Connie - does Patrick like the pirate party or is it too loud for him? You guys look so cute dressed up. I still have to get pirate costumes!

Oh, HE LOVES the PIRATE party! NOTHING is too loud for him!pirate: pirate:
He is the original party animal! His favorite band is Tusker Rock at Raglan Road Irish Pub at PI, and when he comes in , the guys all yell "Hello, Patrick, me man!"
and he yells back, and he has to sit right in front of them, and he yells at them after every song "You guys are GREAT" and he says "BRAVO"!

He is also well known at EPCOT at Canada, because Off Kilter loves him, too! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I always say, they should pay him as the crowd rouser....you know the person who gets the crowd all excited at those comedy clubs!

There were lots of us GTY on our last 2 Dec cruises (they lowered the price of 12GTY and we all jumped on the reduction) and they got eveyone's rooms assigned shortly after 30 days out. You really will have rooms, and you most likely will know within the next 2 or 3 weeks. This is not something I would write a DCL senior exec about. AND some of you may even get those elusive free upgrades! :thumbsup2

I agree, just be patient, you'll have a lovely stateroom, and everyone will be partying at the sailaway party!

I still have loads to do. I ordered the magnetic paper today, and was trying to order our DL park tickets, hence deciding to cut out a day. Been buying toiletries as usually we decant or take half used items, but this time we are away for almost 4 weeks so want enough of our favourite products. I am sure we can get things like toothpaste etc from onboard but other items we are confident with I need to take.

John bought some black shoes yesterday so he is just about done. I'm beginning with my clothing next week.

We like the Spa H2O that they have on the ship. I do bring hair mousse and gel to try to keep the frizzy's down!

What a stinker.:sad2: Hopefully he treats the next person with more respect.

I've been driving since I was 16 and have had no tickets as well. I 've never even been stopped. KNOCKING ON WOOD REAL LOUD!!!!!!

I have had only three tickets in the 30+ years I have driven. the last one is a story though, I was coming home from an overtime stint at around 5:AM in late April a few years back in my then brand new Pontiac Grand Am SE and with the windows down for the first time all winter and the tunes CRANKED well I topped a hill, and there he was . The officer just turned on the lights he never even moved his cruiser. I pulled up right in front of him and stopped. when he walked up to my car, the age old question, "do you know how fast you were going". Well I realy did not so I said "no officer, its a new car and I was tooling to the tunes, I guess I was stinging it a bit" "I clocked you on radar at 105" OMG he came back to the car and gave me a ticket for "not obeying traffic signs" other wise they would have pulled my license right then and there. :worship: :worship: :cool1: :cool1:

Just a quick post before I head out to work.

Can those of you wanting magnets please PM me? I noticed a few in the thread this morning but I am just worried that I will misplace those requests while I am away. A PM will probably be much easier for me to keep track of. I don't want to miss any.

thnx!

Ken, thank you for the signs and all your help to all of us :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

speaking of which, I got a call from Disney Visa (Chase) today telling me that they were going to reverse the interest that was charged on my trip. I was in shock :scared1: So was Paul. Seems if you speak your mind and tell bankers that their policy is rotten and to tell there managers sometimes they do!

Excellent new Nan.:cool1:

That trip was great, except for the hurricane. We wound up with a cat 10 stateroom.

SUPER freaking busy at work today, but I had to share this from an e-mail I just received. I thought of V right away! :lmao:

Good morning all, Well, we're a little foggy this morning, but going up to 72 and sunny. After 2 weeks of gorgeous weather and now that everyone is coming to town this weekend we are getting some cooler weather. Friday 68, Saturday 67 and partly cloudy, Sunday 64 partly cloudy with 20% minor showers (that may only be inthe foothills though.) So, you won't have to sweat and get sunburned, but a little nicer would have been nice. Sorry guys. I'll let you know if it changes - and it usually does! :wizard:

That would be smart to have a reserve fund set asside for emergencies and medical bills. Sometimes it takes hard work and fore going life's niceties to keep up with what life throws at us.
I remember when I bought my first house I was way over leveraged. I got a roommate and went no where for a long time (I think it was 6 years until Paul and I honeymooned). At the time Paul was working on getting business off the ground too, so it was my income covering it for both of us. But the hard work and discipline paid off and now I can afford to take a vacation and not over stress about the costs invovled..

"For Holly to keep your chin up and you make it happen!"
Yes, sometimes when life throws you a curveball, you have to do something a little extra. We too worked 2nd and 3rd jobs (after having exciting careers) to start our business. It wasn't glamorous, but we made it happen.

We are leaving DL on Wednesday 27th May around 1pm, so have decided not to get a park ticket for that morning(about $30 or more extra for that few hours) Would anyone be interested in a final breakfast at Storytellers that morning?

Marilyn, I would have happily come over to meet you, but I have to work that day up in LA.

Thanks again to Ken and Kelly...
Ken for the great door sign..and Kelly and the lanyard fairies for the great lanyards. Everyone on this site is so generous with their time! Only 40 something days left for everyone....YAHOO

I've been toying with door signs.

Do you think that this one would be festive enough:

abandonhope.sign.2.jpg

I was also considering the following sign:

do-not-feed-the-monkeys-762319.jpg

Both would work great for you two!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Ship will be too full for upgrades I think. I'm happy with our category.

The one time I did not see the Capt'n Mickey regrets no upgrade sign on the desk - I rushed over to ask....HAH - they had just forgotten to put up the sign.

I really do not think there is such a thing as upgrades...

John is really quite reserved until you get to know him or if he has relaxed. We got on so well with our two tablemates on the cruise that he was really enjoying himself and quite entering in to things. I am sure he is going to be the same on our cruise. He has a lot of stories to tell!!!

I don't think we have enough rooms as it is, how could they upgrade!
