camcorders aren't with the videos anymore? We bought one for our honeymoon in 2000, but wow...it must be archaic!

So, Flat Stanley and I went to visit Woody and Steph for a short visit to DL this morning. I took some pics of the restaurants that everyone was asking about:

Great pics!:thumbsup2 I love your flat stanley especially the cute mickey ears and tropical attire. On our last DCL we brought Flat Stanley for Abby (hoagiepies) DD and we even got a picture of him alone with Goofy(he was such a good sport about it) she had great pictures for her class project needless to say...she even sent him to someone stationed in Iraq..the guys had a great time taking pictures with him:goodvibes Can't wait to be in DL...sounds like you had a fun time:yay:

Wow, talk about a small world, I just got an email from Hoagiepie 5 min. ago. Yeah, we got Pluto with put stanley on his nose - we have some pretty funny pics.

My nephew starts law school later this year. He's graduating from UCLA ini June and all his applications are out. He's been accepted to Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is hoping to get as couple more so he has a choice. Good luck to your son.

Where is Thomas Jefferson School of Law?

That's so cute that Pluto did that for you...the characters are such great sports about it:thumbsup2

Well, let Hoagiepie know I say "hello." I'm so sad she moved to FL but she loves being near WDW. She actually emailed me a while ago and sent a pic of your DD and Abby so my DD would be familiar with someone when she went to the kids club. Your DD is so cute BTW:goodvibes My DK love:love: Abby she is so good with them. As I get older I feel like the world keeps getting smaller and smaller:confused3

I ordered them too! And I ordered the Dom Perignon for a bon voyage gift for us!!

Well now, that's the way to really do it up and celebrate in my book. Good for you!

Thanks for volunteering to take the master list job. I don't think we're going to need to do it that way anymore, but if Linda says we should, then you've got it. If Linda says we don't need to do it that way, we won't do it. Thanks for the volunteering and Cheers to the stateroom celebration gifts.

Is it the one of them hugging? That's a really cute picture. Don't post it as we don't post our family on the internet because we are public speakers and people search us. We want to keep DD as private as possible, but I'm happy to email pics to folks we know here. You have my email, so send me one your DD and I'll show it to my DD. She'll get a kick out of that. We're going to see them in Florida the week before the cruise. Are you coming in early enough to see them?

Boo hoo! I'll be with you all in spirit! The one last May was so much fun...

But hey...two months from today I'll be in Cocoa Beach, adjusting to the time change, getting ready to go to Fish Lips...Wow! It's so close!:cool1: :cool1:

Cheri, I didn't know that you were staying in Cocoa Beach, me too. Where are you staying? Are you coming to Fishlips, I'm so glad. We'll have a wonderful time together. How long will you be staying in Cocoa Beach before cruise? We'll be there for 2 nights. I'm so happy we get to meet early.

World War II Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient

Sgt. John Druse Hawk, US Army

Notably, I did get the newly inaugurated President Harry Truman to come to Olympia and present me with the Medal of Honor on the steps of the state capitol in June, 1945.

CITATION:

Rank and organization: Sergeant, U.S. Army, Company E, 359th Infantry, 90th Infantry Division. Place and date: Near Chambois, France, 20 August 1944. Entered service at: Bremerton, Wash. Birth: San Francisco, Calif. G.O. No.: 55, 13 July 1945. Citation: He manned a light machinegun on 20 August 1944, near Chambois, France, a key point in the encirclement which created the Falaise Pocket. During an enemy counterattack, his position was menaced by a strong force of tanks and infantry. His fire forced the infantry to withdraw, but an artillery shell knocked out his gun and wounded him in the right thigh. Securing a bazooka, he and another man stalked the tanks and forced them to retire to a wooded section. In the lull which followed, Sgt. Hawk reorganized 2 machinegun squads and, in the face of intense enemy fire, directed the assembly of 1 workable weapon from 2 damaged guns. When another enemy assault developed, he was forced to pull back from the pressure of spearheading armor. Two of our tank destroyers were brought up. Their shots were ineffective because of the terrain until Sgt. Hawk, despite his wound, boldly climbed to an exposed position on a knoll where, unmoved by fusillades from the enemy, he became a human aiming stake for the destroyers. Realizing that his shouted fire directions could not be heard above the noise of battle, he ran back to the destroyers through a concentration of bullets and shrapnel to correct the range. He returned to his exposed position, repeating this performance until 2 of the tanks were knocked out and a third driven off. Still at great risk, he continued to direct the destroyers' fire into the Germans' wooded position until the enemy came out and surrendered. Sgt. Hawk's fearless initiative and heroic conduct, even while suffering from a painful wound, was in large measure responsible for crushing 2 desperate attempts of the enemy to escape from the Falaise Picket and for taking more than 500 prisoners.

WOW... Amazing!!! :worship: :worship:

After the cruise, if anyone, locals or those who are staying on for a few days, would like to ride the train in the evening, just PM me and we can probably make it happen.

Oh... give me more to do in CA!!!! :lmao: Be careful... I might just take you up on it!!!

That would be fun. Perhaps a tankard of ale bribe?

A shared takard after the ride is a great bribe!

Wow...you guys will drink for ANY reason!!! But please... have a designated driver... (I know... Me... but I can't drive the trains!!!)

Well I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe we will have a few "stars" dancing with us. :confused3

I hope so... we should be close enough to California for them to "visit"....:goodvibes

Just passing through and I noticed there was still space to reserve on this sailing today on DCLs' web site at 7:47AM California time. Maybe this is news someone can use to squeeze on, eh?...

Oh here we go with the Patty fingers again!!! Ever notice the Col. NEVER moves in the pub????

Do we know who will be our Captain?

How about cruise director???

How long do you think the roses will last? I wonder if they give you that flower "food" to help them stay alive....I like yours. I also like the tropical one.

I think they'll last the whole two weeks. The tropical one is beautiful too. Hard decision.

Hello everyone. I have been busy so now I'm trying to catch up. So far it sounds like most people are doing well besides the snow. I have been shopping a lot and still haven't found everything. The only person I seem to find anything for is DD 5. She has more dresses than I can pack. That reminds me, I've been meaning to ask, do the girls wear princess costumes to dinner on formal night? She won't let me buy a formal. She keeps saying she wants to wear a Giselle costume. I have heard people say their kids wear costumes but I didn't know if they just wore them in the kids club. Well back to :surfweb:

That's the one:goodvibes so cute:thumbsup2 Don't worry I don't know how to post any pictures anyways:confused3 I know what you mean and I remember you saying you changed your thread name. We are flying into FL a week early and planning to visit with them prior to the cruise and they are going to send us off at the port and wave:thumbsup2
