I absolutely REFUSE to shovel when it's SPRING! Marilyn, I need your pouty girl picture you had yesterday! ;)

I'm so excited! I know, many of you will think this is ugly, but I've wanted this floor lamp for a while now: http://www.rugsusa.com/rugsusa/control/nonrugs-prod/~pid=233LS9875MULTI?prod=LIGHTING

Well, when Tyler and I were at his little girlfriend's house the other day, her mom has it in her living room and I commented on it. She asked, "You really like it?" When I told her I did and that I'd been meaning to get one, she said, "You can have it"! :thumbsup2 Turns out she's about to redecorate and wants a completely different style, and intended to give the light away (along with a matching table size version) but didn't want to give to just anybody. So as soon as she gets her replacement lights, the colorful ones are mine! :yay: I'm so excited about this because buying new lights are not in the budget for a while. :woohoo:

Here's what I currently have in the living room: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...wse=1&page=1&node=3071031&rh=&asin=B0000E63CF

It's a really nice light, so I figure I'll just put it in my bedroom. Hmmmm.......unless it happens to fit what she's looking for and then we can trade! :thumbsup2

Do any of you wear Birkenstock sandals? They are so comfy and i can wear them all day. A bit expensive, but worth it. They have some new Disney ones - the kids ones are so cute.

click on your flag and look down left menu.
I used to. They're so comfy! My friend Cindy has a few pairs too, and I just love one in particular...it's sort of pink paisley I think. I'll take a look at the kids' ones.

like the light Holly, when I was first pregnant with Samantha I had planned a Dr Suess Nursery....bought tons of thinsg for it and there was a version of this lamp at a local light shop that was for the ceiling. Had she been a boy we probably would have stayed with the theme but then I wanted something different.

I do like it Holly. It is fun.

There are some that are a bit like camo but with characters aren't there?

Oh and Aruba Minnie - must be meant for our cruise!!!

Oh, that would be so fitting for a Dr. Seuss room! Hey, I'll have to tell Tyler it's a Dr. Seuss light and he'll go nuts over it! :lmao:

I think it will look OK in my living room. My walls are a sort of sage color but with more green color so that will tie in with the green in the lamp, and my couch & chair are denim so that will tie in with the blue in the lamp. Should be just fine.

Only up to page 96 but gotta run...wanted to reply to:

PJ and Jackie, Have you guys seen The Tudors? I haven't seen it, but as I'm sitting here working I had on yesterday's "The View" and they had the stars on. Ironic the timing of all these Henry's.

Nope, don't have Showtime...(my much beloved Jeremy Northam is in it too!)

. OK did breakfast, then went to the stables and played poinies, hit super Walmart, now a quick wash and it's off to see movie #5....Step Up 2 (or whatever)....

I'll check in late tonight!

The Tigger ones are a bit like camo. Tyler would love those....I love the POC ones! Just too expensive for us.

Those are terrible expensive.

I have 3 pairs of cheaper ones - papillo that I got off QVQ. They just seem to go on an on and on.

I'm in desperate need of caffeine, so I'm running up to the yucky party store a couple blocks away. I hate that store, but really don't think I should be driving far. This nasty stuff keeps falling quite heavily. There are 2 inches on my car and it didn't really start falling (other than a few wispy flakes) until 5:00. Yikes!

They shut our offices at 3:00 PM today, so I got out early.

The snow storm is rather fierce and the wind is terrible.

I have a 4 block walk from the office to the El, and with the wind blasting the snow, it really hurt.

When I got home, the front steps were barely passable, so I got the shovel, and still with my backpack on, started digging out. I shoveled the front side walk too.

I'm not leaving the house again today.

UPS came and the 32nd pair of formal shoes came from Shoebuy. I think I'm up to about a size 24 with this style, I also ordered a second style, laced shoes, which was even cheaper (the operative word). I have finally given up on the first style. I normally wear between an 8 and 8.5, and I am now up to a 9.5 in the slip on style and the shoes still don't fit. The laced shoes fit just fine. They stay. The slip-ons go back.

I have to admit that it's been great dealing with Shoebuy though out all of this. Returns have been free and incredibly easy. I have bought Crocs through them before as well as my work shoes which are usually Rockports, Bass, Bostonian or Docker. But then I am familiar with the fit of those brands.

I did receive via email today, a 10% and 15% discount code for Shoebuy if anyone is interested.

Tomorrow morning is the test drive of the Smart Car. I'm really looking forward to seeing it and determining if it might be the next car, albeit, a year from now.

I'm actually quite pleased that it is so nasty out. I'd really like to see what the Smart Car is like in this kind of weather.

I'm also excited because I am not leading WW meetings on Sunday. I have an entire weekend off!
