Happy Birthday Angie!

I have spent most of today thinking about this cruise. I was putting away toys yesterday and did something to my back. It hurts to bend and move a certain way. Not sure if I can do pilates tomorrow, which would be a bummer as it is my only physical activity I do all week. I am working from home (from bed) and just enjoy reading DIS, posting on that 3/1 thread...so much fun...and just dreaming of every part of this cruise. Does anyone else do that sometimes? I think about my DH, and am so grateful he is agreeing to go, even though I think deep down he doesn't think we should. But deep down, I know I'm right and he will be so happy once we are there. Looking at that dinner rotation of laplaplaplaplap and see how many letters there was just made me so happy! So many nights. I remember about 12 years ago we went on a 14 Princess cruise from Athens-Rome, visited Israel and Egypt. Having so much time on a ship was just wonderful. You really do leave your worries behind! And goodness knows we all have so many worries.

Sorry to go on and on...just so happy that before we know it, I will hear the CM introduce us as the Cooper family. I think I might cry!

Hey there Brian! Another person from Illinois! Chicago here.

aon the TransAtlantic last year, I didn't take ENOUGH picutres! I am going to make up for that this time!

What is everyone wearing on Mexican Fiesta night? I am in the sewing mood, and I am thinking about an outfil......Mexican traditional.......but on the websites, there are so many....I like the ruffled, very full skirts. but, I am sure they look better on young, thin, women.....not me! Connie

Holly, I got my jewelry today and everything looks great. :thumbsup2 Gals, Lia Sophia has some really pretty things right now. You should check it out before the cruise.
Lori, I'm so glad you like it! I LOVED the Ciao set you got....it looks larger than it did in the catalog. I hadn't seen those yet, but now I want them too! Very sparkly! :goodvibes I recently selected one of my free items and was so amazed when it showed up because it looks even more beautiful than I'd expected. I got the "wicked" necklace on page 56 of the spring/summer catalog for those of you who've been looking, and the picture doesn't do it justice. It's my new favorite!

Thanks again Lori!

Shawn finally made it home from Hawaii on Saturday. It really is nice to have him home. The girls haven't let him have a moment alone. They really missed him and told him he can never leave for that long again. It was a long 26 days! Of course the little jerk is as tan as he has every been:love: !

Working the whole time . . . . . . . yeah, I'm falling for that story!

Only a few weeks away from our ski trip to Utah. This will be the first time we have been away from the girls since they were born. Eight years is too long, it will be great to just spend time alone with Shawn and our friends. That sounds kind of horrible . . . . . . but . . . . . . . . it is going to be nice!

If I let my DH pack for himself he would have one pair of shorts, one pair of pants and no underwear. So that means I would be doing laundry all the time!
yeah, that sounds like my DH, but he would be doing the laundry, not me!:laundy: Also, it would get him out of formal night, Tropical night, Captain's photo night, etc!

You sound like me at night - I can't get to sleep because I can't clear my head enough - I just keep picturing myself and DH on the ship. I'm glad I have a couple of small trips planned to make the time go a little faster. I'm going to Hancock, MI the end of this month for my Mom's 83rd birthday and then in mid-April going to Vegas with some friends. But the cruise will definitely be the highlight of this year and a few years to come I'm sure! Until the next one . . . .

Susie...you are just down the hall from us. We are in 7625 and Holly is right next door to us. not sure which side though.:)

We are in 7638, which is on the Port side at the very back of the ship (next to the secret balcomy on deck 7)

I don't do shorts either, have never found them comfortable, so Dennis won't be the only one in long pants. :)

My DH has a THING about long pants! I have a hard time geting him in them for dinner onthe ship! Honestly!:rolleyes1

My in between trip is LA - my sister is treating me to a week-end at the Chateau Marmont to celebrate my 40th in a few weeks. It will be a few weeks early of course (since my b-day is May 16). I love star sighting, so we will go to some of those places like the Ivy and such. Any Southern CA have recommendations for star watching?? I'm sending down a bottle of Dom and a nice bottle of red I got as a gift to help celebrate the occasion. I can't wait for that trip...partially because once it arrives that means only 4 more weeks until this one!!! We haven't taken 2 weeks off for 12 years. This is going to be such a treat. And I don't care if the ship misses all its ports! I'll just be so happy to be sailing....

I was at a Hospital wide staff meeting the other day. They were talking about the demographics of the staff; Baby Boomers, Gen X and Milennials.

It was very enlightening and explained alot about the feeling of entitlement amongst Gen X and Millennials.

pardon my ignorance, but what age range are millenials? Just curious, useless trivia for my brain...;)

Bravo!! Agree completely! Each gives 80%, takes 20% and uses those talents to the best of your ability and you get a wonderful, happy marriage! I pack most of the stuff, check what he packs clothing wise. He takes care of the electronics and sees to it that I have a phone charger! :thumbsup2

I pack, Darrell cleans - I definitely think I have the better end of that deal :thumbsup2

When do you have to cancel reservations if you decide against them (spa, shore, etc)? I recall last time it said you had to do it before the sailing date, but then I also recall that once on board they said it was no problem to cancel. We are debating the couple villa spa, and I'd like to keep it booked until we board but don't want to get charged cancellation fees. :confused3 Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Hit B.H., Hollywood, Rodeo Drive. . .or you can have my job (just kidding, love what I do). I get to see a whole different side of the "stars."
