Yes we were - just a little ways down from you guys. Someone wrote something about our beloved Ducks on our door and then put "Go Gators"! We know that there were a couple of Gator fans onboard, but the proximity leads us to believe that it could have been . . . . . . . . .

Don't for get the Beavers. :rotfl2: Hello from Oregon. :cool1:

I'm on the 4 night Wonder Dec. 7, 2008 and the Magic Tortola Sept. 12, 2009.

Hmmmmm. if I won the lottery, I could do the 11/30 4 night with my friend Wally, spend a few days at WDW and then do the next 4 night with you...that would be so cool....

better pick up a ticket now and then.

My complaint was about a passenger. Teen, 19 years old decided to drink in Cozumel. Returned to the ship drunk. While my cousin and I were eating cookies and mickey bars on my verandah this young man started swearing at us and telling us to 'Shut the ...... Up!' At first we didn't know he was talking to us. But when we started talking again he did it again and then started throwing his verandah furniture around and started punching the verandah wall or banging his head or something. Anyway... to top it off... I then heard water or something... thought maybe he was vomiting... looked over to see him bent over in a weird position so he could put 'himself' between the two plexiglass pieces.. urinating off of the Disney Magic. Turned my stomach.

I woke up my husband (it was close to 11pm) and he went out to the verandah and this young man turned to my husband and said, 'What did you want to watch me p*ss too?' My husband tried to keep his attention while I called security.

Security did go to his room ... the punishment after all that this man had done... swearing at us... throwing & banging.. exposing.. urinating.... He had to sleep in his mother's stateroom for the night.

I will admit I was uncomfortable on the ship after this incident. What can I say? This stuff bothers me..it's just how I am. I wish I could have shrugged it off.. but I couldn't. And... we had planned on taking a break from Disney Cruise Line.. which is why we booked the Walt Suite. We wanted to 'go out with a bang'.

I emailed Disney... they felt they had acted appropriately by having him sleep the night in his mother's stateroom.

So yes.. we will be taking a break from Disney Cruise Line... gladly. This made it easier for us. This was our 7th Disney Cruise. It's time for a change... And.. in all of the 7 cruises I will say that this is my only complaint. I really do like Disney service... but I did not like how they handled this incident. I feel the teen should have been quarantined to his mother's room for the remainder of the cruise. At first I was so very upset I wanted him removed from the ship.

I know my feelings will be different than others. I wish I had never seen it... only because it will always be in the back of my mind. His words... swearing and telling me to 'shut the .....etc'... they didn't bother me at all. Some things bother us more than others...

Here is Disney's reply to my email:

Dear Rhonda:

Thank you for your e-mail.

On behalf of the entire Disney Cruise Line team, I hope you will accept
my heartfelt regret for any disappointment with your cruise vacation.
We truly want all of our guests to have fond memories of their time
spent with us, and I was very sorry to learn that the actions of a
teenage guest diminished the enjoyment of your sailing. I can assure
you that the comfort and security of our guests and crew members has
always been of paramount importance to us, and the same standard of
appropriate conduct is expected from everyone. Your concerns about the
teenager during the cruise were most certainly taken seriously, as well
as thoroughly addressed with the family, and handled accordingly. If we
had continued to experience any difficulties with the teen or his
family, I'm sure that our shipboard officers would have seriously
considered disembarking the group.

Although we are unable to offer any compensation for this incident,
please know that your concerns have been taken very seriously and shared
with all the appropriate shipboard and shoreside management individuals
in order to determine where any future considerations may be necessary.

Again, thank you for your e-mail. We hope this one situation doesn't
overshadow the enjoyment of the rest of your cruise vacation with us.
There is magic in the Disney name, and we hope to have the chance to
sail with you again one day soon.

Sincerely,

Joel

What a GREAT photo!

...got any more?....

