts for their kids, while this guy was wiping out Mickey's Mates.

He also scooped up all the desirable rack pins by using an empty wheelchair to block access by others. He then used pillow cases to grab everything.

Later, he and his buddies would hog up the computers in the Promenade Lounge, posting the stuff on eBay. At the time, DCL offered an unlimited internet package, and people complained they couldn't get on a computer to contact family at home. (I believe this was just before DCL offered Wi-Fi.)

This all probably fed the frenzy to get a keepsake -- and people sleeping in the Atrium just for a pin.

John - if this happened on your cruise, would you sleep in the Atrium to get a souvenir for Sophia?

If someone asked if I would spend five hours in the middle of the night trying to get a Palo reservation, I would say, No. But I did. It all looks different when you're not in the middle of it.

Woody

No he would not... His wife would be down at guest services complaining about the guy who was looting the store. Of course I probably would have wheeled the empty wheel chair out of the way also.

Good Morning

I am still tired!!

Last Saturday Ian and Keith had a SURPRISE PARTY for their 40th and 11th. Keith's birthday last Saturday.

Big family came from Sunderland, my friend came from Aberdeen (north of Scotland).

Ian didn't knew nothing at all;) He was so SPEECHLESS when the LIMO came as we had few friend at my house as he thought we went out to Casino for meals and gamble. But when we were in the Limo and went to Casino for photos then went another run around end up different place.

He was so speechless when he saw his big family and friends.

We had a fabulous times.

I am glad that it is over as very stressful for me and very busy week last week.

Morning All - we made a cruise stop at Total Wine - now we have to see if it fits into the backback -

Sounds like some of you had a great weekend....and surprise party!!!!!

What a wonderful gift...

Good morning all (afternoon to our UK friends, night to our OZ friends)

Overnight I received an email from eBags, with a 3-day 20% off sale they're having.

Some good deals. The eBag brand of packing cubes (set of 3) is a particularly good deal with the 20% discount. About $14 for the set.

If anyone wants me to forward them the email so you can shop with the discount, let me know. I have changed my CP here to allow emails from other DIS members, so just send me note and I'll forward the eBag email on to you.

This past Friday, my boss approved my working from home on May 9th. That will make it much easier for us. We're on a 7PM flight out of ORD and will have to get a taxi for about 4:00 PM.

Now I won't have to schlepp downtown to go to work and then schlepp home. It also means that packing does not have to be completed the night before. It buys me many hours.

According to Mrs. Bennett this morning, we hve 39 more days until we leave.

Some one over the weekend responded to one of my postings regarding the cost of magnetic sheets. They had said they were only about $1.00 per sheet.

Where are you buying them? I bought a package and it was over $9.50 for 5 sheets, and with sales tax was over $10.00 coming out to $2.00 per sheet.

If there's a cheaper source, I'd like to know about it.

That's why I came up with my idea for less expensive swappable signs.

Shannon's and mine "special" movie is Stephen King's Pet Sematary.

You'll have to ask Shannon about that one... ;)

Our first was "The Star Chamber" very forgettable legal movie . . .

Don't listen to him, he has been very sick and on medication.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Sorry I missed you Kim! I guess I know how to find out who is lurking!

Hey all DH is gone again. I think we need to have a club of people whose spouse can claim residents in many other states and countries. If I did not like him so much it would be fine. Dang,

I went to an auction last night for our University Athletics Dept... They had a framed grouping of Hannah Montana posters and it was signed. Min Bid $400.

Anyone get a cat 3 that was waitlisted yet? i am soo discouraged.

I feel like President of the club . . . Did you buy it?

V...life is getting in the way of the bad girls right now:sad2: ....but have no fear, we'll be ready to go on board! :goodvibes

Read my tag from the tag fairy . . .
