Just had a count and there are 22 registered tasters(inc 1 chugger:lmao: ), a couple we don't know, then the rest sippers or honorary members(non drinkers)

OK Girls, I wrote to Karen and Ted and informed them of our dilemma with getting our champagne onboard. I asked if they had a DCL contact that could help us out since they have done this many times in the past.

Marr, you try to reach your contact person also and see what they say.

With all of our attempts, something will work out and we will make this happen!

I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from Karen. Marr, let us know as soon as you hear back from your contact peson also.

Have a great day everyone......Sassy Bubbles, not to worry.....we will get this party going no matter what!

One more thing, Marr, could you add to the first page that we're going to be doing our tasting on PC crossing day at 4pm happy hour! Place is yet to be announced. Thanks.

PJ I think it's already on the calendar right. Thanks.

You could always check with Shirley and see if for a "handling fee" she would accept the boxes at her business and she could make a "basket" (or two) and deliver to your stateroom. I'm sure we could all chip in to cover the "handling fee".

I have shipped stuff to her before that I wanted special put in baskets and she has done that.:wizard:

let me guess....customs?:upsidedow

No actually nothing special but things my daughter had picked out some Lilly sundresses. My daughter is nine and she will go through ebay and she does not bid but she will fill my watch list in a very short time. :) She adds things to the list and then I look them over one was a used dress but she swore she really really wanted it. I had bid $30 to add it to my bidding list and was going to check on it later. It sold at $31 LOL. Oh well. She has no school today so I am sure she will find other things she likes.

Come on over girl...you'll know where to find me. Seriously, I plan to take it on the plane. I think I'll fill it with our Friday night/Sat morning necessities, put our airplane travel clothes in one of our expandable suitcases and voila, we'll then have an empty cooler ready to fill with the wine bottles that we have Karen ship to the Hyatt. How's that for a dual use item?!?! By the way....shouldn't we think about what wines we want to order?

Sounds perfect:goodvibes I'll start thinking about wines to order today...or actually ask Scott to look at her website to see what he wants to order.

still not going there....no crocs for me!

I agree they are kinda well a lot yucky BUT I have a pair of the flip flops and they are really really comfy. I would not wear full blown crocs just cant do it! However they have those new wedge heel ones that do not look too horrible online. I may order those and see what I think.

Did you see this over on the 'magnetic door signs' thread?

It was used last PC crossing and the poster took their printing off so you can put your own on if you wanted.

I actually bought one in Treasure Ketch. It is a magnetic board that actually could go right on your stateroom door (we put ours on the inside). It is now on my fridge at home!

Marr take a peek at them at MCO. There is a Crocs shop right there, near the center food court. They will have all the styles, if you can't find them locally.

does anyone do a daily outfit list? I never have but it seems to be a good idea. I usually don't bring enough clothes or am missing a half of an outfit here and there. Not anything to live by on vacation but at least I can "see" that the girls will have x amount of outfits for x days.

also, can we pack a screwdriver? I know you can get one from room service, however they are not the easiest kind to try and uncork a wine bottle with. Should this be packed in with the checked luggage?

at Walgreens yesterday I saw a new product, basically baby powder is a small bottle with some catchy name to get beach sand off you - I've known about baby powder forever, why didn't I capitalize on it when I could?

I have a little list I wrote out for all the days and I was trying to make sure I buy an outfit for each dinner and each special event that way. Then I was going to make sure to buy a outfit for the daytime and the night time for each of us. I have nothing done on my pc I was just scribbling but I think it is a great idea.

I think just the butterflies...

Natural Wonders of Aruba
Withdraw to the wondrous world of butterflies, discover the art of aloe production, and visit the world-famous site of Aruba's unofficial icon, the Natural Bridge.

Behold the panoramic grandeur of Aruba's coastline — boasting hidden coves, rocky climbs and gentle rolling hills — during a 15-minute air-conditioned motor coach drive from the ship to the Butterfly Farm, Aruba's most-visited ecological reserve. Upon your arrival, meet and greet your friendly guide who will take you on a tour through a tropical garden wonderland where hundreds of beautiful butterflies from around the world fly freely all around you. Discover the fascinating life cycle of the butterfly — from meandering caterpillar to fluttering winged insect, and marvel at the curiosity of these gentle creatures as they dart and dash all around you. Revel in the beauty of their colorful winged markings and the uniqueness of their various sizes and shapes and snap a picture of the exotic flowers, placid pools and tropical landscaping that surround you at every turn. Following your hour-long visit, embark on a 10-minute trip to the Aloe Balm Facility and enjoy a 20-minute guided tour of the factory and grounds. During your visit, learn the history of aloe in Aruba and discover the fascinating process of producing some of the world's finest lotions and creams from the desert plant.

After your stop at the Aloe Balm Facility, travel past Divi Divi trees and unique-shaped cacti and travel west to one of Aruba's most famous tourist attractions: the Natural Bridge. An archway made of coral limestone that formed naturally over thousands of years, the Natural Bridge stood 25 feet high and 100 feet long before it collapsed into the sea in 2005. Today, the remnants are a reminder of the beauty that once existed, and the spot — which is home to yet another natural archway — is still a famous destination for visitors around the world. Upon your arrival, snap a picture of this celebrated treasure and wander the picturesque coastline, where cool island breezes mingle with endless warm sun. After your 20-minute visit amidst paradise, embark on a 25-minute scenic drive through Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba, and make your way back to the ship.

They work great however there is one draw back with them. They make it way to easy to go over the 50# weight limit when you pack the bag.

Think we may have our "NO SHIPPING" problem under control. Ordered 2 Big Rig 30's last night. They are supposed to be very light and when packed full weigh out under the 50#. Plus they will fit under the bed without much trouble. This is from info that fellow DISers have put on the board. Will post our results once they arrive. We also ordered some mesh packing cubes to go with the bags. That should make things easier if they decide to go through the bags for inspection.

Doug and Carol

I have had one of these for a few years but now own 3 of them. Others here have also bought them. They are great! Be sure and get the cubes and folders too.

have you ever been to a butterfly farm? They are very very hot inside. Very neat, but very hot!

I am so glad you posted this. I know I saw a photo of one somewhere and began to think I had just seen one that someone had made. Did you pick up it up on your last cruise?

Pj

Thanks for the heads up. I am hoping I can convince DH to try a pair on.
