taco night tonight....and I have to leave to scoop up the princesses soon. John should be home and starting dinner ....well, if he knows what is good for him! ;)
Wish I knew what theme nights they are doing in the pubs....

Samantha was asking me last night about what family things we are doing and when she can hightail it to the club....she does want to swim and go down the Mickey slide. Haley will be crushed that she can't do it. maybe I can find some platform swim shoes for her. What's the height requirement?

V...Taylor had platform flip flops and these huge doc martin type shoes to help her get on rides at WDW a few times! I don't know the requirement for the slide, but the tall flip flops might be helpful!

I think 12:45 should be fine! We were off the ship and on our way and arrived at LAX at 11:15 a.m. and we took our time. The hold up was the luggage wasn't off the ship. People got off, luggage didn't.
That's right. On the 2005 WB PC, some of Mrs. Woody's friends had luggage delays.

Thanks for the info, it confirms they do confiscate knives.

. . . After all, think of the number of chef's knives etc that must be used in the galleys on board.
Knives, including steak knives, are locked up when the Magic is in U.S. ports.

John has a small Swiss Army Knife and it wasn't confiscated going onboard. I would have thought it would have been in his pocket as he would have not known to do otherwise. When flying he has to remember to put it in checked in baggage or it would be confiscated.

How old is Haley now? I think she would be fine to go down the slide. How tall is she?

My DH has a corkscrew on his Swiss Army knife that he usually takes on all vacations - it's really handy, got all sorts of stuff on it for pretty much every eventuality.

But we read somewhere that knives aren't allowed and would be confiscated, so he's never risked taking it.

Has anyone ever taken anything similar on board? Or had a problem trying to take it onboard?

He can take it in his checked luggage. There are lots of knives available on board, sharp steak knives! Just not in carry on for airlines.

Interesting knife fact....there are a few nicer rest. past security at Seatac and they have real knives out as part of the place setting. We asked about this when we last flew and they told us they count each knife after each table is cleared and if one is missing, the airport goes on lockdown until it is found! Not sure if that is true or not, but it sounded realistic. Also, when we flew home last week, Alaska gave us nice plastic knives to go with our meal....no more metal ones.

Well, it is on Southwest, and it is the latest flight available to my destination, which ironically, is back to Orlando for the WDW part of this trip. Maybe I should just get a ride back to Disneyland and stay there for a few days.

Count me and mine in as another that is going to DL afterwards. We're there until Wednesday. 2.5 days in the kingdom.
