Addendum

AA just phoned (at 11:00 PM!) to tell us that the bag will be delivered here in 25 minutes. Why they couldn't deliver it earlier this evening is beyond me.

Now the bad part is that I've taken Nyquil (due the nasty cold I developed 2 days ago) and something to help me sleep, since my internal clock is off.

Poor Sukie has gotten up to sit up and wait for the bag.

I'm going back to bed.

Ian hope you feel better soon and that your luggage arrives quickly. Wow...I can't believe how many of us are feeling sick now. Take care everyone...lots of rest, fluids and happy cruise memory dreams!!!!

OK, I'm headed to bed. Tyler woke up last night a bunch of times yelling stuff and swinging punches at the air, some sort of nightmare, and tonight I hear him doing it again. He's not one to have nightmares or yell in his sleep so I might climb in bed with him for a bit. I slept with him last night too because he told me he was so sad about leaving the ship and I told him I was sad too and we could cuddle to feel better. He never asks to sleep with me (in fact, he gets mad if I linger in his bed after the bedtime book), so I figure he's old enough where this shouldn't start a bad habit. He told me I could cuddle with his new stuffed Mickey pirate and he'd cuddle with another Mickey and that MIckey would bring us a bit of "the magic". Very sweet! Amazing how sad we all are, isn't it? :sad1:

I heard so many people starting to cough towards the end of the cruise. The last 2 nights I had a horrible time sleeping because my throat hurt so bad, and Tyler was coughing in his sleep the final night, so I thought we were doomed to come down with the crud but nothing more developed so it seems we fought it off. What a relief. I also hope all the sick folks recover quickly. :grouphug:

Here is your sandwich order...

I enjoyed meeting Zoe, she was so cute! :goodvibes Yup, we did end up doing quite a few family events. In fact, Tyler was a winner in "So You Want to be a Mousekeeter" one night. A few people were grumbling about it because the host gave him some help on the harder questions. Oh well. Life goes on. He was so excited to wear his winner hat. :thumbsup2
We were in the audience during the Mousekeeter event and I video taped quite a bity of Tyler's episode for you. I hope to get around to downloading it...I'll let you know when. It might be small enough to email, otherwise I can mail it!

Hi everyone,

Wow, time really did pass very quickly on board. I just got back from dropping Joey off at his residence and now have Danny in bed. The laundry is done (still needs to be folded) and the luggage is put away until next time.

Thank you to all you good people who we met in person over the last 2 weeks. I will try to download some of the photos (except the few that people asked me not to from the Rockn Bar D) as soon as I can.

Hugs to all and hope those who are not feeling well are better soon. Look forward to keeping this conversation going for quite awhile along with the friendships we made.

Hi everyone,

I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts, even though they make me feel a little sad--I really miss everyone! I feel so blessed to have made so many friends because of this trip! As others have said, I didn't get to spend time with everyone that I wanted to--there was just too much going on!

Thanks to everyone that's posted pictures--there are so many good ones. It looks like you Rockin' Bar D partiers had a great time! Hilarious that you brought your own food from room service! What a great idea!

I started getting the scratchy throat and cough about a week into the trip. I kept thinking it would go away (denial?) but after about 3 days I started taking the antibiotics I brought in case I got sick. It really helped, I didn't get the sore throat or laryngitis, thank goodness! But on Saturday I could tell I was coming down with a cold and I've had the sneezing and runny nose thing going the last couple of days. It sounds like I got off easy, compared to some of you. I hope all the "sickies" get to feeling better soon!

Jackie already told you about our day on Sunday. It was a long one; I finally got home to my house about 2 p.m. today. I'm about 2/3 unpacked but haven't started laundry yet. I send my sincere condolences to everyone who has to go back to work tomorrow--seriously! I'm so glad I don't have to face that!

I've downloaded all my pictures. I have about 4000, but I think 10% will be keepers. It's going to take a while to get them organized.

A giant THANK YOU to everyone who gave me a FE gift! I can't believe how generous and creative so many people were! I listened to my CDs on the drive home today and had some of the candy last night and on the way home today!

Got to get to sleep--my eyelids are drooping! I'll try to post some pix tomorrow.

Good night, friends!

You'll have to sort through them.

CHICKENBONE

I know, get my own line :lmao: Who's line is it anymore anyway :rotfl2:

I just read Steph's blog and boy was it censored! Especially the Joey part!

Hey there...I'm sure I was crazy enough w/o going into my husbands ;) business! hahahahaha

Yes, and I'm really lost without Ricardo & Erwin to serve me dinner! I had to send David out to get something because I'm just not up to grocery shopping today. Maybe tomorrow...

Is anyone else exhausted? Erik and I have both slept half of the day! David & Alison both fell asleep in front of the TV for a couple of hours before she went off to a party. I do have the excuse of being sick, but even so, you'd hardly know I'd been on vacation at all, I'm so tired! And all I had to do was get my butt off the ship, into the car then haul it into bed!