It was too cold for Ballroom Under the Stars outside, so it was moved to Rockin' Bar D but DCL didn't publicize that. We were one of only three couples there, along with Nikki the dance instructor. We had a good time, but we were disappointed that there weren't more people. I think DCL really dropped the ball on that one. Brent didn't mention the ballroom dancing at all at the early Disney Dreams show. :confused3 There were also a couple of really cute kids who came by all dressed up & ready to dance (I think I saw Holly and Tyler peek in), but cast members made them leave because it was after 9:00 pm. That was too bad because they would have been able to participate if the venue hadn't changed.
Yup, that was us. It was very sad because Tyler was dying to dance with Bethany. So they danced a few seconds in the hallway until somebody else asked us to move. Bethany had such a glamorous dress that night and was absolutely beautiful. Will post a pic later of them dancing. Lori, I don't even think I had a chance to meet you. :worried:

We're really not kidding about getting hitched in California too. We're trying to figure out when to do it. It would a great excuse for a meet-up, wouldn't it?

Oh, I think a lot of us would be up for that trip! :thumbsup2 :lovestruc

Okay - had to post one photo - it is one of our favorites.

Leslie - that's a great picture! How about one w/ a sea lion??

I'm off to bed - I know it's early (10pm) but am whipped out.
Nite Nite to all

Your posts have an accent now!
Isn't that funny?! I love now being able to read posts and hear them in the person's voice. Well, at least the people I was lucky enough to meet. :thumbsup2 I'd have to say my favorite is Tammy's accent! ;) She didn't want to have her picture "made" with me! :rotfl2: I guess I'll have to share that story.

.

thank jackie, I'm hoping to get some more tomorrow night at the final performance. I've been feeling so bad that I stayed home from last nights and Wil & Paul just left for tonights show.

We got home last night and I haven't had time to read the posts since the cruise. It was nice to meet all the people that we were able to meet. Sorry some of you are sick. We did spend 4 days at DL and decided that we do like WDW much better! Better food and less crowds! The DL hotel is in great need of many repairs. I can't believe the way that Disney has let it go! I am trying to get 3 weeks of laundry done since I have company coming in on Wednesday and lots of appointments on Monday and Tuesday. I booked a dummy date so I can't wait to see where the ship is going in 2010!
I ran into you a few times (and Betsy & Brent)! :goodvibes Nice to meet you!

What a beautiful picture! She looks so grown up!

What play was it and what part did she have? I'm sorry, you probably told me but I forgot (OG thing).
Crap, I can't see it on my crappy monitor. :( Maybe I'll head to the library computers tomorrow so I can start seeing everybody's pics. But without seeing it, I"m sure she looks beautiful! :goodvibes

Things have started to calm down a little.

First, the most disappointing part of the cruise for the girls was that SOMEONE forgot to pack our fish extender. They were EXTREMELY sad. Thank you to those that still left gifts - they were greatly appreciated!

Our biggest disappointment was that we didn't get to meet very many people. Probably only a handful and that was just briefly. This was mostly due to the fact that our daughters went to the kids club a combined ZERO times! They hit us early with "You guys work so much, we don't get to spend enough time with you. We want to spend every minute with you"! This was said with little puppy dog faces and it actually made us melt. So, that's what we did, and we enjoyed every minute. Though, we spent more time in Studio Sea than you can imagine. With that said, it would have been nice to meet and spend time with some of you. Think it is also a little more difficult if you aren't on the same dining rotation. I don't know if we had that same rotation as anyone else.

Luckily we are back onboard the Magic in four short months for an Eastern. This one we will be joined by 18 close friends. The girls will have a bunch of their friends with them, so we probably won't see much of them this time.

We want to thank everyone for sharing their family stories and helpful hints over that last year and a half. We truly enjoyed reading and learning.

It looks like quite a few of us will be cruising together again to Tortola in September of 2009. Perhaps we will actually get to meet some of you then.

Wishing you only the best.

We saw you guys EVERYWHERE!!! Just never could seem to make that "eye contact" as much as we tried.:confused3 Was kinda wierd to see the same people everyday and not see others at all.

I'm sure it doesn't hurt that we were on the same dining rotation.

I have been soooooooo exhausted through the days. I am falling asleep really early every night and (listen up Lisa.....) dragging myself out of bed in the am...which is so not like me. I wonder if I did pick up something on the ship or if I am really just so sad that this trip is over! :(

I feel exactly the same way. I just had to leave my office at 3pm today and I went home and slept for 4 hours....it is 10:30pm now here. I am going to bed again soon.

In the morning I have been needing 3-4 shots of expresso to get myself going. I am so glad it is the weekend.