Ricardo and Erwin were our servers too..they were fantastic!

Arrived home tonight around 10pm. It is so nice to be here. Although I miss the magic already!

Disneyland was fun, we saw alot of the cruise peeps in the parks. I missed our fantasmic as taylor has picked up the cruise crud that is going around. I am glad to hear the I am not the only one who was sick at the end of the cruise. And...just a plug to mexican pharmacies...they rock. Picked up a Z-pack and it totally worked for me.

Taylor and I had such a wonderful time with all of you who post and those of you who lurk...and you know who you are cause I met all of you and you all told me you lurked! :rotfl:

I look forward to Japan in 2010:thumbsup2 pipedream of mine, but there it is...

Oh and for those DVC westcoasters (and others too) I went to the DVC Travel Expo at Disneyland on Sunday and you could go to look at the "model" of Grand Cal. DVC and it's BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait for it to open at DL.
They were offering some awesome deals (some including a night at the mickey penthouse in DL). It was very informative and they gave away a ton of free stuff...digital cameras, gift cards, pins etc.

I will be adding pics to my blog tomorrow. My homework for the day. Welcome Home to everyone and thanks for making our vacation so great!

Steph

Wow what a cruise!

I do more lurking than posting, but enjoyed hearing everyone's reports and seeing pictures. I saw the guy's youtube video of us going through the Miraflores locks, that was cool. I was actually surprised at the number of people taking *our* picture!

I got a little cold (sore throat, some congestion) the morning we pulled into Cabo San Lucas, I guess others had some similar. I think I'll have it licked in a day or so.

I'll post my pictures in a week or so, I'm also getting a little trip report for both of the readers that read my blog. (http://mynameisnotjonas.blogspot.com) Also, I brought along a GPS and (hopefully) have some KML files that you can view in Google Earth or Google Maps of our trip. I ran into problems the day going through the PC, which sucked.

It looked like there were lots of cruisers staying the extra day (or more) at the parks. I saw several at the Grand Californian, Downtown Disney, and the parks. The parks were plenty busy, and several cast members noticed the PC gear and asked about the cruise.

I did check the scale, I think it's off by about 8-9 lbs. :o)

I think I need another mochachino from Danielle and Benita. :o) Back to work tomorrow... er.. later today.

Kelly, hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry I missed Brunch on the 23rd - we left a message for Palo's the day before and had thought they'd pass the message along. We found it hard to get all the kids involved in activities at the same time, and didn't want to force it on them on the second to last day. We were really bummed to miss it.

Can someone please call room service and get me the cheese platter and some coffee? I keep pushing zero on my phone and get nothing. :confused3

While you're at it tell them Marr wants a ham and cheese and a big island cookie or make that 4 big island cookies :rotfl:

More pictures of YOU later. Time to go to In and Out for some real California food! What was up with that menu??!!! The worst of the trip!!! And people probably have brought roomservice to the bar before, but a tray so full that it took two people to carry???:lmao: :rotfl2:

OMG the california menu sucked! :confused3

OK, I don't have the pics off my camera yet, but here come the dolphin pics from Cabo. I see blurs on my computer screen, and only the tiny pics on the proof card that came with the disk, so I'm looking forward to seeing these full size at work tomorrow! :goodvibes

Wow they let you take pictures in Cabo? We were told no pictures but we could buy eight for $100 or 16 for $140 that really sucked. I wish I had taken my own!! Oh wait these are from a disk NEVERMIND I get it although slowly LOL

One of our missing bags arrived last night at about 11:30 PM. So now, we're only missing 1 of the 4 bags.

This is going to be the longest it has ever taken us to unpack.

Back to work today. It was really rough getting up and I'm still half asleep. Plus, my work pants are shall we say, a little snug at the waist.

Sukie and I are back to point tracking.

Last night we had a simple dinner, but when we were done, we looked at each other and said/asked, "No dessert!?"

Hi all! Arrived home Sunday just before midnight. The long travel day wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.:thumbsup2 So sorry to hear that so many are sick. It is usually me who gets sick when I fly but I am just fine and not too tired. My body stayed on Eastern time so I had no trouble adjusting when I got home. Only gained two pounds which brought me up to the weight I am most comfortable with. I am one of those few lucky people who can eat like a pig and not easily gain weight.:woohoo: I also wasn't too wowed by the food this time. In 14 DCL cruises I have to say that I was least impressed by the food this time. I usually enjoy it much more.

DH was dreading returning to work. He would love to take a permanent vacation!

Wish I had gotten to meet more of you. Like others have mentioned, we kept running into the same people. (I miss nanatink and her DH already. We were constantly running into them on this cruise and our last one. What fun!)

To my dinner companions...I enjoyed dining with you all. I hope none of you think that I was not sociable. The dining rooms were so loud that I was having trouble hearing the person sitting right next to me. Or maybe it was one of those darn OG things.:confused3

Keep the pictures coming. They are great memories!

Donna
